  • The popular San Antonio TV news anchor settled into to the ¡Nosotros! podcast chair to talk about her conversion to Catholicism, her long career in front of the camera and her new role in the classroom, training up the next generation of journalists at University of the Incarnate Word.
Romero also dished about working with husband Phil Anaya at KENS, being a mom to three boys and loving San Antonio, a "magical" city that she considers her second hometown.

Elaine, I truly enjoyed watching and listening to your interview of Isis Romero, I liked that you started by asking the thought-proving question about Isis's departure from KSAT and liked that Isis's response was that of a true journalist. She had no anger and saw the positive side; she returned to school and got her Masters. I do agree with Isis that our nation needs to see more diversity in our newscasters simply because we are a nation of immigrants although those of us that are Latinos should never be considered immigrants, because this land is the land of our ancestors.

Rather than diversity for the sake of diversity I’d rather see a nation driven by a meritocracy.
