    I live in Fort Myers. I don't see how it could be anyone other than Daniel Conahan, who was linked to at least 12 more murdered men in nearby Charlotte county. However, having multiple serial killers in Fort Myers would hardly be surprising.

He changed his name to Nathaniel Levi Bar Jonah . He was a serial killer of children and also cannibalized one or two . Then we moved to Florida and a friend of mine from Jr High was murdered by Eugene Giles , she was his youngest victim at 14 . Her name was Sharon Wimer . It stills freaks me out about two serial murderers , one I knew the other killed my friend .

    I live about a mile from the crime scene, and during the time of the discovery of the remains I worked even closer at the corner of Rockfill Road and Edison Avenue. I'm so sick and tired of people saying don't come to Ft. Myers, or if you do stay in or only visit the more affluent areas. Well...I've lived in Fort Myers for 38 years, raised three girls who all have two or more College degrees. We have always lived in the so-called crime ridden areas of the city. Ft Myers is just like anywhere else, if you're looking for trouble, or hanging around the wrong crowd, bad things can happen to you.

      I'm the 5th generation of the Renfroe family to live in ft myers. 4th born and raised as will my kids but after them i can not say where they will end up. My great grandmother was the live in nanny for Edison and Alva's son!. She's featured in many of the photos in the courthouse of the dedication walk of Edison bridge when it was first built and in photos at the winter home. My dad has a wood saw and hamer belonging to my 2xgreat uncle joe which is certified with a certificate of authenticity from the city ofFt Myers as having built at least half of 1st street in down tow to almost tice area where futurals feed store is now. Helk my grandpa and great uncle joe jr and Olin all have football records at ft Myers high that still havent been beat today! My great uncle joe happens to be the highest 1st round NFL draft pick to ever come out of SWFL as 3rd pick of the 1st round of the 1945 NFL draft.
      Ft Myers has a beautiful past and even though i dont agree with it the one thing we can not stop is the momentum of change and expansion. Ft myers population is growing at a rate 10x of that just 30 years ago. Im only 36. The stories ive heard from my family growing up and seeing some of those places now long gone with gated communities or shopping plazas sit where family fun memories were made. I hate the change. I wish my kids were able to appreciate the little bit of the original ft myers left as i got to with my folks.

    Wow, this is so sad. They were just thrown there...the remaining unidentified men pictures is a whole lot better. May their names/identity be given back to them like that they can be finally be laid to rest. With their name of course...may more eyes/people see the newer pictures of how they may have looked like when they were alive.

    I am from Fort Myers and yeah that area, which considered Lehigh Acres, is the stumping ground for leaving bodies, it has alot of hidey holes, lost many people that way. I still hate going there it always give an eerie energy.

      I left Lehigh Acres in 2018: I was getting attacked in the churches, workplaces, and schools (growing up), a very violent place, a lot of hate there. But you're right, they're always discovering dead bodies in remote sections of that town. As far as you having eerie feelings whenever you go there, you should. One night a taxi picked me up at the airport and as we were entering Lehigh we came to a stop at the Lee Boulevard/Delaware Road intersection, she comments that the place is dark and scary looking.

    I kinda wonder if there's a danger that the new reconstructions are TOO good- like, they're now too specific, and so anyone who looked just a bit different to them is ruled out when they shouldn't have been.

    • @chatonmignon4316
      @chatonmignon4316 4 роки тому +1

      I agree. Sketches and clay reconstructions are generic but they focus on salient characteristics that could be recognised by those who knew the victims. Digital renderings look nicer but they are not necessarily accurate.

    • @achaides
      @achaides 4 роки тому +5

      Other than hair style, it's doubtful. They use markers on the skull for reconstructions so show exactly where their eyes, cheeks, jaw, ears, eyebrows, etc would have sat so unless they do a bad job evaluating the markers, it's really accurate

    Because of the victims, time period and location I really think it was a pill mill...I think it has some merit but I could be completely wrong obviously. In Florida at that time it was the beginning of the opioid epidemic. Florida was the worst of them too. A lot of opiate pain medication was and still is made in Florida. At that time it became very lucrative for doctors to set up pill mills. They'd get the word out through dealers and you couldn't come with knowing the people. Doctors would bring trailers out into rural areas, away from busy areas. The addicts and dealers with the knowledge would go line up at these trailers by the thousands. You go in, pay whatever the fee is and the doctor would write you a script for whatever you want and at the max amount as he could prescribe for a month supply without drawing attention. All the patients were required to bring in x-rays, MRI or any other injury...didn't even have to be there's....the doctor filed those scans to cover their asses. The amount of money that brought in was ridiculous....and since they weren't a fixed location it was tough to catch them until they just got incredibly greedy and there was a huge wave of arrests...but anyway, obviously these weren't the most upstanding citizens and as is inevitable, people would overdose constantly....when they did they would have to be gotten rid of and that happened endlessly....also gotta remember these are addicts who either have no type of family and if they did the families would usually not think it strange if said addict stopped coming around. I mean it could be a stretch but I definitely think it's a decent theory

    Born and raised in Cape Coral, the city between Fort Myers and Port Charlotte. It hurts me knowing these poor men haven't been identified after all these years, and nobody knows if it was Conahan or not. I think it's quite possible given the location of his attack on Stanley, the guy who lived.
    It's my feeling that these men may have been coerced or lured to the site with the promise of drugs, money for sexual favors, or work. Maybe he told them he needed help with a construction site. Wouldn't have raised any red flags to start walking into the woods.
    Thank you so much for bringing attention to this case 🖤

    I thought of the possibility of a shaky funeral home as the culprit when I first heard about this case years ago. Until I learned about the lifestyle of Tihay, I then became convinced that they were victims of a killer. Quite frankly, drifters, runaways, street workers, homeless people, are all chosen victims of predators because no one knows them; these men were members of that unseen community. In any event, I'm 90 percent sure that the perpetrator is Daniel Conahan.
