If any of you ever have a problem with tail light fuse 7.5amp blowing continuously. Fuse is located drivers side under the steering wheel. Its most likely rear corroded light bulb socket. Water is known to get past the seal sits in the light casing over time & rots the plug causing a mysterious problem. Remove the light 10mm nut & reseal it. Hope my experience helps somebody! Before you call out an auto electrician. Otherwise brilliant motor!
Planning on fitting reversing sensors to mine soon so thanks, helps me out 👍🏽. But how does that one bolt hold the tail light in place? Seems insecure imo
After changing the rear light, water got into the light. So I had to remove it again to fix the problem . I dried it and resealed it with bathroom silicone.
I was thinking the same, my lights has accumulated about half a pint of water , which in turn had destroyed one of my bulb holder with rust. I have tipped the water out and am considered loads of bathroom silicone when the new bulb holder arrives. The existing seal is in poor condition and a section has broken off.

Ive got 2003 yaris, but the wires plug into a separate attachment to the sockets, not like this
Would you recommend to use any sealant when putting it back to stop from leaking? If yes what kind of seal?
I don't think it's necessary if the rubber seal is in good condition :)
@@screwsnutsandbolts unfortunately it isn’t in best condition. Just wondering how I could replace it
@@llune_music any rubber type sealant like the ones u used on the transmission carter
