Second time watching and I just caught that! How can they get such an important fact so wrong?! Toyota has been using a planetary-gear-based "E-CVT" for years now! And I'm pretty sure the that, by definition, you can't have "real" separate gears in a _Continuously Variable Transmission._ The most they can do is program the car to simulate gears in the sportier driving mode.
Are cars in this bodystyle ("Estate"/"Wagon") popular in Jamaica? If not, it's possible Toyota may not have thought they'd generate enough sales to bring it over... although it's a bit of a "chicken and egg" situation: if Toyota don't make this style of vehicle available, how will they know how much of a market there is for it?
