Please tell me if I am correct regarding your explanation of an example of experimental design:
1. Control (1st) group - 4 animals in controlled environment.
2. Negative Control (2nd) group - 4 same, but diseased (ulcered) animals with no treatment.
3. Experimental Control (3rd) group - 4 same, but diseased (ulcered) animals treated with the drug, designed by a supposed researcher, for the treatment of ulcers
4. Positive Control (4th) group - 4 same, but diseased (ulcered) animals treated with the marketed drug, designed for the treatment of ulcers
Then comparing the data obtained by 2nd, 3rd and 4th groups (experimental groups) with the 1st group (control group).
Perfectly design and also it vary from study...may be u have to add few more groups

Sir, how is descriptive research design under Quantitative research design when there are no quant measures involved?
Actually it can be both!
Descriptive Research can be either Qualitative or Quantitative.
If we use numerical methods involving variables & figures then it's Quantitative
And if, we try to develop a deeper understanding by applying non-numerical methods then it's Qualitative Descriptive Research.
