This is a cover of a classic 1960s song. Hua Chenyu, or Hua-Hua as we affectionately calls him, was a judge and mentor to Juno Su (Su Shiding) in the show The Next. What is astounding to me is the fact that he rewrote this in 24 hours.

Oh this is a rabbit hole and a half Dominic ! Anything he does will be a joy ! Soo talented... He's from China and a lot of his vids are from the show I'm a singer/singing with legends/Our Song/The Next etc... from variety shows he was invited to perform on ...or from his live concerts.. he is extraordinary...Nunchucks is a great start if you need one...

They have another song "Perhaps Love" which is beautiful. On this show, Hua Hua (and the 3/4 other Judges are Challenged by Amateurs. If the Amateur beats the Judge, the Amateur moves to next round. The fun part is the Judges are GIVEN a song and 24 hours to arrange and stage it. The Amateurs pick the worst songs they can for the Judges. 🤣 And, even then Hua Hua created some viral performances in 24 Hours. In later rounds (like this) the Amateur and a Judge (who becomes their Mentor) are given a song and 24 hours for them to create.... THIS. 😯 He is a geniys like a combination of Freddie Mercury AND David Bowie, with a bit of Prince, Bruno Mars and Matt Bellamy thrown in. Musical genius.
This was a singing competition, The girl Su was the contestant and Hua was the mentor. He helped her to re-arrange this song and show off her singing skills to the judge audiences. She won first place. Hua is a famous composer and a perfect vocalist too. Please watch more of his performances. He has another performance with Su "Perhaps Love" which is also an epic performance.

Days ago he have performed with a symphonic orchestra accompaniment and he even conducted the orchestra for few minutes!!! 💖! You can react to a cappella version of "I don't care" or any of his song. The first belt he did was 12 seconds, then he did breathe and follow it up with a 16 second belt. Incredible breath support!
