True, the processing power and software within the device can make a huge difference. As a drone flyer we've seen this in the new DJI Air 3 and the tiny Autel Nano+ with the Huawei 1/2" RYYB sensor instead of the traditional RYGB sensors commonly used.
Strange but I prefer the raw video from the Action 4, it's brighter and I can see more. Have no experience with editing yet but this changed my mind, will be getting the Action 4 now. Thank you!
The fact that the One RS 1 inch is competing favourably against the current generation of cameras is amazing to me. Clearly of the best purchases any action camera enthusiast could have made in 2022. The 2025 season will finally have one inch sensor competition in the action camera space, but this Insta360 camera is a first ballot hall of famer for sure.
very good comparison 🤩iphone 13 pro has sensor stabilization, f/1.8 lens and use whole sensor, when dji use 80% so thats another huge difference, but overall action 4 is really good camera, I'm very curious if gopro will release a camera with one inch, I very much doubt it, and if it releases the price will be gigantic for sure.
@@simoz78 not if i am using a gimbal for this action 4 🤗. With gimbal, this action 4 perform very well in low light plus with its sensor 1/1.3 😁.. make less noise and brighter. You can off the EIS and using gimbal for action cam.
Mr. Black , Hello . Can you please tell me what is the Setting for the low light video with the Stabilization. Its hella Cool with the Low light Footage.TNX
I have a hero 11 and am super disappointed with how noisy the shadows become when riding my mountain bike if i go into shade under a tree. Do you think the action 4 has this issue too at all or is it that much better in low light?
Not really convincing comparing auto modes on each cameras in whatever settings. One can be brighter because it is set brighter. Highlights are burnt on the other hand. Image quality barely compromises if you use EIS or stabilise in post...blurry artefacts while shaking are result of low shutter speed (the image of the sensor will be cropped either way while stabilising - you can do better in post). To avoid this you need physical stabilisation - gimbal or sensor stabilisation (just beware of the flares). Dynamic range plays the real deal and it is related to picture profiles. Bigger sensor have better chances sampling more details from bigger lens.
In my humble opinion some get a bit hung up on low light specs. Sticking with DJI products because I know their limitations etc and have Action 3 batteries etc. I'm not going out at night except to get snacks.
hey im looking for a go to camera to shoot highest quality video for like standup comedians who film in low light conditions and dont really care about stabilization but the video quality-please recc good one!!!!1
Informative video. Danny, I am trying to join your giveaway mailing list, but it keeps giving me an technical error. Can you fix it so I can join please? I have a hero 10 and your tips have been very helpful
did you try to increase the exposure in post on the insta360? it might have more latitude if the file, often the case with larger sensors. not sure if that would be the case here.
It’s not a fair comparison, the insta 360 1” is the absolute worst camera ever invented. It’s a shame they still sell it. The rx0ii which has an f4 has way better low light
great camera from dji. Im impressed
Going to tell my wife "It's confirmed! Size doesn't matter!" then walk away like a boss😅😂
😂😂😂😂😂
🤙🏼 *It's not the 1inch that matters, it's how you use it* 👀😂🤙🏼
Underrated comment
Can you please post the settings you used for the action 4
thank you. I do not want to go backwards with software outside the camera to stabilise and that is where the cost keeps things down
Great to find out if size does matter.

Osmo Action 4 do really great compared to the bigger sensor in One RS.
The action 4 , to my eyes, beats the One RS in this footage! Its clearer, has less noise and better contrast.
Thanks Danny, I'm going to buy a dji action 4 for the evening content 😅

Action 4 is a beast 📷
Great video Danny, I wonder if there will be a One RS replacement anytime in the future?
I getting action 4 this week. Hopefully not regret for selling my pocket 2 combo creator for this action 4
If you film in low light, u will regret it

WOW dji Action 4 is OSUM 👍👍👍
I’m just wondering if a guy can use a microphone and a separate power bank at the same time with the Osmo action 4
Weird, but I thought the Dji Osmo Action 4 looks better than the Insta.
you are right, much better, that old 1 inch is too old to get a good IQ
Is your iPhone 13 Pro better than the Action 4 in low light videos?
Come on, the action 4 out preformed the insta. And your intern hahaha. And you had no bias lol.
does this camera overheat as quickly as the previous model?
Mr. Black , Hello .
Can you please tell me what is the Setting for the low light video with the Stabilization. Its hella Cool with the Low light Footage.TNX
Hi there... the best low light settings with stabilization, is exposure 1/50 and ISO 100-800.. thanks for asking :)
I have a hero 11 and am super disappointed with how noisy the shadows become when riding my mountain bike if i go into shade under a tree. Do you think the action 4 has this issue too at all or is it that much better in low light?
Great video this is honestly a great review and you did this so well. I have hit that subscribe button and that like button because you did well
Thanks so much. I’m just trying to show exactly the footage from the camera. No allegiance to any companies
Timely comparison. It's certainly going to be interesting to see what GoPro come up with, and if any of the others compete on release.

Did you color grade those videos?
I did not change any settings what so ever, just right out of the camera
Size helps software 😊

good Low light will translate to good indoor video, not just night shots
thanks for the video, I will go for the APSC ultrawide lens.
Thanks.. great info.
I find that the action 4 looks better then the insta on my eyes

next, D-log pocket 2 vs D-log action 4

The one inch sensor didn’t really make much of a difference. Great testing, and thanks for sharing.
If you zoom in, you can see the true value of Insta360 1 inch.
haha that gopro statement did not age well. They are still using a tiny sensor
life is a game of inches.
And now we have insta 360 ace pro
Action cameras need to make an ASP-C F1.7. Game, set, match.
You didn't even tell us thr settings

Gopro23 AI
I can go in the coffin ⚰️ with dji action 4 ❤😊❤
action 4 better!!!
I really like the Insta system. The 1" 360 is really good in low light as well.
You mean 360 degrees one?
jsut do 120fps/4k and pump iso to sky!
