I had a 1st gen SE that just caught on fire. Almost caught my house on fire. Going with the 3rd gen now because i liked the phone. Thanks for detailing the differences.

I’ve got a 6s and a SE2, while good phones in their own way….
definitely have some shortcomings like battery life. A relative of mine has the SE3 and it’s faster than their old SE2 .

I had a iphone 7 before this would be a good upgrade because it still has a home button
It's the same form factor too so you could reuse your case if you have one (they take the same screen protectors too)
I really hope apple somehow sticks with a home button on one device
I got the se 2 now btw I just had the battery replaced because it was kind of dying quickly
This was super helpful. I just bought a starlight 64gb 3rd gen on Walmart for 202.23$
Plan on using it as my purely essentials phone and keeping my current 13 pro max as a backup where i have all my addictive apps and info on.
how would one identify the both of them ? seems there is absolutely no way to identify if its a 2nd or 3rd generation

There is no difference in the body just the chipset and model number. I just got the se 2.

Gotta literally look up the model number. The black one on the new one is more dark blue though to be fair
The colours of the 3rd gen seem to be darker in tone than those of the 2nd gen.

The se 3 is only worth it if u care abt 5G
Apple security updates 2gen end 2026 3rd gen 2029 . If my info not correct comment looking to keep phone as backup for several years
@@vmobile890 the 2nd gen should get actual ios updates until 2026 i believe and 3rd gen should be 2028 or 29 so security updates might go even longer
Does iphone SE have Haptics in control center and other things like iphone 13

Ive had an iphone SE 2020 the cpu performance on the phone was good I dont like the battery life was crap on it dont like touch id and the screen size is too small for me love using my iphone 11 its lot better than the iphone SE 2 I will never get the iphone SE they not that good
