Sun Tou Tou is an orphan in her twenties. One day, she gets into trouble while fighting injustice. Ren Xin Zheng, a professor at the University of Chinese Medicine, comes to her aid and learns her life story. Professor Ren accepts her into the TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) course to give her a fresh start in life. Sun Tou Tou accepts the challenge to learn under Ren Xin Zheng and eventually inherits his family's TCM practice.
Professor Ren's son, Tian Zhen, is a classmate she dislikes for causing her some difficulties. The quest of gaining knowledge is challenging enough without the added generation gap between students and lecturers. Maturing, she persists and finds herself taken with traditional medicine.
Tou Tou and Tian Zhen become closer as they learn to understand and empathize with each other. Tou Tou, her classmates, and their lecturers can now begin to follow their dreams.

I found this episode very inspirational and poignant. Having worked as a nurse close to my retirement in late 2020, this pandemic was crushing mentally and physically. I so appreciate the dedication depicted by these TCM practitioners! I would love to see a follow up season!!!!

This episode reminded us of the days that were so gruesome and we were fortunate enough to stay alive to see this day. However, unfortunately many families lost their family members during covid and destroyed happy families. The panic, fear and unity was never seen before.This covid bring the world together to fight against the pandemic and allowed us to think again about our lives.
The past episode made me so emotional because I can't help but think how scary it was when nobody knew what was going on and people were getting sicker and sicker. :(

But when it first emerged in china, it must be so confusing for the doctors because it was the first time they were dealing with such a virus whose symptoms were like simple cold but the consequences can be dangerous.

The master maybe a good master, and a good doctor. But he is a terible father and husband. Even after everything, he never apologized nor he try to explain anything. And everyone just accept that. 😅

There doesn't seem to be much love between Mr. Ren and Ling Lan. It's sad that there is no intimacy or saying I love you. I believe Mr. Ren's heart still belongs to Little Lark. Anyway, I believe in acupuncture, we should adopt that and TCM more here in America. Forget the political unrest between us, we are still human beings and should recognize a better or different way to do medicine. Especially if it saves lives or makes one's life better, free from pain and different maladies. And keep the big pharmas out of it, while we're at it!! (those aerial photos of China's freeways was shocking. We looked the same but didn't have the population rate China does)
BTW LQ really dodged a bullet because of Mr. Ren. LQ better be the best man on the planet for the rest of his life, he owes it to him. The Professor better not die!!!!
Es difícil para mi recordar la pandemia, gracias a Dios estamos bien, pero muchas personas cercanas no lo lograron 😢🙏 viendo el capítulo solo pienso en "no te quites lamascarilla" "desinfecta todo" "no hablen sin mascarilla frente al otro" , aún me afecta 😔.
Lamentablemente en mi caso murieron 5 familiares se los llevo uno detrás del.otro, no solo en los continentes europeos también en centroamerica,.te hablo desde Nicaragua, fue espeluznante vivir ees situación

Ojala TT y XH hubieran podido acompañar, pero como necesitan 5 años de estudio para recién atender pacientes era super hiper y mega difícil. Ahora a esperar que termine el estreno de ep39.
Id like to say that I was in one of luckiest country in the world when COVID hit...I am from and was in New Zealand! None of us here could have even imagined what other countries actually went through when that pandemic hit the world! The biggest complaint was having to wait in lines to get into the supermarket to do our shopping! As for the master....Im devastated that he was a liar.....I know wait for the next episode....

All things will come to an end. I think this series is more about promoting Chinese medicines. They added the love life just to have some interesting. It is rushing too much to make everything fitting in 40 episodes.
It is tough to watch when he says TT is his daughter. I'm here for #ZhaoLusi.
