He speaks so eloquently and with so much sense. Massive respect to him. Loved him as Niles but love him more as David! Thanks for his work for Alzheimer's. A subject close to my heart sadly.
David is the first person for me who so clearly articulated the effects of Alzheimer's on the patient and on their loved ones. RIP my mother, her sister, my grandfather - taken forever to recover from their suffering. Thank you David for being Niles 👏👏👏 Superb ! 🤗🏆
I'l say it, there is no cure because it mostly affects those who are old. I'm my mothers caregiver and I can tell you its very hard to watch her slowly disappear and I can't stop it. Its very frustrating and heart wrenching at the same time. There is a great difference caring for a friend or stranger vs caring for your parent.
Yes, there is. I have worked on dementia units in nursing homes and related to the residents really well, but it was much harder when my dad developed dementia.
I love love love David so much! I know I’m so late to this but I’ve been and always watch Frasier one of my favorite shows!! It’s freaking hilarious and David as “Niles” is genius so funny 🥰🥰🥰 I love the whole cast!
I hope he never developes alzheimers :( DHP seems to be one humble guy. Great comedic actor. Just pure joy to watch him as Niles Crane. Every time he brings up Maris 😂 Kind of funny fact. He wasn't into fine dining and opera before Frasier. The one who introduced him to the fancier side of life was the late John Mahoney (Martin Crane)..
2:41 Ah, s some of the people that worked on Frasier work on Modern Family. That makes sense. So much so that I said Modern reminds me of Frasier in that it has solid and clever writing that it reminds me of Frasier's quality. Not incidentally then that Modern is my favorite sitcom since Frasier. Frasier will always be the pinnacle for me. :)
Niles was my favorite character on "Frasier" and it's so good to see someone so down to earth and pleasant instead of the usual phony baloney celeb(s). God bless him. Yes, I know it's spelled Bologna... poetic license invoked.
In Frasier the writers were clearly taking a page from Monty Python in that they didn't date themselves with anything specific; they kept with large timeless themes.
I like is attitude about relationships. Don't Make a big deal about people being straight or gay. Too be equal, act and treat your opposite preference how you wish to be treated and don't air your personal business.
I wish it were still true in 2021 we all believe all lives matter including human, white, brown. Yellow, animal, plant bla bla. Let’s grow up and vote Dirty Dems out in 2022.
best actors can seamlessly weave between drama and comedy...Frasier allow him to play both...some of the serious moments in Frasier was powerful drama! DHP can weave like the best and is highly underrated as an actor...
Pierce's Niles was usually goofy and bumbling, nerdy and clueless. Yet there more serious scenes where he became almost a different character. Not a goofy man trying to be serious but the man the character really was, with the comic a playing a role within a role. Good actors, like Pierce, have great range, and unless you know them personally, it is difficult to determine if any character they play is close to being them. In the more serious roles on Frasier, however, I got the feeling that was really Pierce coming through.

Belle Singer Ignorance?! Like saying most actors are gay without any physical proof? Regardless..it doesn't matter what they are and we don't know so a comment like yours is ignorant.

David Hyde-Pierce you are a brilliant actor !!
Love his charm and humor. Really gifted actor with musical talents too.
So true!
This is a lovely interview and I enjoy them both. David is terrific and so down to earth.
He allways credits the writing....so humble, such a great actor, great human.
SO few people are GREAT humans however David is most definitely one of💜them!💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
I love this man, David. Thank you for all the laughs. ❤
I love this guy, one of the best comedic actors of all time. Love and respect

God love you, Sweetheart!

"What is the biggest misconceptions about you?" "Oh, that I'm George Clooney." Hahaha; that was so quick!
Really talented but surprisingly, for such a superficial industry that he is in, a really decent person.
I love his work..he is briliand !!
Love him! I miss you Niles!
RIP Larry

David Hyde Pierce is a 💎
I totally agree with everything he said about Alzheimer's. It is a crushingly devastating disease, and so little research being done.
I hope he never developes alzheimers :( DHP seems to be one humble guy. Great comedic actor. Just pure joy to watch him as Niles Crane. Every time he brings up Maris 😂

DHP an amazing human being

Not even Larry King could ruin this treasure.

Such a nice man
Brian is a very very lucky man 🥰🥰😉
Awesome interview...
his role as the suicidal congressman in Powers that be is really underrated
Wonderful interview.

@@sabejreid2072 you’re pathetic
I preferred the personality of his character Niles Crane...... He was so lovable and funny.

I respect this guy for many reasons not just Frazier but Frazier was the best or should I say Niles

There wont be a cure for the working class.
You wouldn't think that he would be so humorous Niles is my favorite character in Frasier and actors are usually gay!
