This adds a whole new level of emotion without the music, it feels real, like an old worker would sit watching men going in by the column singing it to try and dissuade them.

Thank you Moose. I got my inroduction to this song when I heard it sung by Vin Garbutt, who at one point was in the Teesside Fettlers with Ron Angel, who wrote the song. As you say, it brings the situation to life, as the best songs always do :-)
