"How long have you been working on that sketchbook?"
"Thirteen months"
I really love your handwriting. I know, I know, the art, I know, but dude, your handwriting is so neat!
Thanks!
Great sketchbook! Really love the stickers on the front btw. And how on Earth do you manage to do watercolors and markers on the moleskin..I bought the same one and it's very hard to make it work. Paper is too light for my taste.
I knew it kesh u'l come to this
@@doodledude3631 ehehhe
I love that style of paper I don’t feel attached to it I feel like I can play with it
I actually used the same books for inktober this year and used watercolor- just gotta go with either a really light wash or go SUPER easy on the water
i suggest getting the watercolor specific book kesh, they come in the same size i think and i find it effective? idk i might be thinking of something else
Brilliant. Love how you create art that could be aimed at younger kids and another piece that could be for older kids but you just drip feed enough detail in there so that it’s unmistakably a jake parker piece.
I'm usually not a huge fan of sketchbook tour videos but I have to say I loved this! Really inspiring me to draw in my own sketchbook :)
Really loving all the logo designs, Jake. Would love to see a sketchbook focused on all of that side of your work one day.
Every time I come across one of these videos I want to do something like this but I can’t draw for nothing
you just need a motivation, eg a gift, you would think to do some thing for a nefew, a friends or a love, come on, you can do it
"Too many ideas, so little time." The motto for us creatives
Thanks for sharing these videos with us, Jake. Specially when you show us drawings that we think look amazing and you're like "nah, this looks bad because of this and that". That shows us that no matter how much you improve your skills, you'll always find some flaws in your art, which I think it's what makes you get better and better.
For me a creator who finds his creation perfect therefore makes his creation flawed... or at least that's the mindset for me whenever i draw
Hi Jake, I stumbled upon this video by accident and I'm so glad I did. I completely forgot about missile mouse but that was one of my favorite comic books when I was in elementary school and I cant believe you drew it. You probably wont see this but I wanted to thank you for making such a cool comic.
Hi Jake! :)
I loved all your sketches, they're so creative and carefully detailed! You have plenty of amazing ideas that you certainly pointed "lots of them, very little time". Wish you all the success for the next sketchbook you'll fill.
Blessings!!
Congrats on a great year. Love the tour. I've been drawing in a sketchbook for the first time and have done a page a day this month. Some days are harder than others but I've enjoyed seeing what I come up with. A few fanarts thrown in. I plan to continue into the new year. And hopefully use it to inspire a product
I really love how honest your videos are. I have TONS of sketchbooks with odd pages that have unfinished sketches. Nice to know I'm not alone in failing to finish every single page. I'd love to see an animated Inktober mascot!
I do love sketchbook tours
Always motivates me to get back to drawing
Love the inktopus, inky and inktober logos... I participate in inktober every year. I would love it if you sold stickersfor the up-coming inktober challenge year so that I may put it on my sketchbook! Just an idea- I know you're busy but I'd buy a couple!
Thanks for sharing the sketches! Love the robot swag on everything you conjure up with it, DO THE CHRISTMAS DArK ELVE APOCALYPSE FOR SURE lol !
The santa drawing to celebrate Christmas, is kind of Warhammer-esque. I like it.
The work in your sketchbook is phenomenal.
This should be a video game
lol
True
He could name it splatoon maybe? Idk if I like that name though.
@@aaronm8143 splatoon is already a name of a nintendo game
Those are really amazing illustrations! Thanks to the UA-cam recommendations for making me found this wonderful artist! :D
Oh my God, I loved missile mouse as a kid, and when I got older I found the second book and loved it even more! I just found your channel and hope to see more of your comics and art in the future!
Love your illustrations and sketches , you got a great imagination 👍
And one drawing takes me a year.
Same oh yeah congrats on 75 subs
Great video Jake (as always)-you've been a HUGE inspiration to me this past year-both as an illustrator and teacher, but also as a human being. I'd love to see a video on "what's next for Skyheart"--I scored one of the last copies and I've enjoyed it so much, particularly knowing how challenging it was for you to finally feel "good enough" to start and finish it. I want to know the rest of the story! and whether or not you're giving any thoughts to having more assistance on bringing more of your stories and images into reality. I'll always watch your paint dry...
Dude i absolutely love your art style its freaking amazing keep it up man!
No
seeing you art makes me believe that i can see a future in drawing. im still trying to find my style but i love everything u do its just beyond amazing!!
Your artwork is freaking incredible!!! 😍😍😍
Great sketchbook tour! I love your mecha designs and avocadobot stole my heart.
Have a great 2019!
Artdrop looks pretty damn original and awesome! I might just get me an annual yr plan.
nice sketchbook 🤙🏾
Oh come on!

excellent sketch book man, very cool art you create!!
Cool sketches, the vehicles and robots have a really nice "Metal Slug" kinda style, really like them.
Love the Dune sketches! The ships are very similar to how they are in my imagination as well!
What a wonderful gift to see these sketches :)
want to draw something like the first page, the others were also cool but that one seemed to be hard enough for me, it also looked great!
this is the first video i've found of you and i absolutely love your voice and your art style, i've watched this video like three times.
Your drawings are awesome, keep up the great work! Also, I happen to think the 'Turkey Trotter' drawing/concept is great!
I love all your ideas. You're very creative Jake!
I only recently discovered your channel, your instagram feed, and your art, and your imaginative style is delightful! I really love it. Thanks for inspiring me to have more fun in my sketchbook.
Your style of drawing is very beautiful and you have a lot of immagination
Pressed for time I just skipped through, but I would love to play a sci-fi game with your design or even tattoo any of this stuff on people .. Love this kind of stuff ...
The background/environment course on svslearning was a very good course! Certainly worth the money spent on it. A huge thank you for having that course!!!
What a legend... what a legend
I loved this sketch book it was so creative.
Thank you so much, because of you i drew one of my favourite characters inspired by the first sketch in your sketchbook (the astronaut kid) you have inspired me i owe you dude.
Jakes videos always inspire me.
Really nice !
Turkey Trotter 2000 has to be my favourite
OMG! You are the BEST at drawing!!!
First time viewer! Very in love and inspired by your art. Keep up the good work!
That sketchbook worth millions.
I wish video game companies would talk to you about bringing some of these characters to life bc they are so interesting looking and could have some real fun with them, there are not a lot of unique characters in like solo play games anymore, and they would be a lot more memorable if they had characters like these
The sketchbook is definately the "research and development department" for the free lance artist. Love that! Ive used a lot of sketch ideas expanded into bigger projects thanks to your vids.
That lil chair spin at 9 seconds deserves a like by itself! Lol great video!
When you realise there are pages on the opposite side.
*TRIGGERED*
The sketchbook is amazing! I'm a little sad that my dream-style is pretty much like how yours is with all those robotics and science-fiction characters, and you can draw them so well! I hope I can practice more with my art skills, though it may be hard for me to reach your ability since I'm only in middle-school. I've been so interested with drawing and crafting since when I was little; I would like to compose creative artworks one day just like you.
I had a classmate in Middle School during the late 1980s who was so good at art, that his parents supported his efforts and talents, and after attending art school, he went on to work for Disney. Despite my talents in art, my parents wanted me to build houses or be an auto mechanic. I had to take art classes behind their backs.
Wow beautiful....Work with details
Since last inktober i draw every day, first inktober, then huevember, and in december i mix Animals and christmas things. Thanks for the challenge and the advices un your videos. Greatings from Argentina. #marielakarl
Mariela Cristina ahoe :v kk broma xd
GENIUS! Man from my perspective, I really lack creativity, so I got depressed, but seeing these ideas really makes me happy!😊
The time travel concept is great!
Thumbs up, all your drawings are excellent. I especially like the food bots
your style is amazing!!!
When you think you’re good...
But then you watch this video
Sketch Master *You’re
Heol. Daebak thx
@@swagwanhyung8413 what's even the point of that
watch kim jung gi, he draws from memory with pen using no construction lines and awesome perspective with NO ruler.
@@swagwanhyung8413 He did spell correctly.
The Dune concept art is amazing! Love the ornithopter :)
So sad I lost my old sketch books
Haha
Same
@@joeybutbaldy i realized I can make video of it and post on youtube so that I can monetize it 😝
That sucks
My first sketchbook was accidentally thrown in the trash by my aunt, it's been 7 years since then but I will never forget that.
Everyone collects or does something to remember their childhood but I regret not doing it.
It's so awesome i love your style, i wish i could draw like you
This has motivated me to start drawing I will start tomorrow!
Good
Late to the party here, just found your channel this morning. Very cool to have a walk through of one of your sketchbooks. Last week I watched Dune for the first time after a pharmacist I deliver to said "the spice must flow". There was no discussion on the subject but I knew it was a Dune reference as the movie was loosely in my psyche despite never having seen it so, I find it curious to find your 3 year old video with some Dune sketches..life is weird or synchronicity perhaps.
Inktober is already the biggest challenge of the year. Excited to hear you have ideas to make it better! I love the ink challenge.
Spirit of inktober is jake parker
Thanks for making a turkey trotter for us!
I think your eyeball in the mouth guy could have details added with recessed tattoos and keep the colors the same or very close for the creep factor. Awesome stuff man!
omg when i was younger my favorite thing to do is look threw missile mouse books (cause i couldnt read) and its so cool that you made it!
Ok, I'm not even through the vid yet. It would be awesome if you could get the rights & do a graphic novel of Dune, delivered serial-style, chapter-by-chapter or even smaller groups of pages at a time. Baron in particular looks so cool! It would be great for you to include a meta-character of yourself, with illustrated journal notes of the scenes, and/or expository diagrams e.g. the Still Suit. I'm so glad you're making time to do vids again; you're so inspirational and you have such a great art style. :)
At 15:29 currently, and you could add like armor plating to the creature to give it a more monstrous feel to it
wow this will give me alot of ideas of what to draw! my mind was blank on what to draw but these are some good ideas!!!
It would honestly be cool if you include a sketchbook or/and pencils that are signed by the freatured artist in the artdrop stuff
That avocado bot is beautiful!
I love DUNE, haven’t read the books, but I do plan on reading them this year. Instead of the spice, the ink must flow
The inktober thing he shown should be a big mouse pad
The creature at 15:08 could be a snow or arctic creature that can make him sellf in to a ball, i really se it in my head this thing stalking you and when you run down a hill or somthing it turns in to a ball to go faster
seen peter draws sketchbook now sketchbook videos every were , like them so much I bought a sketchbook and I don't draw but would like to learn, been practicing when I can want something cool in my first sketchbook to keep me going
It took you only a year!? That's amazing it takes me a hero of a lot longer
Wait a fricking minute. I have Missle Mouse in my shelf rite now and didn't realize you made it
ok i just return to my sketchbooks and i only need this video to subscribe, nice work..,... love it
I look up to you. You have my art style. I come to your channel whenever I don't have any idea's. without you I would have stopped drawing
No
Very nice video!I think your style is so amazing
Inky and Inktapus are adorable, I love it!
That Santa one killed me lol
AWSOME Sketchbook!i loved it!
Inktober definitely needs a mascot and I adore your designs!
I loved inky!
Your videos just fill me with positivity and urge to make something nice, ahah
I love your videos I am always trying to draw comics and I want to make one with only robots for a while, this inspired me
Dude, for commissions you could do a robot version of people. The’ll just send like a portrait picture of themselves and you’d make a Robot version. It would be amazing
These sketches or drawings that u have done gave me a good motivation to do more artwork not fortnite or sports so thank u for being kind of like a leader to motivate me to do artwork on paper not just on my iPad with my Apple Pencil.
You do so much Mr. Parker
The avocado bot is my favorite.
Killer work..I love them food bots
Yeah that Santa novel sounds badass, love that sketch! Hope you get on that man.
Love inky! That is great
