Probably the only place they've seen a horse is on tv or films , seeing a horse in the flesh is a experience for them likely never to be repeated ! It's appears to blow their minds as well leading in some ( not all) cases to some ridiculous behaviour !
@@kathellison8084 I do get that but all that rubbing and touching is unnecessary. Just take a photo with these awesome beasts and be on your way! Of course as a tourist you want photos but annoying the horses is just ridiculous. They stand in a box in the hot sun or cold with a person on their back and have to put up with rude, inconsiderate people all day. So sad for them.😢
@@kuroneko7022 I agree with you! I think that's animal cruelty. I grew up with horses, and no one would have allowed that. A protective circle should be set up around the Horseguards. You can take a photo and move on. But besieging and touching the animals should not be allowed.
This horse is not pleased with being on duty. He has had it with tourists who take advantage of him and his rider. He is definitely one of the horses who indicates to the tourists how he feels.
I wish they would stop all from doing this. I’m sure they like the tourism but there are lots of other things to see in London. Please give some respect back to these soldiers and the horses.
There's plenty of interesting stuff as far as architecture, museums covering British and international history and prehistory, art galleries, the Tower of London torture tours and plenty more. Maybe they come here because it's free. Before cheap international travel and social media visitors to this location tended to visit out of historical curiosity and already knew a fair bit about the place and the military function of the Household Cavalry. Today's visitors come for a photo op and to take the piss for a laugh. It's time to change how things are done here because it's getting worse every year.
best to keep your distance especially from a horse that doesn't know you and/or lays its ears back - The jaw strength (masseter muscle) of a horse is about 500 psi (pounds per square inch) Humans' jaw strength are usually less than 200 psi, while a Pit Bull measures 235 psi (#3 dog breed in jaw strength). injuries can be severe, however, ranging from simple lacerations, through loss of skin and flesh, all the way to amputation of fingers, ears, or noses. Severe bruising, torn connective tissue, and fractures are also possible results of being bitten by a horse.
If biten, they look at the guard like they expect an apology, or something. I think they should put the sign in neon lights that blink rapidly the closer people get. Bet they still wouldn't read it. People representing the human race...kinda makes ya sick, huh?
Good guardsman. Made every attempt to prevent the horse from biting and just plain chivalrous pulling him up so the lady felt safe enough to move out. Well done!
I go to Gatlinburg every year and i have no desire to take a picture with a black bear just like at a trailride i have no desire to pet the other horses i do not know😮 i have 2 teacup poodles and im scared of them.. and if i ever visit this place I'd be taking pictures from across the street.. much respect to the Kingsmen but no im not taking a picture beside you😊
Please people stop saluting, it's insulting. Notice how the woman in the white trench coat stopped and angled her bag so the horse could reach it. The aim used to be to get yourself shouted at but now its to be bitten or handbag or backpack grabbed . The woman at the finish was a twit, most people would move forward under the circumstances but she just kept walking further back. With luck her party didn't manage a photo.
Don't put yourself in a predicament, were your going backwards. The horse was trying to tell you, to move AWAY. Good job alerting the people around you of what was happening Abdullah, so people could at least reach out to her.

Haha - the horse pranked her and got her in trouble. 😁 (Of course not, but it looked like it). The guard was quite nice about it. She never did understand what was going on - maybe no English, and certainly no idea that she was endangering herself.
THAT was an obscure comment. Sounds like a 12 year old trying to sound like a 35 year old Rhoades scholar speaking in word salad. Secondly, if you have such feelings concerning the monarchy, WHY are you here? Shoo....get out now
You would think that most of these people had never seen a horse before. It blows my mind.

Most people haven’t been this close to a horse before. Then you add the royalty/ tourist- ness with the photographs. They think it’s a petting zoo.
I know , it’s a horse and you have never seen or touched one before.

He's most likely thinking, "Same bunch of idiot tourists. Different day. I'll just nip a few of 'em to amuse myself until my shift is over."
Why are people so bloody stupid around horses.????
Because an awful lot of them come from the Asian continent.
True.
Only one young lad had the decency to say thank you to the guard.
4:30 - It made a nice change, didn't it?! 👦👍

Especially in her case!! 😂
its the laughing afterwards thats disgusting
People very often laugh when they are scared or embarrassed. Natural reaction.
Not unusual to see people laugh when scared, nervous etc

Why would they laugh when they do something stupid?
It is a nervous laugh from fright or realizing they did something stupid.
Because they are stupid.

If she got behind the horse, it may have kicked her. The stupidity of people amazes me. She had no business being in there in the first place.
