  • This time-lapse video of a chalk-stream was captured over 12 months in a private garden near Andover, Hampshire from December 2022 to December 2023.
The footage was commissioned by the Environment Agency to document how a chalk stream evolves over the course of a full year, and our panoramic time-lapse camera was just the piece of equipment for the job!

The best timelapse of a chalk stream I've ever seen. Thx youtube, thx horizon imaging.
I'm looking forward to seeing 2024 in a year.

I like such timelapses. Maybe this one would benefit for some more brightness compensation inbetween the images?

Thanks LaggerSVK! ☺️ I did add some brightness correction using the software I used to assemble the time-lapse, called GlueMotion. Do you have a recommendation for software to use for assembling time-lapses? I’m always open to new ways of doing things! 😊

This has revolutionised my way of thinking and living. I cannot believe that 12 month time-lapse film of a chalk stream in Andover, Hampshire has been so groundbreaking it has forever changed my outlook on life. The distinct seasonal pattern in groundwater flows which are at their lowest in early Autumn, evident in the “12 month time-lapse film of a chalk stream in Andover, Hampshire” due to water percolation and water table levels is mesmerising (thanks A-level Geography). The water cycle which is present here, I have realised to be omnipresent throughout my live. Thank you so much Horizon Imaging for this; my adoration of this grows and I am hastily expecting various more chalk stream time lapses in the future. Not only will these continue to make a significant impact on my life, but 12 month time-lapse film of a chalk stream in Andover, Hampshire has the potential to make a significant, life-altering, long-term impact on the future of all societies.
