  • I break down Elliot Bonnet of France’s play in the World Beach Ultimate Championship semifinal game between France and the USA. Elliot was dominant and at only 20yrs old took over and was unstoppable.
    I discuss what Elliot did in that game to make him so difficult to guard and his confidence in the big game situation despite his youth.

    Once Al-Salaam places that hand check on him he has him beat. Really good on his part to sense that knowing he can roll and close him off to the break side. 5:06

    Good video, thank you for putting more light on him! I love how every star players in the French team were anonymized by Elliot in this video ^^' Great team, Lison, Sacha, Nasser (and everyone) made it easier for Elliot to play his full potential!
    I was astonished by his performance in the World Games tryouts, he was even younger and didn't make the trip but he kept working hard. I love how serious he is in his work and on the field.
    Fun fact, he led his college mixed team to gold in a great matchup against Malvin Schmidt (young star of the European champions French mixed team), with great composure.
    Seeing him cry at the end of worlds shows how much it meant and how much emotions are kept inside during the games!

    I was also very very impressed by the way he played. Definitely, I want to start cutting deep from the handler space. The way you break down so many important details is just amazing. Thanks for sharing your ultimate experience

      theres alot of things regarding cutting esp like proper juking or press releases that we can take away from watching wide receivers in football.. pretty sure everyone in ultimate can work on some form of footwork.

      @@kurtegibson my thoughts exactly!! miguel is still arguably the quickest player I've ever seen touch a field. I believe beach would have played to his advantage.

    Question since I don't know much about him or beach ulti: how well can Bonnet's skill set in beach translate over to regular ultimate asides from speed?
    Unless he's already excelling in major tournaments such as EUCF and Windmill or France open 🤔

    • @unreal4139
      @unreal4139 Рік тому +3

      Not sure if it can translate well. Players good on grass are usually good on sand but players good on sand aren't necessarily good on grass. He's on a league of his own though and he clearly looks like he can cut really well on grass. I have yet to hear of him in the European club scene though

      Elliot is a very young and athletic players who already had great performance in grass. He is guy who like to learn and work hard to be a great player. The next step for him is to compete against smart players in Europe or in north America and I’m pretty sure with his attitude and his work he is going to be a great player.
