I believe it is a good practice. Bc so many owners don’t pay enough attention to their pets. I believe it helps, and I do it. But I don’t believe it really is true. It is just helping me to be empathetic to my pet. To predict his needs and wants. Just like a mom can predict a baby’s. It is very practical. Cats are more communicative than dogs actually. Dogs think in pictures. Cats too. But dogs attention switch too fast. Cats attentions can also be fast but not as fast. It would have been interesting to have reviewed a cat.
my trick is when my dog looks at me, i picture what i want her to do like a video playing just behind my forehead. i'm pretty sure dogs can pick up on the information inside the video and understand it. Talking to her (explaining stuff) also seems to work.
