Cool is that the dwp 8.11? How much do you weight? What’s your previous board? Dimensions? Thinking to get a 8.11 but afraid of the stability in open ocean. Thx and a happy new year 🎉
@@RamonSBruhn Hi. Yep. It's the DWP 107L. My last board was a 7'8" by 18" by 110L custom shaped KT. And this Armstrong board is easier to paddle up and actually has more stability than that board. Downsides are the weight (my KT is 11.67lbs and this is 14.0 lbs) almost 2.5 lbs heavier. And the board rails are very easy to crack. Right where your paddle stroke and exit is the board has a sharp chined rail and because of the point on this rail if you hit it with the paddle it will get a hole and you'll get water in the board. I made a hole in it on my first session. Patched it then a couple sessions later made another hole. So I had to add a carbon fiber reinforced strip down both rails to fix this issue. I was super irritated about having to do this. Other than those things I love the board. I prefer my KT if downwinding with the wing or foil drive. But it paddling up I prefer the 9' Armstrong board. 😎🤙
@@flightjunkie808 Thanks a lot mate. That thing with the rails sucks !!! I have now the Armstrong 128l 8.2 x 20 and looking for sth narrower but I am afraid of sizing down 20 liters. I am 85Kg without wetsuit. Like also the North Horizon and I have heard that Axis is going to bring out some new great boards but dont know how the Horizon or Axis work with the armstrong foils.
@ Axis and Armstrong setups run about the same position in the tracks. You'll be fine with the Axis Frank board if you decide to go that way. I recommend 9' long and weight in kg plus 30 rounded up for easy paddle uos
