- The Budokai tenkaichi series is home to some of the greatest dbz games and I hope budokai tenkaichi 4 becomes one of them. For now though we are checking out the best dbz co-op game that proves that this series is blessed in Dragonball Z Tenkaichi tag team! Is this game really that great!?

A tip for the button mashing parts: you need to push all of the main buttons triangle, square, etc. not just circle to get the full amount of hits
and also you can help each other with the qte mini games

Tip: If someone of you are dead, and you have 5 blue bars, if you press L + down + circle, you can revive with one health bar. Finally you play this game, it´s amazing 😍

Decided to play this the other day. If you have 5 union stocks you can revive your teammate or they can revive themselves with L + Down + Circle. If you're both alive that input puts both players in burst for the same cost. This game is mad sick honestly.
Also you can fuse in this game. It gives control to the player who requested it. Potara Fusion is different but I forgot how. Haven't tried it myself cause I haven't unlocked the fusions and I'm just enjoying going through the game. There's a text guide in the game cause it has no interactive tutorials like previous games.
6:30 I might be crazy, but iirc you can revive by spending all those 5 blue bars, using the command to insta max power, I think it was L + backwards + circle or something like that, to balance that, i don't know if you guys noticed, but both players share the blue bars, for it to charge up to 5, neither of them can max power by charging, transform or use unique powers of L + circle, and if one of the 2 revive or insta max power, the shared blue bars are reseted
Loved playing this game with my brother, always did 2v1s with the CPU at very strong. Awesome to see you cover this

@@EternalStorm796 yeah but xenoverse and zenkai battle royale also had a 2v2 mode, I don't think bandai released a DBZ 3D arena fighter that didn't have that mode after 2011, besides maybe the really awful ones like the kinect one or ultimate tenkaichi. So maybe there's hope

Honestly after playing Xenoverse I would rather just have the 1v1 thing with switch ins like in Tenkaichi 3
@@milkbottle4u Looking at Battle of Z, Xenoverse 1, Xenoverse 2, Kakarot... I think its hightime they made it a norm, because it doesn't make sense to still be playing story stages against saibamen, cell jrs, metal coolers, frieza soldiers, still with one-on-one team battles. They can incorporate both the modern all-in-one team battles and classic one-on-one team battles

Tenkaichi Tag Team also alluded me back in the day, along with the fact that I was running out of room on my PSP memory card (I was being conservative with it's remaining data because of a Vanillaware game I wanted to get... which ended up being Japan only). Really cool to see you cover it here; with so many Dragon Ball games there were bound to be some forgotten ones and this tends to be one.
2:10 - That Dodonpa took it's sweet time to come out. It may not be the same game but I certainly recall similar situations happening in Xenoverse where other players/computer would knock the opponent out of the way of my special.
3:26 - How nice of him; it looks like Yamcha is paying his respects to the fallen Saibeman. What an honourable fighter!
5:09 - Well, the Destructo Discs could have helped with the accuracy by removing an arm from Gohan.
8:28 - The double dodge was a pretty cool moment as was the 9:04 finale to this fight.
11:00 - Oh no; half those Hell Zone Grenades hit the floor instead. I suppose that is to compensate for the Ultimates surprisingly good tracking.

I'm gonna be honest I play this game fairly often and the way to win those clashes is to mash all the buttons,
I thought it was only circle but I was wrong.

You’re able to do 1v2, 2v1, 1v1 in this game as well. And if you look in the controls, you can also revive your teammate one time per game

God, I remeber playing this game as a kid back in my psp (I sold it 7 years ago for reference). I can still remember that I used to main Videl, her L triangle only wasted 2 bars, was an auto tracking move, could basically hit from the other side of the map, that move also works as a combo extender and can combo onto itself or into regular rush (the main combo starter in budokai games), easy +40 hits combos without the L down triangle, and she deals absurd damage
Now I hope they add a online tag team co-op mode in T4, this actually looks fun as hell

Quick fact about the mashing thing when hitting supers, although the symbol is for the circle button it counts every attack button, basically you have more chances if you hit the 4 shapes instead of just the circle

Try searching some of the mods it has, there are allot of mods that add characters from db, dbs, dbgt, sdbh and dbz movies. Each with Thier own animation and sometimes new voice lines. All of them are free to download and they are so good!

Bruh I’ve been saying I really REALLY hope they add a tag team mechanic in BT4. It would make missions like Goku vs Zamasu and Black vs Vegeta so much more hype and realistic.

@Firewynn TV wdym? Ofc with what we know now It could be a reboot, a new game for the series... then why is everyone saying BT4? Because 1 theres hype and a BT4 game is what, mainly, every fan wants; 2, the english trailer said "A New Budokai Tenkaichi Begins"; 3, the official DB site talked about the 1st, 2nd and 3rd game, not even mentioning games like Raging Blast or Ultimate Tenkaichi (which shouldnt even have been named "Tenkaichi" here knowing its name was 'Ultimate Blast' in jp) suggesting even more that this announcement might be for a new installment in the Budokai Tenkaichi series. So, for the people in general, there are enough reasons to think this game is going to be Budokai Tenkaichi 4. Noone is saying thats the definitive truth, but to put things in short, thats what seems more likely.
Also, 'Sparking Zero' its the leaked in-development codename for the game. It does not mean it'll be its final name. Games in general have different names during development, just like Kakarot was called "Project Z". And even if that ends up being its name, it doesnt affect it being called BT4 here in the west, because 'Sparking' is the original JP name for the series, while 'Budokai Tenkaichi' its the name used here [BT1 --> Sparking!; BT2 --> Sparking! NEO; BT3 --> Sparking! METEOR]. So, following, here would be BT4 while being Sparking! ZERO there, but, again, we still dont know.

Im sorry if I dont understand what you're saying, but what you just said does not favor the argument that it will be a reboot at all, even less to say "entirely true", whe know almost nothing about the development of it, aside from the fact that 'Sparking! ZERO' is a codename and, just in case you didnt know, codenames almost always change for release. Heck even what you said just favors the argument that the early dev stages names mean nothing, as they could easily change due to various reasons (Im still not sure if what you said is true, will appreciate some sources, just out of curiosity). As I said before, the evidence suggest its going to be a new game. But you're free to think whatever you want.
Also, lets just no say that its guaranteed that Spike Chunsoft is developing it. They could, ofc as they're the classic devs, but the trailer visuals looked nothing like anything SC has developed recently, I'd say more similar to something from CC2 or even Arcsys. But even if SC was the dev, they could still pull out a nice game, afterall they're the ogs.
Also, come on DLC is not a Spike thing at all, its an industry standard now lol. An anime game or a Fighting game nowadays NEEDS a DLC system to stay afloat, thats just how it is. So yes, expect tons of DLC, honestly I'll be supporting no problem if the game is good.

"Reboot" is a term used in the industry to refer a new game, yes, but one that "reboots" a whole series, like re-starting. Thats why people dont say "reboot" it could lead to confusion, we say BT4 not only for the evidence that I said, but because it seems to be a NEXT installment: a game that takes everything done before and improves to bring out a new and, hopefully, better product.
Reboot is, again, used when you want to say start over (which, in ways, this game could be because its new gen, new models, etc etc etc, but thats, again less clear than to just say BT4).
I think you're not actually against pple using the term BT4, after all you said lmao, just want to use the tern reboot lol

If you forgot already, idk, as I told you, the Official DB site didnt mention AT ALL the other Tenkaichi games, like Raging Blast (which is not a surprise tbh...). So its clear, at least from all the info we have now, that they're deviating from the other games that are, to say it like that, not part of the main 3 Sparking games.
Again, dont say "its not". Theres literally NOTHING confirmed about it. Till there is confirmed information, we cant just say things like "oh Spike Chunsoft is developing", "oh its not a next installment". All the info we have, that I already commented, implies its the next installment and thats what we all are going for, but with the knowledge that its not certain/the final truth (as I've been saying since my first reply lol).

Did you know that tag team is the only (at he time that this comment was made) tenkaichi game with fusion timer, however since you can still pick a teammate after picking a fusion, the timer is only present when fusion mid battle, the fusion timer is 5 minutes, however, vegito does not have this because neither DBS existed nor the 1 hour time limit was not a thing yet
Bro this game is underrated as hell, it was one of the best fighting games done down onto the PSP, which means you can basically play a smaller version of BT3

if you hit charge + down + circle you can revive your teammate with 1 bar of health as long as your blue bar(don't know the term) has 5 charges. Would also love to see yall take a swing at the survival mode in this game. That would be sick

I think L2 + DOWN(left stick) + O with 5 of the Blue Bars will revive a partner whether you have Senzu Beans or not

One thing to note about Tenkaichi Tag Team: The inputs they tell you for struggles are a lie. Just mash the face buttons the way you would if it were Raging Blast.
You can revive your partner if your union meter (blue bar) is 5 levels charged. In order to revive your teammate you need to press L1 + Stick down + Circle
