JOSIAS IS VERY CLOSE TO rock bottom right now. One huge sign is that his circle has closed. No more people around him, no more girlfriends, etc. His grooming standards and health have changed considerably. His lack of grooming and personal hygiene is a sign of deteriorating mental health. Josias will NOT make it much longer in thess Atlanta streets. He's overly hyper, approaching random people, agitating police officers, running out in traffic. He can be assaulted by the people he's approaching, he could be hurt by the police, hit by a car, get a hold to some bad drugs or anything! These ATLANTA streets will eat him up! He’s not eating at all. He’s just piping it up. I’ve had a lot of family members who did the same thing but they came back to us. This young man had full on developed the fiend mentality. They will lie and manipulate and do anything for that high and it also will lead to violence occasionally

The moment you said “I’ll let you continue your night”, something in his eyes switched. Those demons took over once again and he was up and at it! You were actually touching at his spirit with that convo! Keep pushing marcus. Keep speaking to his spirit! He may present as if he’s not listening because when he’s connecting with his spirit he gets run down and quiet because it’s in a severe state of weariness. His true state of exhaustion comes out, but it’s healthy for him! But you see the moment he knew the real convo was over he popped up in a supernatural state, all of a sudden he got energy again. But it’s the bad kind of supernatural. Those demons give him a false sense of energy and they’re running him towards his death happily! He needs more heart to heart convos to ignite the energy of his spirit. I pray God does miraculous works in this young man. He needs miracles at this point and continued support from individuals like yourself! God bless!

Its pure rebellion. I know many people who get high to escape the responsibility of life and having to be accountable for your actions and choices. I did it from age 26 to 32. I was a crackhead and dope fiend.
Exactly. People are enabling him when they send money to him. He uses these money for drugs. He wants to do what he wants and not what he should be doing positive to get his life together. Cash App and Go Fund Me are these people new reality for not working and doing something worthwhile in society. They play the victim card all day long and people on social media are falling for it. It's like falling to a scammer. They need to face accountability and stop making excuses. A lot of people faces trauma and many things happened in their lives but they still managed to make good of their lives despite everything. How many prayers can people send up for these people who don't want to pray for themselves. They have to want the help.
He is not ready for help, that's why he keeps making up excuses not to return home. No one can get him help until he wants the opportunity to get better. As a social worker, I never knew the depths of "rock bottom" my clients would endure before chosing to live. These people litterally self destruct right in front of your eyes. 😢 Pray he finds the strength to face his trauma. Keep staying in his ear. Plant the seed of life and hope he wakes up.

His mom says she is sick. All he needs is some attention and money to continue acting a complete fool. AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT. I say don’t force Josias to reconnect with his parents. Each interaction seems like he feels the trauma more and more. The only help he needs is help from rehab and him working on himself and loving on his own self and then acceptance that things happened to him… and then the other like trying to reconnect with parents and others. Working on himself only and prayers should be his number 1 goal. I believe he can come up out if this! This is not the end for him❤

Fist comment I’ve come across that rings more than one 🔔 for me! 🛎 🔔🤛🏽 Though I’m not the follower to the channel that most are & I don’t know Josias’ “story.” I do know Atlanta’s story, though, better than most who say it’s their “home.” And there is help available, accessible, & even genuinely-extended in many cases. Within easy walking-distance of where Josias is being filmed, too. However, there is also a highly-socialized racial disparity that exists. And people classified Black &/or poor in that context seldom get the same degree of concern or consideration in an Area of Activity. As a native Atlantan, it is not an easy path to navigate whatsoever. Josias’ best chances of getting constructive help, in this particular cityscape, lie in the hands of skilled social services professionals-who may or may not be willing to extend themselves beyond basic intake decisions. He apparently needs an individual who is capable of walking him into a facility that provides comprehensive mental care. After Jimmy Carter’s initiatives were demolished, these facilities are now few & far in-between, underfunded, overburdened, & very likely to end up dissolved altogether. Grady Hospital is only one such facility. But its care management is outstanding, provided an individual is serious, is willing to wait, & is given the right information. Emory/Crawford Long Memorial, & Piedmont also provide outstanding services to the sick; but due to insurance coverage schedules (now privileges), their patients will probably be re-directed to Henry Grady at some point anyway. Though both are able to process emergency care at all locations, as is Midtown Clinic, which is still part of Crawford Long/Emory, but serves short-term needs. Much of long-term treatment depends greatly on transportation services. Grady Memorial provides the best social services care for indigent-income level patients. But their hours are from 9-5, 3-4 days of the week, so there’s that. Without oversight, many people referred to care just slip through the cracks in Atlanta. No official mandate exists yet that prevents this from happening, so it must benefit Someone or it would not occur at the rates that it does, logically deduced, in the specific areas that it does. Areas zoned, policed, & strictly-districted & kept understaffed & underfunded-for centuries-to “contain” these grossly obvious disparities & keep them under wraps when company comes to town. VERY concerned about how things “look” in Atlanta, rather than substance in all major Areas of Activity: Economics, Education, Entertainment, Labor, Law, Politics, RELIGION, SEX, & War/CounterWar. I wish Josias well, too. He may find NC-concept (away from his old neighborhood) to actually be a better choice, long-term. It’s not a good family plan to relocate to Atlanta without financial resources, education, & social networks of support you can trust to be honest & truthful. I’m just coming across this page and I can see that he’s had severe trauma in his life. He self medicated to mute his pain. When he heard it literally deflated his whole mood at it wasn’t just a buzz kill.

I know he has to want the help. I am praying as all mothers do for these young children. It just breaks my heart to see this. I have three children (25, 22, and 18), and GOD knows the enemy is busy with our young adults.
It’s always two sides to a story, you don’t know his mother from a can of paint to know that she’s telling truth. Josias is an adult that’s doing what he wants to do, his parents didn’t force him to return back to Atl to continue with drugs
Like I said before you’ve got to stop pushing these trauma bonds on him. He’s obviously been through traumatic experiences with his family. If he doesn’t get help to learn how to properly deal with and overcome these issues he will continue to self destruct. I say this from personal experience. I was lucky enough to be able to get the professional help I needed where I was guided through my trauma and with that I learned that cutting ties to these toxic relationships and looking towards my future was key. Josiah is a bright young man, just lost and seeking the love and affection he should’ve had growing up, that’s what the drugs do, they fill people void. Much prayers for him. And thank you Marcus for being a positive role model to these interviewees.

I love this young man as if he was my family, but unfortunately he’s too far gone. At this point the only thing anyone can do for him is just love and keep praying for him. Josia doesn’t want help…. The drugs got him.
Josias is full of b.s. All he does is deflect. I’ll never excuse someone’s trauma but he’s extremely manipulative. He relishes in the attention & plays on other’s emotions. I don’t understand how many can’t see through his feeble attempt of distracting from the real issue which is all within. How long can he blame his parents for his poor choices he continuously make? He deflects & brings up his health issues as soon as the convo gets “real”. He’s 21 now but in a blink of an eye he’ll be 31 still blaming his parents for his current situation. Accountability is missing as with each of his encounters when he presents bad behavior, it’s never his fault. He’ll never move forward if he’s constantly looking in the rear view. Marcus, those misguided women, so called street family, blood family or viewers can’t save him. Josias can only save himself when he’s ready. Until then cut the camera off because at this point it’s doing more harm than good.

It would still probably be a temporary fix...he needs therapy and mental health meds to heal from addiction. But the sad part is the mental health meds opens the door to a continuous cycle of drug abuse. I wish people would try natural herbs before those pills bc I think they alter a person's mental in a way that's not reversible although some people really need them. Atp he's one of those people if he's going to be successfully rehabilitated.
@@KB-zo7un I'm only speaking for the quickest way to forcibly make him detox and sober up. And no rehab works if the patient isn't tired of the life they're living. Side note: you damn near have to be rich to get high in jail and prison.

His parents need to take accountability for the things they've done wrong as well. Josias was failed by them and he really needs his parents to genuinely appologize to him and take responsibility and then work as a family to make things better! He is obviously so so hurt, his poor soul is broken. Honestly I belive most of what Josias says about his childhood, the drugs and abuse, because a person doesnt get this bad down and broken down without some serious trauma. @@trinadream5106it’s so easy to judge without knowing all the facts, I had a son with a guy whom was very intelligent whom had all sorts of degrees. I knew he was a heavy drinker & stability was an issue. I had no idea he was battling any form of mental illness nor did I understand the full scope of mental illness. Sadly my son developed his dad mental illness as a mother it breaks my heart as my son and his dad don’t believe they have any issues and if they don’t want help no one from a professional not even court can force them. To get mental help.
I believe Josias makes up the stories to rationalize the pain feels when he thinks about his childhood and his parents. And when he talks about how his body starts to hurt, and he feels cold, seems like symptoms of PTSD from talking about it. That’s why he’s able to go so happy to then looking so broken.

I have a brother like this who has so much potential but he has been Traumatized at an early age. Some people you just can’t help although you try. People like this have got to want a change in life.
I couldn’t sleep last night so I started watching UA-cam videos. The moment I saw Josiah on the thumbnail my heart sank. I have honestly been thinking about him every since. This young man needs help. He needs to be in a rehab facility before the streets take over. I personally know about childhood trauma and I feel his pain. The only way the pain will go away is if he seeks treatment from rehab and therapy simultaneously. I was fortunate enough to not get caught up with drugs but dealing with the pain and depression was exhausting. I went from laying pills out on my bed when I left for work every morning, vowing to take them all if things didn’t get any better, to mentoring youth who are dealing with trauma. I saw a therapist for years and still to this day I find myself making those appointments. I’m definitely not a doctor but just having someone to listen to you does a world of good. Several of the kids I spoke to did end up getting therapy and the help they needed. All of the deflecting he’s doing shows that whatever he’s dealing with is heavy and the drugs are not helping him at all. It numbs the pain for a minute but when that high comes down, he goes right back to it and it becomes a vicious cycle. I pray that someone sits him down and give him that hard talk and convinces him to get the help he so desperately needs. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Josias this breaks my heart man. I was once homeless too man and I tell you I had NOBODY there for me but a girlfriend, we slowly got Out together and obtained a normal life but it took us 5 years. We had no help from nobody and only her dad came down to check on us. You got all the ❤ in the world man. Take the help!!

That's what the mom was saying. She said she's tried to get him to come home but it's always I'm bringing my girlfriend or my friends with me. When she says no he gets mad.
The mother and father are the biggest contributors to a child's downfall. Josiah is so full of life and energetic. He could do gymnastics if he had guidance. Its so sad, parents in 2023. I see them here and there, just aggressive, angry, bitter and broken passing that down onto their off springs. Praying for Josiah. He's aged horribly in 2 weeks and it only goes down from here IF he does not get the help that he needs.
That’s because black women are so bitter and mad at the world because she chose a loser as a mate. They already know having babies by these young black males are not gonna keep them around, so they go and find another to do the same thing. Now the kids are getting cursed out l, and blamed for everything. Some white women go through this, but nowhere near as much as blacks.

There is no way his mom put an apartment in his name. In most states you have to be 18 to rent an apartment. An apartment lease is a binding contract and the person that’s signing it usually have to do so in person. You can put utilities in your child’s name but apartments no….

Marcus, when you first approach Josias he’s jovial, smiling and dancing until you get serious with him. Then he reacts, then avoids and looks for a way OUT of the conversation. I imagine he has SOOO much pain that he can’t even process those emotions. It’s just too painful for him. 😰 He needed his parents so badly 😰
Which is exactly why if you're not going to get them, no real help. He should be asking on top of questions. I know he's trying to help him but I kind of think that it's actually going against what he's trying to do in my opinion.

I really appreciate Marcus and being there for Josias but there’s a lot of truth in what you’re saying which is why they open all these type of wounds in inpatient care where they have professionals and are able to help him medically to handle his emotional pain. The only thing he can get on the streets to cure his pain is more drugs. 🙏🏽 I hope Marcus and his mother and father can convince him to go inpatient and really tackle this once and for all. He will still have to receive care for his mental health, but at least they can equipped him with the tools he needs to cope when he’s sober and to stay sober.
He is in a lot of pain and that's why Marcus needs to stop. It may be beneficial for one of two people but he's not qualified to have those deep conversations with those people. Opening those wounds are doing more harm than good. After he gets his footage he goes on and leave those people to deal with that stuff.

Josias is not ready to be helped. He's old enough to take control of his life if he wanted to. There are programs there for him, but he will not go because there are rules he has to follow and they require him to get clean.
Josias 🙏🏽 Lord please protect him. I know that a person has to want to change in order to change but Josias is still a young man whom is literally still in need of guidance. So young and vulnerable. He's not living in reality, he doesn't want to heal right now. It's sad that chooses to live this street life, rather than get clean. His mind is messed up, I pray he gets help for his mental state. I've seen this before in my nephew, but thank God his clean now!

Marcus I know your heart is in the right place but I don’t think you understand that sometimes families can’t be put back together and sometimes it’s for the BEST that they stay apart. You grew up in a two parent healthy household it sounds like so it may be difficult for you to imagine something other than that but please try to empathise with the nature of these people who come from sometimes permanently broken family structures so that you can refine your approach. Or put them in touch with a trained professional who has a deeper understanding of these psychological issues they have.

At this point Marcus, I think the fame from the interviews are doing more hurt than help for Josias. I hate for something bad or even deadly to happen to this kid, but by the way he's moving in the streets, it may be sooner than later. Encourage him to seek recovery, he doesn't look the same since last month.

No more people around him, no more girlfriends, etc. His grooming standards and health have changed considerably. His lack of grooming and personal hygiene is a sign of deteriorating mental health. The moment you said “I’ll let you continue your night”, something in his eyes switched. Those demons took over once again and he was up and at it! You were actually touching at his spirit with that convo! Keep pushing marcus. Keep speaking to his spirit! He may present as if he’s not listening because when he’s connecting with his spirit he gets run down and quiet because it’s in a severe state of weariness. His true state of exhaustion comes out, but it’s healthy for him! But you see the moment he knew the real convo was over he popped up in a supernatural state, all of a sudden he got energy again. But it’s the bad kind of supernatural. Those demons give him a false sense of energy and they’re running him towards his death happily! He needs more heart to heart convos to ignite the energy of his spirit. I pray God does miraculous works in this young man. Cash App and Go Fund Me are these people new reality for not working and doing something worthwhile in society. They play the victim card all day long and people on social media are falling for it. It's like falling to a scammer. They need to face accountability and stop making excuses. A lot of people faces trauma and many things happened in their lives but they still managed to make good of their lives despite everything. How many prayers can people send up for these people who don't want to pray for themselves. They have to want the help.
He is not ready for help, that's why he keeps making up excuses not to return home. No one can get him help until he wants the opportunity to get better. As a social worker, I never knew the depths of "rock bottom" my clients would endure before chosing to live. These people litterally self destruct right in front of your eyes. 😢 Pray he finds the strength to face his trauma. Keep staying in his ear. Plant the seed of life and hope he wakes up.

Though I’m not the follower to the channel that most are & I don’t know Josias’ “story.”
I do know Atlanta’s story, though, better than most who say it’s their “home.” And there is help available, accessible, & even genuinely-extended in many cases. Within easy walking-distance of where Josias is being filmed, too.
However, there is also a highly-socialized racial disparity that exists. And people classified Black &/or poor in that context seldom get the same degree of concern or consideration in an Area of Activity. As a native Atlantan, it is not an easy path to navigate whatsoever.
Josias’ best chances of getting constructive help, in this particular cityscape, lie in the hands of skilled social services professionals-who may or may not be willing to extend themselves beyond basic intake decisions.
He apparently needs an individual who is capable of walking him into a facility that provides comprehensive mental care. After Jimmy Carter’s initiatives were demolished, these facilities are now few & far in-between, underfunded, overburdened, & very likely to end up dissolved altogether. Grady Hospital is only one such facility. But its care management is outstanding, provided an individual is serious, is willing to wait, & is given the right information. Emory/Crawford Long Memorial, & Piedmont also provide outstanding services to the sick; but due to insurance coverage schedules (now privileges), their patients will probably be re-directed to Henry Grady at some point anyway. Though both are able to process emergency care at all locations, as is Midtown Clinic, which is still part of Crawford Long/Emory, but serves short-term needs.
Much of long-term treatment depends greatly on transportation services. Grady Memorial provides the best social services care for indigent-income level patients. But their hours are from 9-5, 3-4 days of the week, so there’s that.
Without oversight, many people referred to care just slip through the cracks in Atlanta. No official mandate exists yet that prevents this from happening, so it must benefit Someone or it would not occur at the rates that it does, logically deduced, in the specific areas that it does. Areas zoned, policed, & strictly-districted & kept understaffed & underfunded-for centuries-to “contain” these grossly obvious disparities & keep them under wraps when company comes to town.
VERY concerned about how things “look” in Atlanta, rather than substance in all major Areas of Activity: Economics, Education, Entertainment, Labor, Law, Politics, RELIGION, SEX, & War/CounterWar.
I wish Josias well, too. He may find NC-concept (away from his old neighborhood) to actually be a better choice, long-term. It’s not a good family plan to relocate to Atlanta without financial resources, education, & social networks of support you can trust to be honest & truthful.

Like I said before you’ve got to stop pushing these trauma bonds on him. He’s obviously been through traumatic experiences with his family. If he doesn’t get help to learn how to properly deal with and overcome these issues he will continue to self destruct. I say this from personal experience. I was lucky enough to be able to get the professional help I needed where I was guided through my trauma and with that I learned that cutting ties to these toxic relationships and looking towards my future was key. Josiah is a bright young man, just lost and seeking the love and affection he should’ve had growing up, that’s what the drugs do, they fill people void. Much prayers for him. And thank you Marcus for being a positive role model to these interviewees.

I don't wish jail on anyone, but Josias might need about 12-18 months just to sober up.
It would still probably be a temporary fix...he needs therapy and mental health meds to heal from addiction. But the sad part is the mental health meds opens the door to a continuous cycle of drug abuse. I wish people would try natural herbs before those pills bc I think they alter a person's mental in a way that's not reversible although some people really need them. Atp he's one of those people if he's going to be successfully rehabilitated.

I believe Josias makes up the stories to rationalize the pain feels when he thinks about his childhood and his parents. I couldn’t sleep last night so I started watching UA-cam videos. The moment I saw Josiah on the thumbnail my heart sank. I have honestly been thinking about him every since. This young man needs help. He needs to be in a rehab facility before the streets take over. I personally know about childhood trauma and I feel his pain. The only way the pain will go away is if he seeks treatment from rehab and therapy simultaneously. I was fortunate enough to not get caught up with drugs but dealing with the pain and depression was exhausting. I went from laying pills out on my bed when I left for work every morning, vowing to take them all if things didn’t get any better, to mentoring youth who are dealing with trauma. I saw a therapist for years and still to this day I find myself making those appointments. I’m definitely not a doctor but just having someone to listen to you does a world of good. Several of the kids I spoke to did end up getting therapy and the help they needed. All of the deflecting he’s doing shows that whatever he’s dealing with is heavy and the drugs are not helping him at all. It numbs the pain for a minute but when that high comes down, he goes right back to it and it becomes a vicious cycle. I pray that someone sits him down and give him that hard talk and convinces him to get the help he so desperately needs. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
When he found out it was his mom that was wanting to speak with him you could see the hurt in his eyes. I pray for you Josiah and the so many others that need help.

The mother and father are the biggest contributors to a child's downfall. Josiah is so full of life and energetic. He could do gymnastics if he had guidance. Its so sad, parents in 2023. I see them here and there, just aggressive, angry, bitter and broken passing that down onto their off springs. Praying for Josiah. He's aged horribly in 2 weeks and it only goes down from here IF he does not get the help that he needs.

There is no way his mom put an apartment in his name. In most states you have to be 18 to rent an apartment. An apartment lease is a binding contract and the person that’s signing it usually have to do so in person. You can put utilities in your child’s name but apartments no….

Marcus, when you first approach Josias he’s jovial, smiling and dancing until you get serious with him. Then he reacts, then avoids and looks for a way OUT of the conversation. I imagine he has SOOO much pain that he can’t even process those emotions. It’s just too painful for him. 😰

I really appreciate Marcus and being there for Josias but there’s a lot of truth in what you’re saying which is why they open all these type of wounds in inpatient care where they have professionals and are able to help him medically to handle his emotional pain. The only thing he can get on the streets to cure his pain is more drugs. 🙏🏽 I hope Marcus and his mother and father can convince him to go inpatient and really tackle this once and for all. He will still have to receive care for his mental health, but at least they can equipped him with the tools he needs to cope when he’s sober and to stay sober.
He is in a lot of pain and that's why Marcus needs to stop. It may be beneficial for one of two people but he's not qualified to have those deep conversations with those people. Opening those wounds are doing more harm than good. After he gets his footage he goes on and leave those people to deal with that stuff.

Josias is not ready to be helped. He's old enough to take control of his life if he wanted to. There are programs there for him, but he will not go because there are rules he has to follow and they require him to get clean.

Marcus I know your heart is in the right place but I don’t think you understand that sometimes families can’t be put back together and sometimes it’s for the BEST that they stay apart. You grew up in a two parent healthy household it sounds like so it may be difficult for you to imagine something other than that but please try to empathise with the nature of these people who come from sometimes permanently broken family structures so that you can refine your approach. Or put them in touch with a trained professional who has a deeper understanding of these psychological issues they have.

This is gut wrenching, the fact that his mother will not own her trauma in which she he cause , he will most likely never want a relationship with her. She need to Forgive herself and not validate his feelings.
