유라시아 그 미래와의 만남
글로벌 웹으로 연결되는 지금의 세계는 나라 간의 국경이 허물어지고
지구 반대편의 삶과 이슈들이 실시간으로 우리의 일상을 가득 메우고
그 정보의 양 또한 방대하다.
그야말로 모든 길이 디지털로 통한다고해도 과언이 아니다.
세계 유일의 분단국가이자
서울에서 부산까지 400 여km의 이 작은 땅에서
5천만의 인구가 앞다투어 경쟁한다.
우린 시선을 돌려 여기보다 더욱 넓은 곳을 바라보며
마치 ‘고립된 섬’과 같은 지형적 한계에서 벗어나야 한다.
지금보다 더 다양한 기회들과 균형 잡힌 삶을 살기 위해서 말이다.
다행히도 그 해답은 결코 먼 곳에 있질 않다.
우리 한반도와 국경을 맞대고 있으며 45억의 인구, 세계 육지의 40%를 차지하고 있는 곳.
막대한 지하 자원과 정치, 사회, 문화 등 다방면의 분야에서
개발과 활용이 일직선상에서 공존하는
무한한 잠재적 가능성을 내재하고 있는 곳.
바로 유라시아다.
세계 각국은 저마다 유라시아 시대를 준비하고 있다.
우리에게 곧 다가올 미래라고 해도 부족함이 없다.

‘만들다 가다 보다 유라시아’ 강연 을 준비했습니다.
부디 저마다 정해놓은 관념의 틀에서 벗어나 보다 너른 사고의 확장을 기대해 봅니다.

Jacques Attali, who is the most famous economist in France, said that ‘Nomadic life' has remained throughout the history of human beings and is the universal mode of human life. He insists people in the future will also move from one space to another to maintain their life like people in the past and at the same time they will continue the settlers' life. He calls these nomadic settlers ‘Trans Human’. It will be the common style of living for mankind in the future. I motorcycled the Eurasian continents running along the Asian Highway 6. I started my first journey toward the Eurasian continent with the ambition and the passion of youth in 1996 and visited there again in 2014, 2017, 2019, 2023. I have seen the changes and the flow of the market economy during those two periods. I think Korea needs a new idea and vision for the 21st century like the movement of nomads invented and that made this civilization possible. I believe imagination will create and present a suitable futuristic vision for Korea. It is possible to make it real by combining the developed technological civilization at present and foreign culture, which is the reflection of one's spirit and imagination. Korea needs a new gathering to design a new culture and futuristic vision now. There are huge natural resources and approximately 68 billion people on the Eurasian continent including Russia, which is positioned in the center of the continent. There should be a gathering with the Eurasian continent and our neighbor countries, which may feel like faraway countries because of the reality of our national division. I would like to share a story about encounters on the road and the changes that I have observed.
