Hi Nicki, I would like to take a moment to say a most heartfelt thank you. I would also like to say your homes are beautiful because they reflect all the passions, hopes and dreams your family has. I found your channel in 2021. I had been 4 months in hospital with very serious sepsis that has changed my life forever. I spent the first month on life support in ICU and 5 times the doctors called my son and my parents to tell them I wasn't going to survive the night. I eventually came home to a 24-hour round-the-clock care package because I couldn't even sit up without a hoist. After 5 months of that, and gradually getting a tiny bit stronger, I'd had enough of waiting for NHS physiotherapy, and I taught myself to sit up first of all, then to stand up and then I could manage a few steps. It was during the long months of being confined to my bed that I discovered your channel. I came to southern italy when i was a teenager and my heart was utterly lost, to the amazing friendly people first, then the culture and food, then everything else. When I discovered your channel during my darkest days, I could live vicariously through your lovely family and for a while I could imagine I was in beautiful Italy once more. I now have to use a powered wheelchair due to post-sepsis syndrome and a painfully degenerating serious spinal injury I sustained over 20 years ago, and because of that i fear that a lot of amalfi will be inaccessible to me now, which is why i love your videos so very much. Ignore the naysayers nikki...especially if they are crass enough to be rude! Your eclectic style is just wonderful. Much love Nikki, Carlo, Skye, Nickola, Holly & Indy ❤

Apt title! A car bogged in the mud down a country path, 2 tractors, Carlo face planting in the mud, a deer being chase by the dogs. Love the realness they bring. Sharing family and friends with subscribers. The reno is wonderful to watch evolve. It is so nice to see them have their own home that belongs to them. Positano is amazing but it is a home they are custodians of and will be multi generational housing, which is something Carlo can forever be proud of creating. I so enjoy watching their story and also Carlo's very obvious love for his talented wife :)
Nicki here are some genuine words from me. I love your two homes! I love your color palette! I love how you are shopping in thrift shops to give new life to the furniture and curtains. It’s a sustainable approach. You and Carlo..along with Skye, Indie and Holly bring tremendous joy to us all. Love your videos! ❤❤❤
Holly and Carlo have such a wonderful relationship, so happy he’s home and glad his father is doing better. And as you said, there is no need for rudeness, ever.
I don’t care what u do to ur house. I am very thankful u share ur life with us. It’s fun to tag along with u guys on Sundays. And I hope I continue to share regardless of the rude comments. Much ❤ from TN
From my experiences in Italy vs where I live in NYC, I have found and seen that older people in Italy are not treated quite as dismissively there as many are treated here in the states (obviously, not everyone treats older people dismissively but I do see it here and I have never, in my many trips over the past few decades in Italy, seen it there).
Nicki/Carlo, some people are so rude and have nothing better to do with their time. It is your home and you should continue doing what you want to do with your home and decor xx welcome back Carlo, no more 4x4 in wet conditions though 😂😂
@@karentozer1871 I don't think you meant for your comment to be replying to mine. They're more likely to see it if it's in the main comments section. 🙂
Buona Domenica Cara Nikki, it would never occur to me to criticize your decisions in your house, which you are turning into a home. People should get a life, and mind their own bloody business. Sending fond greetings from NYC 🗽 Alla prossima.
When you were pushing the sofa up the stairs, I thought of my favorite Friends episode when Ross, Chandler and Rachel were trying to get their sofa up to the apartment. Pivot! Pivot! Pivot! 😂😂😂
I’m so sorry to hear people are being rude. You’ve been kind enough to share parts of your life with us, some people feel that they actually know you. new tires for the truck? mine came with street tires after being stuck where i live in the woods I bought on road/off road tires. did affect the mpg's but haven't been stuck since. once had slid off down into the woods and thank goodness we had a tractor to pull in out. that was the last time. No fun.

Thank you so much for these weekly visits we get to enjoy with our Italian extended family. I love seeing what you all are up to. I know loads of work and stress go into putting these together and I wanted to say how much I really appreciate all you do to share your adventures with us❤.
We LOVE seeing Holly and Indie take over the furniture. Enjoy your time with them. We said goodbye to our 14 year old rescue pup recently and it warms our hearts to see the love you share with the dogs and all animals. grazie mille

Thank you for taking the leap of faith to share your life on UA-cam. I apologize to you for all of humanity who forget their manners. No one deserves that. I truly enjoy watching you transform your spaces.
The house is looking wonderful; warm and cozy - especially with that lovely fireplace in the corner of the kitchen. That beautiful green sofa just complements all the colors of nature right outside your windows. So glad Carlo got back home safely.
I'm sure it's difficult but please ignore the ugly trolls - they don't speak for all of us. I appreciate you generously opening your home to us! Saying anything against someone's home is insulting at best. Who would walk into someone's home and begin criticizing their choices - definitely not a friend. I like what you've done. You and Carlos have put in tons of work and you've taken risks to get this far, and I applaud you! Thank you for opening your home to the world!! Many times while watching your videos I notice and appreciate your authenticity. Ugly people spew ugly wherever they go.
I'm so sorry people are rude. Remember, when someone takes the time to make a rude comment, it's more a reflection of their views and feelings of themselves and not of you. Thank you for sharing your life with us. You are such good people, and I'm happy to "know" you. ❤
Poor Carlo! My heart went out to you when I saw what happened to your car and the great effort it took to get it out of the mud. Thank goodness for your nice neighbors! Nicki, you have an eye for style, your home is pulling together nicely. Please keep in mind that there's a lot of people who adore you and respect your choices. There's always going to be individuals who will be rude , ignore them . Thank you for another lovely video, sending much love your way and big hugs!!!
You’re finding such lovely items at the shops. Things are already coming together so homey and cute. Love when the pups jumped on their dad when he returned, so sweet.
I absolutely love the living room without the banister. The clean straight edges of the sofa really provides the vision that you had for the space without the banister! Either way, it is your space and I am so glad you all are enjoying it through the challenges and the beautiful moments!
I had to stop in the middle of the video because I'm heartbroken at how many of the UA-camrs I know who share their life with us so generously and there are those who are so critical. It is like they think they own your life you are such a kind and wonderful family and I appreciate you
Carlo brought back the adrenaline to Tuscany 😂, Nicky since you started saying "not my cat" , that's what I tell myself now, not my house, not my kids etc . I love that you share your life with us and I wish I was that talented to do all the things you do.
Ive been watching you struggle with sofa placements, incorporating the stairs also. I suggest swapping the table out, so sofas can go in that corner, and the table sit next to the stairs, and under that cute window…
I thought the same thing because of the heater on the wall, and also I don’t know how big the center of the kitchen is, but that table deserves to be the center piece, is beautiful
Lots of lessons learned. This is life. You paid. So sorry people were so rude. Banisters can always go back up it is your house. I do beg you to leash your dogs. No judgment, 3 separate friends had heart breaking endings in such similar situations. One was also fined for their pain. If your dog even hesitates in their responses please leash them. You don’t want this sort of lesson it is clear how much you love these babies. THANK YOU FOR EXPLAINING THE VEHICLE differences❣️❣️❣️❣️I live in Texas in the US. Absolutely NO context until you explained and taught me about your home. Now makes total sense. Context and perspective. Again so sorry people were so unkind. So very glad about Carlos’s Father. So glad the dog drama ended well and the car also ended well. It seems no matter what part of the world you live in, good neighbors are a precious Blessing. Tape out the dimensions he suggests, hold your ground if you need too….bossy boots out❣️❣️ Love love your channel. Love from Cathey in Texas🇺🇸❤️
When Carlos mentioned a 4X4 I thought he was looking for a tractor or dune buggy type of vehicle just for the Farm/land and was surprised to see that you purchased more of a town care with 4X4 options. It did work out since he was out of town and you needed a street approved vehicle to get around and make purchases. Looks like you'll be looking for something a bit more tractor like for the off road adventures in the future. He's such a good soul and it looks like you've got some great neighbors near by that have already taken you guys in as part of the community. Always a blessing.
Nicki, if just one person would look up the poem by Edgar A Guest “Have you earned your tomorrow” Beautiful words to live by.! Perfect for your situation and so many on UA-cam. You and your family and home and dogs are beautiful. Be at peace and know you are all loved from far away❤

It is your house, you do what you want. You have worked so hard in such a short space of time. I think you have both transformed what was a shell into a lovely home. I’m really enjoying the trips out and see what treasures you are bringing back.
Can I suggest moving the dining table in the middle of the room, near the kitchen…could double as an island. You could then move the sofa down a bit and have more room in the living room.
You are doing an amazing job with your new home & my comments come only as a suggestion as I’ve been a professional Interior Designer for 45 years, so please know you need to follow your gut…it is your home to make your own!
Appreciating my “ Vloggers” like Nicki, who I love to watch and deeply love they are sharing their lives - vulnerable and transparent. We all have different styles and likes. YOU ARE AMAZING NICKI. BRAVA
Love the sofa! It looks like the color is a deep green, but whatever color, it fits so well into your home. As much as I like Positano, your house in Tuscany with its view is equally as spectacular. I look forward on Sundays to sitting down with a cup of tea and see what adventures Nicki and Carlo are up to now!
Removing the banister was incredibly brave. The result is stunning. Loving the kitchen sitting area - that sofa with low square arms, rug and tons of pillows is to die for. You and Carlo and Skye (with friends!) are creating a beautiful, peaceful home in record time and on a budget too! So inspirational. Thank you Nicki for sharing! Such nice neighbors - looked like they loved bonding through Carlo's (mis) adventure!!
It’s your family home! Anyone saying anything negative or rude is unacceptable. No matter how much you share it’s your home. Your channel was one of my bright lights during Covid so thank you. Hugs!
Glad to see Carlo survived his mud wallow. When I moved to the country years ago I asked an old guy at the feed store if he had any advice. I was meaning about goats and hens as that was what I was buying for. He told me in a contest between mud and anything else... mud always wins. I never get into it with mud , wait till it dries.
Thanks for reminding people to be kind with words, especially when disagreeing and expressing opinions. Sometimes people forget that you are real people living in a real world with real feelings. Some people seem to think that expressing opinions on social media gives them permission to say what they like... no matter how hurtful. Then we wonder why social media contributes to mental health issues. Nothing wrong with being honest... just don't forget to be kind and gentle too! Love you folks.
How awesome that Carlo agrees with the rest of us…Your decorating changes are beautiful. Making a comfortable environment takes time. Thank you for taking us along on your journey.
Love the new sofa and cushions. The throw blanket ties everything together beautifully. Good thing the neighbours had the ability to help haul the car out of the mud. Poor Carlo, he really was kicking himself for getting himself into that predicament but that sort of stuff happens to everyone at some time or another. Even though he liked the bannister I thought it was so special that he said he was OK with its removal since that was what you wanted - shows how much he loves you.
I've always believed that you should do whatever YOU want! It's your house..your colours..your life! I could hear the distain in Carlos' voice about the railing..too funny! So happy you're all together again. Being stuck in the mud reminds me of an I Love Lucy episode! Thanks for the laughs ❤️🍁👏

I am loving the Tuscany videos of the new house renovations and decorations. I love what you’re doing. Looks so comfortable and homey. The dogs really do love your new sofa! So cute!
20:49 Don't get too down on yourself Carlo! We call it 'getting bogged' in Australia. It's a very common occurrence in driving on sand beaches and bush tracks here. You might want to look into a product we have called 'recovery tracks'/'recovery boards', which are heavy duty plastic boards with tread patterns used for getting out of bogs. You place them just underneath your wheels to give them something to grip onto instead of slipping on the mud.
It is amazing watching the slow transformation of this house into your home. I love everything you have done and do not even pay attention to the negative comments. ❤❤

I know it must sting but it’s your taste, your home and dream. Keep doing you and enjoy making that house YOUR home. 🏡 🤗💞
I love your curtains, sofa, cushions, the dining chairs, the rug. It all looks lovely. Glad the neighbors could come to the rescue to get the car out. Guys love a good project like that!
Beautiful choice in couches. Color & style. May I suggest switching it out with the long table. Put the table & chairs under the window & heater. The couch can be placed along the front wall. Lamp in the corner & arm chair on side wall. Cozier. Will look less chopped up.

The beauty of it that the neighbors gather to help and some how is like spending time together ❤️. Blessings to the whole family and everyone else 🙏🏻.
I don’t care what u do to ur house. I am very thankful u share ur life with us. It’s fun to tag along with u guys on Sundays. And I hope I continue to share regardless of the rude comments. Much ❤ from TN
The family, the dogs, the friends, the house, the pivot moment , Carlos adventures... what a lovely and fun vídeo to watch...Thank you Nicki.
What an adventure… It is great when neighbors help each other. We need more kindness right now in the world. All is well!
I bet the neighbor was so happy to be able to help! It's so nice to feel valuable at that age when people mostly count you out.
@@poponachtschnecke oops oh well never mind 😂😂
Buona Domenica Cara Nikki, it would never occur to me to criticize your decisions in your house, which you are turning into a home. People should get a life, and mind their own bloody business. Sending fond greetings from NYC 🗽 Alla prossima.
When you were pushing the sofa up the stairs, I thought of my favorite Friends episode when Ross, Chandler and Rachel were trying to get their sofa up to the apartment. Pivot! Pivot! Pivot! 😂😂😂
Seeing Carlo and the dogs reunite was so sweet 🥹
I’m so sorry to hear people are being rude. You’ve been kind enough to share parts of your life with us, some people feel that they actually know you. I love what you have done with the house - I spend a lot of time in Tuscany and it is fitting with the environment and your personalities. Look forward to seeing more x
Tip for Carlos…instead of using sheets and digging out, try using your car mats! It works for snow and mud in the US. 😊
new tires for the truck? mine came with street tires after being stuck where i live in the woods I bought on road/off road tires. did affect the mpg's but haven't been stuck since. once had slid off down into the woods and thank goodness we had a tractor to pull in out. that was the last time. No fun.
Cat litter instead!
The house in Tuscany is lovely & I think the renos are wonderful. I love the fact that you are immersing yourselves into the Tuscan culture. More importantly, remember the home is for you, Carlo & Skye. It needs to be what you want it. Thank you for taking us along for the ride!
Holly looks so cozy in her little bed by your bed.
Poor Holly on the sofa nice and cozy gets pushed around.. she’s getting older and tired.. she derseves her place!!! 🐾🐾☕️✝️
The car stuck in the mud drama was hilarious 😂 Love that everyone came to help!
You have so good neighbors😊. Its so nice how they come to help Carlo's monstrous car 😅
I’m dying at the cinematic rescue music when the truck is finally pulled out. Whoever chose that is a legend!! It’s like a throwback to the big chase at the end of ET! ❤❤❤😂
Thank God for good neighbors! What a day. Glad Carlo is okay! Be careful! ❤
Thank you for taking the leap of faith to share your life on UA-cam. I apologize to you for all of humanity who forget their manners. No one deserves that. I truly enjoy watching you transform your spaces.
I love it! Carlo and the neighbors will always have an adventure to laugh and banter about. ❤
The house is looking wonderful; warm and cozy - especially with that lovely fireplace in the corner of the kitchen. That beautiful green sofa just complements all the colors of nature right outside your windows. So glad Carlo got back home safely.
Ignore the nay sayers! I love your decorating. It's easy to buy new but finding just exactly what you're looking for, refurbished is special ❤🌻
I love Celine. I see her as an adventurous, playfully rebellious, and a kind loving friend we all should have.
Its your house Nikki, do what ever u want! Big hugs from sunny Malaysia! ❤
She was rude for not telling her husband she had intention of removing the banisters. Entitled much.
For the record 😂❤Im just appreciative to see you all. Wonderful people huggggggggggggs
You’re finding such lovely items at the shops. Things are already coming together so homey and cute. Love when the pups jumped on their dad when he returned, so sweet.
What a nice man your neighbor is to pull Carlo out!! The house is coming along so beautifully. Prayers for Carlos Dad.🏠
I absolutely love the living room without the banister. The clean straight edges of the sofa really provides the vision that you had for the space without the banister! Either way, it is your space and I am so glad you all are enjoying it through the challenges and the beautiful moments!
Celine is such a good person, such help . So easy to strain something as you get older
Disastrous for Carlo but fun for us! Things happen when you DO things!! Glad all of you are reunited; life is rich!!
I had to stop in the middle of the video because I'm heartbroken at how many of the UA-camrs I know who share their life with us so generously and there are those who are so critical. It is like they think they own your life you are such a kind and wonderful family and I appreciate you
The banister would be beautiful painted black just a thought 😊
Carlo brought back the adrenaline to Tuscany 😂, Nicky since you started saying "not my cat" , that's what I tell myself now, not my house, not my kids etc . I love that you share your life with us and I wish I was that talented to do all the things you do.
Well said!
This is exactly what I thought. In America we use ATV(all terrain vehicles) for zooming around our acreage.
I thought it was a 4×4 pu. Truck..but it's ok it's what is suitable luv
Carlo not Carlos Carlos is spanish not Italian
Nicki, if just one person would look up the poem by Edgar A Guest “Have you earned your tomorrow”
Beautiful words to live by.! Perfect for your situation and so many on UA-cam. You and your family and home and dogs are beautiful. Be at peace and know you are all loved from far away❤
Beautiful poem, I just looked it up Thank you !
P.s I’ve earned my tomorrow 😊
From USA from Mississippi..
I'm 84 love love Italy love what you're doing to your new house.
It's adorable like you're family..I enjoy your videos
Blessings to all.
Poor Carlo! I know you are happy your family is all together. I think you are doing a beautiful job decorating. Love watching your progress.
I thought that too!
Carlo is so nice and kind person.I’m sure he would already understand what it is like to be far away from a patent even if you didn’t move to Tuscany
Appreciating my “ Vloggers” like Nicki, who I love to watch and deeply love they are sharing their lives - vulnerable and transparent. We all have different styles and likes. YOU ARE AMAZING NICKI. BRAVA
Those people judging you, must remember that other's reading their comments are judging them back big time! Love, love, love your channel!
Look forward every week to see the changes ❤
Love the sofa! It looks like the color is a deep green, but whatever color, it fits so well into your home. As much as I like Positano, your house in Tuscany with its view is equally as spectacular. I look forward on Sundays to sitting down with a cup of tea and see what adventures Nicki and Carlo are up to now!
This was highly entertaining and fun! That little table and two chairs is adorable!
I'm so glad your dad is doing better, Carlos. We sure have missed you. You always make us laugh. Your new home is really taking shape now.
I think it was incredibly stupid.
What a welcome home for Carlo! He will never forget the mud incident! Your home is coming along nicely. Can't wait to see the finished kitchen!
Carlo liked the banister which was moved in his absence.
So glad the car was able to be rescued, what good neighbours you have. Your new sofa is beautiful and doggies think so too.
Nicki, I found your conversation about being far from your family resonated so much. ❤
Bravo Carlo! You and your neighbors work well together!
I think your house is looking beautiful, Nicki, as you have very good taste!
I loved the partial banister removal. It really opened the space up. Your home is looking amazing. The color and texture choices y'all decided on are so natural and warm. Simply lovely, Great job Ladies and Carlo
Totally agree with what you are saying , this your home 🏠 you do what you want , your Tuscany home is looking so beautiful , love watching what you are doing to it xx
Not laughing at you but with you at all the new adventures and learning experiences. Thank god for good neighbors. 😁😁
I love watching what you are creating at your beautiful new home. Thank you for sharing your experiences & joy for life!
Renovate and decorate how YOU want it to be. It is YOUR home, and your heart. It looks homey and lovely! What a return adventure for Carlo - and everyone else... LOL
Ciao from Santa Fe, New Mexico! Every Sunday I make a big bowl of pasta 🍝 and watch your adventures in Positano and now Tuscany.
I am loving the Tuscany videos of the new house renovations and decorations. I love what you’re doing. Looks so comfortable and homey.
The dogs really do love your new sofa! So cute!
I thank you and Carlo for providing an escape for me from the Stress of LA. I love the way your house is coming along. It has such a cozy warm look.
Rudeness is unacceptable to me in real life and online.
You guys are doing a great job! ❤️
That table and chairs is a lovely little set, and in fantastic condition. Good buy.
Classic Carlo! The home is looking so cosy and beautiful ! LOVE it all.
Quite the lesson in learning what you can and cannot do on the land when it rains. Great job everyone! It helps to make friends with your neighbors. Love it! Nicki, don’t listen to the critics.
I LOVE decorating…..and it's fun to watch people create and make their house a home. It's so unique to the person. Thanks, I'm enjoying you sharing your journey!
