Sir u didn't give the reason why 1cm=1m. Actually it came from tacheometric surveying. Horizontal distance D=(f/i)xs+(f+d) where s is the staff intercept (f/i) is the multiplying constant which is taken as 100 and (f+d) is the additive constant which is taken as 0. So from the problem u have shown here Horizontal distance will be D= 0.36x100+0=36m.
