Slanty i think you're missing the point It's not about self defense tactics. It's about learning how human mind and body works. For example: you're walking in a dim corridor. You can see but not clearly and far. You encounter an obstacle hanging from a roof. You see it a just a glimpse before you run in to it. I bet you flinge, duck, dodge or whatever to avoid an obstacle catching you off guard. Same here. You're not supposed to stop a person waving your hand like a jedi but you might be able to use the knowledge from this lesson in a real situation making the attackers body and mind react in such way beneficial for you
