For the money & the competition of the era, these were about the best value. Not the best car, but value for money, light , strong. Cars had to be able to handle bad gravel roads , be owner friendly . Model A could out accelerate & give much longer service life then most other cars of late '20s & early '30s.
How many cars of the 50's are around in quantity as the MODEL "A S"? World wide there are about 200,000 still derivable, not bad for a car built 93 years ago. Best car ever made.
People say other cars were better. But where are they? There are still a lot of A's around. I am biased though because I own one. Despite it's short falls it is fun to drive and still affordable to own.
BTW Enzo, did you hear the back story on why the model A was made? Well the story I watched was that Henry's son Edsel as an engineer, designed the A and Mr. Ford didn't want to hear any of it. He thought that the T was all that anyone needed. Mrs. Ford told him, "Henry, if you don't build this car, that your son designed, I'll leave you. you old goat!" Well, we all know how that went. during those days Enzo, there weren't a lot of "highways". The modern interstate highway system hadn't been built yet. Not till the mid 50's. So the T didn't need to go at higher speeds. A lot of roads were still dirt and were a mess after a rain storm.
Yes. Igaz történet. Az öreg Ford állítólag nem sokra tartotta a fiát. Az öreg képtelen volt a változásra. Titokban tervezték a új modellt . Akkora már minden autógyár új kocsikkal állt elő.
These cars were marketed and sold, to the common man. That meant simple because simple is more affordable and simpler & easier to maintain. If Ford Motor Company built cars today that are as to-the-point and as simple and no-frills as a Model A, they'd be MUCH more affordable.
Of course Enzo, if you don't mind not having heat in the winter or roll up windows in the doors or the high end sound system or evern a passenger side windshield wiper, then, I guess you're right. Now if you really want to go faster on the road, a two speed rear end ( A Michel, two speed drive) will help.
It is nice having all those luxury things but there is something refreshing about seeing a car that Dosnt need the engine taken out to change the spark plugs

That’s a cool story
Enzo, don't forget that spring is on the way. Joining a model A car club near you. You'll get ideas and tips on care and maintenance.@@enzomarin0

I've had one for 62 years, it's just the best!
That’s awesome
You really should follow this up with a Model T! You'll appreciate the A more. I have both. They are fun cars!
We have needs a little work i will do that

Watching from Seguin Texas. I own a 29 A Pick Up and a Model T Sedan. Model A was a great achievment
Very cool
They most certainly do have shocks. It's a weird rotary type, but they are they and they work.
You are correct my mistake
From all Ford's the one i like most Is the model A, the second Is model T.
Model a great car 32 is also a good year
Now go find an original Ford Model T and learn how to drive the 3 pedal transmission.
I have one here I’ll have to learn soon
Make sure to leave time for the enjoyable noises.
Will do
Handles better then the Lamborghini I drove, by far; but that Lambo was a tractor.
Haha very true
😊 i personally like my 1964 Ford f250.
My first truck was a ford F1 (1950) that I drove in high school in 63.
Wonderful cars but they have their weak points.which must be watched.
True
It's the simplest car ever. To start it just do these 13 things....
It’s pretty simple, if it’s tuned we’ll you just hit the key
Do you have Italian origins?
Yes no one lives there currently but yes I’m Italian
@@enzomarin0 Very cool! Greetings to you and congratulation for this fantastic car that I love so much.
@@MarcoParisi9804 thank you so much

Actually they do have shocks, they are lever arm shocks. The Midel A we drove in highschool would do 50mph.
