Run at a pace that is steady with your horse. If he has a longer stride and you cant keep up try to slow him down. Usually a little bit of an extended western jog is preferred. The people who run funny usually get docked for it too. But you are running on sand so it is a little more difficult. Wear comfy boots for standing for long periods of times.
it's very clean. clip any hair on the face (ears, jawline, nose) pull the mane. band it if it's a big show. do exactly as the pattern says. no cantering LOL. fast spins are nice if they are correct. good luck!
I am wanting to do showmanship and I want to know how to groom. Do you shave the basic spots? Bridle path? Do you pull the mane? do you like long flowing tails or does it matter? Do you like log manes or do you like them pulled so you can see the neck? Could I make the pattern more fun for the judges if I teach my horse a slow cater instead of a trot (I think that would be fun!) do you like slow spins or fast spins? Thank you! :) I have never done ay of this before
