Great day. Watched this from the Derbyshire CCC changing room. Fantastic ❤🔥
One of the great Lords finals. I don't think the game could have finished any later then it did.
Imagine a major sporting final being sponsored by a cigarette manufacturer these days. Always loved Kim Barnett too, bald with a stache, great look for a professional athlete.

So 32 after 12 is "threatening to get away with it", this is from 27 off 9!
I'd be willing to bet that the average opening stand in the first innings of these finals is under 10.
Now then! Never seen this.
Given the number of runs scored there, why do you almost never see a third man in place?

Well that's why Lancashire lost, Atherton took 111 balls to get to 54. He took 34% of the balls available to score only 20% of the runs needed!
Good grief! 50+ off the last 5, in 1993!
