Hello...My name is Ritik i am from India but working in Kenya🇰🇪 i would like to share my experience with you.
Great video. I'm 58 years old & from Kenya 🇰🇪 . Great you mentioned Manu Dibango. His 1972 smash hit, Soul Makossa, is my favourite African hit of all time... and Roger Milla? Only one greater soccer player than him - Pele.
Thanks so much for watching!
Enjoyed the music very much. Fantastic

Correction: Cameroon is not the only country in Africa where both English and French are spoken. English and French are also spoken in Mauritius and the Seychelles which are geopolitically located in Africa despite being two islands off the coast of East Africa. About bilingualism, Cameroon is not really a bilingual country. It is a French-speaking country where English is relegated to secondary importance and spoken by very few French-speaking cameroonians. In fact, the minority English -speaking Cameroonians have always been marginalized and subjected to assimilation by their French-speaking counterparts, which explains the ongoing Anglophone crisis and war in the divided country of cameroon which does not deserve the so-called "continent" or "Africa in miniature" nicknames because it is not. In reality, cameroon is a dictatorship ruled by the same president paul biya for over 40 years now.
Thanks for watching! Cameroon two official languages are French and English. Key word “official”. Thanks for the information about Mauritius. Cameroon is bilingual. It doesn’t mean everyone speaks both.
Africa in miniature is because it does have all the features of the continent. You can disagree but it doesn’t change the fact that’s the case 😆.
The anglophone crisis is with the government due to other issues i won’t get in here. Marginalized ? You don’t even know what you are talking about 😆… The reasoning you provided is false. What’s your beef with Cameroon anyways? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Where are from anyways? Let me know 👀
@@TuneinR 😂 what makes it controversial
@@TuneinR in confused. Who k*lled people
On May 20th?
@@TuneinR I didn’t know that. Still, My video is about celebrating the country. I purposely did everything not to get into politics.
Cameroon is definitely a bilingual country. I see you are probably not from there and probably spent your time on Google. Just like in Canada, not everyone speaks both languages perfectly. In all Cameroon the schools have both English & French sections & u can choose w language to study in. If you choose French only you still have English as a language class & if French you still have English. If u don't want to that's your choice too. Africa in miniature is because of the landscape w is a reflection of all Africa from desert to savannahs to rainforest etc. Politics is politics. Yes there are issues but so do many other countries. The negative energy is not needed. This was a positive video, not everything has to be about problems. This from someone originating from the "Anglophone "section.
