Just returned from Butlins Bognor Regis yesterday, it was a perfect 4 night 5 day trip for our 2 year old. He loved every minute of it. The Peppa and Thomas shows were really good for him and they had several rides perfect for him being just 90cm. The pool was really nice and my husband and I got to do all the slides each time during both of our 1.5 hour sessions. The food choices we're really good but we didn't have a dine around or buffet plan so it was hard for us to get a dinner place unless we went to dinner very early, but the town is only a quick 10 minute walk to give you tons more food options. We had no trouble using the food app or the booking app, both worked very well and during the shows once my order was placed, the order arrived within 3-5 minutes. I agree that the fair rides should go at least until 6 and then maybe a couple circus style performers would be nice.
The arcade ticket line was long, my husband and I said they should go to an Argos style system, where people can pick out their items and have the bags ready for pickup at the desk. It could all be done on the app. The desk would only have to scan in the ticket bar codes for verification of accuracy.

Honestly you should email them with the arcade ticket idea that would be so much better!! I mean we had fun winning them but hopefully next time we go a system like you suggested will be in place 🤞

Ive been binge watching ur butlins minehead videos bc im going on the 23rd of august and very excited!!
The last time i went to butlins was about 12 years ago. I would love to go to butlins since at the moment foreign travel is hard and I would like to see whats changed. Ive been eyeing up the live music weekends and the prices arnt bad. I saw for the 00’s weekend in mine head for a sliver room for three nights with a premium dining plan and entertainment included for about 200 quid. It would also be nice to see you make a vlog about the food at butlins. Did you have a dining plan or did you make your own food?
I wished I watched your video a month ago. We went to butlins Bognor Regis for the first time in February. Your tips were useful. I was panicking about the shows booked up on the app. It wasn't lol.
I can confirm that the b serve app for booking drinks, has improved. We got our drinks served within 10 minutes 👍🏾
Totally agree with the lack of staff when ordering drinks, it was a waste of time by the time they arrived. Also extremly disappointing regarding the lack of night entertainment, you get to see 1 show an evening, so either have to stay in appartment until 9pm before late show, of return back to appartment by 9pm as nothing else to do or go.

They keep the funfair closed as long as often as they can as each ride is about 50 years old! There’s only so much juice you can get out of a lemon!

Stumbled across your vlog by accident and I'm so glad I did! We are going for the first time in October and although I'm super excited I was already getting stressed regarding booking slots for various things (had a nightmare with Haven) but your video has helped to ease some of that stress so thank you so much
The reason there's hardley any redcoats swanning around is because a lot of them are having to fill in, in other roles, inc the bars, shops, cleaning duties, behind the scenes, wardrobe etc, this is due to all the overseas staff having gone home during lockdowns & then being unable to return, if you ask the security/door staff for extra table/chairs, they bring them for you, they don't turn anyone away, they have to fully sanitize the venue between each show thats why guests can't sit around too long like before. Hopefully we can all get our lives back soon, enjoyed the vlogs btw, nothing like a family holiday 😊👍

I used to work at butlins minehad, The reason the fair isn't open late is because they use the fairground staff to help clean chalets in the morning then help in bars/restaurants in the evening and because its free it's not profitable to keep it open. Also they can't have outdoor stage anymore because they had noise complaints last year from local residents.
And the funfair rides are croaking it because they’re so old.
That is such an informative vlog. We appreciate the time and effort put in to make all those videos. Guests now know what to expect, how to prebook and all the do's and dont's. It is a very balanced viewpoint, well presented and very helpful. Cheers guys 👍

Great video, great advice. We are going in August and the app has no availability for any of the activities. Tried since early July. So we are going but have been unable to book anything. I’ve spoken to butlins but I was just told to keep trying.
The holiday was a success, we managed to get our son on most of the activities as we just asked when we got there and they squeezed us in or let us in due to cancellations or people just not turning up. We have also booked for next year. Best part of the holiday was the circus 🎪
Very helpful video. We are going to Butlins today. 1st time Butlins visitors to Bognor Regis and first time ever Butlins. We have plans to cook all through because our kids are super fussy eaters due to sensory needs from Autism 😢. But we love to have some Butlins fun.

@@Chloe-il2rx i was at minehead last weekend. The arcade is open. Most if not all things are open but some close early (coffee shop, sweet shop).
I'm booking for August tomorrow, have 2 11 year olds and younger ones, the older ones will want to go on the fair, are you able to book separate things at the same time? and do you need to book the Fairground.?

We’ve been before loads before COVID and have been 3 times since COVID, and we’ve loved it all in both cases. They are trying to stay open during a bad time so us people can have holidays, with not many aboard holidays. And the thing with mask wearing butlins or anywhere can make people wear a mask if you worked in the retail sector etc like I do then you would know how hard it is to get people to wear them

Reason I not bother going to Butlins this year is 50 min Session I rather Wait until Booster Jab sort Out and Go back there full time next year

Ours didn't take to long to come at bognor. We did get a refund on a drink as it was busy.they told us at bognor we had to leave and take drinks with us if u leave anything on table ut goes in bin. They were short staffed everywhere . Security at bognor were telling people to put masks on. I've had both my jabs and still wear mask.
Maybe we'll try Bognor next time 👌

Just returned from Minehead 70's weekend.
Had a great time overall but here's a couple of moans.
Queing in the freezing cold to get in Reds or the Skyline for over an hour.
Price of drinks almost a fiver for a 3/4 pint of Guiness.
I haven't been to Butlins for 20 odd years and noticed some big changes.
You used to pay in advance and most things were free. Now its money money money. No Redcoats I didn't see one the whole weekend.
Cant complain about the food it was excellent.

U have to book 1 yes.....and u can't book another until the next day....it was awful.......it's all about the money now...our room wasn't clean..I had to buy toilet paper and we couldn't get booked into things we wanted to do....all very disappointing...we won't be back
We could book 1 swimming session for each day online before we went, but go speak to the swimming staff on arrival and I'm sure they'll be able to help you 👌

Last summer after first lockdown had a outdoor stage which has been replaced by studio 36 but i agree book more then 1 show last year was fine i had 2 or 3 shows booked every evening snd they could overlap

Im sorry but minehead is a little town and we dont have a big population and dont feel that all of us want to work on butlins we have had struggles with staff everywhere not just butlins
Would of loved to of gone to Minehead. Used to as a child. Now taking grandchildren to Butlins but because you don't have a train station it mean we can't.
2 trains and 96 stops on a bus is too much😭

You can see more than 1 show per night while at butlins, however you can only book 1 show per night in advance, the other shows would have to be booked on day of that show.

@@TheDudgies The info on it is quite hidden for some reason, I only found out about it by accidentally pressing something on the app. Unless you're actively looking for that info it is very easy to miss.

I worked in butlins minhead 2008-2011. Highly recommend it,its an amazing experience and you learn so many life skills and meet some fab friends for life

They can’t produce staff out of thin air unfortunately, all of hospitality is short staffed! Nobody wants to do it anymore!

Did you not get the option to add extra shows each day, they tend to release more slots each day around 9am I was told ☺️
I'm not sure if they add extra slots for the shows but a few people have told us since they managed to get in when they turned up at show time 👍

Why no outside entertainment with drinks, wouldn't that be better? I think I may have gone outside camp if there was so many problems with evening entertainment and trying to get drinks etc.
Last summer in Skegness they had outdoor stage and tables with pop up bar, but they must have removed it this year, it’s a shame though as that would have been a lot better this summer.
