- The Right Opinion: The Bitter "Fall" Of Onision - Greg's Last Stand | TRO
Intro:
A lot of what we’ve observed, is initially the product of putting your life online, Onision has in a way, created his own story through the medium of UA-cam, and I’ve often wondered if Greg sees his life like a movie, one where he plays the main character, one where he can be this role model to so many other people. This individual, always on the line between good and evil, I mean we saw that in his little project, he had this dark, and light theme, and this sort of line between them, but the thing is you can’t easily manufacture such a character, unless you’re a real artist, and the problem was that Greg clearly integrated a lot of his own personal investments into this character, a lot of strange desires that didn’t merely involve him, and ultimately that led to people being hurt. Movies are often movies for a reason, we may idolise some characters, we may even see parts of ourselves in the worst people, but self-control is a necessary constituent that should be exercised, especially when you’re a public figure with great responsibility.
The way that Onision had cultivated his audience gave him an even greater responsibility than many creators, because his audience were highly committed to him as a personality, and would likely be heavily influenced by his behaviour. He had carved out this corner on the internet that was relatively isolated from reality. Onision was never interested in responsibility, and over time, he had managed to isolate various people who bought into his doctrine more closely, and did, for a significantly amount of time, whether by luck or by judgement, get away with it.
As mentioned at the end of the last video, by September 2019, the tides were beginning to turn, instigated by many people, but brought forward by a person named Sarah primarily, arguably the most concerning example of the people that he involved in his life. A lot of people at this point had already been dunking on Onision, he was a popular target that accumulated views, but this was what finally pushed many people over the top with their criticisms, and it went from “Look at this dude”, to “Look at this dude”. These criticisms have mostly amounted to focusing on his behaviour, although there are many actions that shouldn’t be ignored.

ADDITIONAL CAVEATS:
John Swan’s part got the age of which Shiloh alleges Greg assaulted her in Pennsylvania, he says it was 16, she messaged him to tell him it was 17. This doesn’t change the legality (or illegality), but worth clarifying. Apparently Pennsylvania has contradictory laws regarding aoc, which I find confusing, but I will put my trust in John.
John Swan: "I also unintentionally blurred the line between 'proof' and 'evidence' so I'll be sure to clarify that in the future. Testimonies can be used as 'evidence' but they cannot always be used as 'proof,' as a criminal defence lawyer would argue admissibility and has a good chance of winning."

@Joong Kim Yeah basically, loooooots of mortality rates involved with both woman and child. Just because the body *can* reproduce doesn't mean it should. The whole "If they are old enough to get pregnant they should be legal" or "they did it back in the day" arguments are null and void in a lot of ways. People use to leave rusty nails in their feet thinking that pulling it out is what caused infection or treated illnesses with leeches sooooo can't say "back in the day" is a good bias to put any credit into regarding health concerns.

can you explain why this is true? I always thought women were most likely to get pregnant when they were younger, which is why arranged marriages usually had 14 year old girls marrying in the Middle Ages
@@dylancrooks6548 I think it's because 14 year olds and around that age are more likely to have complications with the pregnancy due to them not being more physically mature? so even if they have a higher chance of conception, there's a higher risk for bringing it to term. in the middle ages, people were dying much sooner than we do now, so they were trying to have their kids reproduce quickly to continue their lineage. childbirth mortality (both mothers and children) was much higher back then for a lot of reasons. I'm not sure why the prime range is late 20s-early 30s though. My best guess is because of a fully developed brain.

@@bruhmoment1936 yes, it is. during the beginning of puberty for both men and women hormones will be wild, making periods irregular, pain (for men) and so on. when you're in your 20s to 30s your brain is fully developed and thus can handle the hormones better than if you were young. this regulates periods and the peaks in testosterone (since men too have a hormonal cycle) making reproduction more likely.

The fact that Onision said that teens are "Prime for breeding" sickens me. Some teen pregancies end with the mother dead, the kid dead, or a very long recovery. Teens aren't fully developed meaning neither are us females reproductive organs, making pregnacy very dangerous. I was in the waiting room hearing my step sister giving birth, she's 19. They had to do an emergency C-section, she almost lost her kid... (Kids fine now btw)

@@majomhaha5026 In my opinion, quite a few of the things Onision says seem to be outside the human empathy. There have been times in the past while watching his antics, where it seems like he has a complete separation of human morals, and a more "natural" world response. Basically, the way the world is to animals. This was a conclusion I came to some time ago, though I don't remember the exact scenarios that made me believe this. (I have a habit of studying by observation and I'm interested in logic, philosophy, just..human behavior and why we do things) At some point I came to that conclusion, because it does seem like he bounces back and forth from more natural animalistic "sociopathic" ideas, to turning around completely whenever it suits him.

As a parent, I am so happy about the videos that came out bringing things to light and criticizing Onion Boy. My daughter was a huge fan of his. I would tell her that he was a scumbag and to not take anything he said to heart. She of course would argue it because, well, what do I know? I'm just her mom.
To have her say out loud, "How the hell did I ever like that a$$hole? Gah!" makes me so damn happy.

Cameron I can’t speak for others but if his children were put in a better home and he lost his access to the internet I would gladly never discuss or hear somebody discuss him again. My issue with onision isn’t just “drama” it’s what he’s done to his victims and what he’s doing to his children. If somebody is just watching for the drama, who cares. There is real damage being done here and the awareness this has garnered is what’s really turned the tide, who cares how children are saved from a toxic household it just matters that they are.

Woman are at their most fertile in their early 20s it's when they have the most amount of good quality eggs and have the lowest risks, so it may sound rude to say but there is a "prime breeding age" for woman.

TheMysteryRPGguy nope, WHO and other organisations state that mid to late 20's is the healthiest time to have children. Anything under 20 increases risk of difficult pregnancy and injury or death to mother. He said 18-19, which is not even early 20's. 18 year olds have a much more difficult time than 28 and even 38 year old. Complications from old age occur around mid to late 40's, but even those risks have been overstated in terms of newborn development issues, where the risk may be increased by "200%" of something like Down syndrome, but when the risk in the first place is a fraction of a percentage, then doubling the risk does little to the overall risk.
This isn't even getting into the fact that sperm also decreases in quality with age and contributes to issues itself, but that's ignored because genetic and fertility issues are easier to blame on women. It's also ignoring that Greg had kids with an 18yo but chooses to ignore them, especially his daughter, further indicating that these statements are made due to his dehumanising view of women and desire for easy targets of manipulation (i.e. Barely legal girls).

People that blame the victim of rape for not coming forward and telling have NOT been in the victim's shoes. It is so incredibly hard to come forward and when you do you tell your story over and over again. Then people know and they look at you with pity or like you're Vile. Then there's the realization they might not be convinced, they might get out in a few years. The fear of my abuser is so great I didn't come forward for 10 years. And then tell your spouse that he's the blame for his rape is the worst thing you can do to them besides doing it to them yourself. Gregory is truly vile and just needs to be stuck on a deserted island with no way off.
It's worse (but in a different way) when you're a guy. People doubt you, ask stupid questions like 'was it really rape if you didn't report it to the police?' Or they ask why you didn't fight back. They also ask 'why don't you just leave?' Even when you're trying to get help so you feel ok coming forward with this abuse, you have to be very careful with what therapists or other people you seek help from. Some of them don't seem to care, tell you to just move on or to forget it even happneed.
It's just horrible for everyone who have been victims

Well, not so much of an answer as it was a deflection: he basically went on how people should concentrate on "real" criminals and blamed everyone else, mainly his neighbours who had told him to clear some bushes (yeah, they told him to clear bushes, not cut down trees and level the wetlands with a bulldozer) and then blamed them for ratting him out.
Oh, and he also pulled "think of the children!" card, claiming that it was absolutely nessercary to destroy those trees and pushes because his kids could've gotten hurt. It gets harsher in hindsight with her daughters accident due to Onion's own neglicenge.

Motus one of my biggest problems with Hansen is that he had physical evidence on a computer, in his possession, that he swore he would send to his contacts in the FBI.
The victim sent that computer to Hansen, and it sat in Vincent Nicotra’s house for 6 months. It was never sent to the FBI. Hansen straight up lied about that.
Also, not sure if you’re aware of this, but look into the reason why To Catch A Predator was cancelled.
I really look at Hansen as a conman. A person who found a way to profit off our hatred of pedophiles and sexual assault of minors. Nothing he has done in the last year has led me to believe he has any interest in taking Onision down. Part of me feels for Kai, he was pulled into Onions crazy world and went though who knows what for a long time. But that's NO EXCUSE to bring other people into it. Yes, abuse makes you not think right and do what you need to protect yourself, but I can't help but dislike him because he did NOTHING he let this shit go on for years.
Hope that after some time away Kai will be able to come back a better person, admit to their mistakes and improve as a person tenfold

Well you can "groom" someone lovingly for success like an amazing parent. Or you could even groom someone for your own malicious intentions.
So the topic is a bit unstable.
Like the difference between murdering an innocent individual and murdering someone as a last resort self defense mechanism. Under most circumstances, both parties can be sentenced to life and jail.
So I would hope that if "grooming laws" were ever put in play here the the USA then it will have little to no holes open for abuse of said law and will have tactics to only bring justice to thoughs guilty of any form of malicious grooming.
You have much better laws than most of the world, it has problems, but it succeeds in protecting the kids.
