I have the same bike. Did you make any adjustments to the fuel mixture? If not, do you get backfiring during deceleration, or letting off throttle? Did you notice any loss in power? How long did it take you to install the pipes? Did you replace the crush gasket? As far as the sound, would you say it's A LOT louder than factory, or middle of the line (just loud enough)? Sorry for all the questions, but I am thinking about installing the same pipes on the same bike. Thanks
man those sound amazing. its what i am going to get on mine sometime this year. love being able to hear far down the road and approach. stock exhaust is just to quiet
they don't rust out like a Harley either, cables don't break transmission don't get slugged up ,dont leave you pushing them down the highway etc etc etc my used 2007 kawasaki bought in 2009 17500miles put on it (bought for wife but I kept having to ride it)1 tire,my Harley bought new in 2008 now 21k miles 3 tires 5 batteries 3 throttle cables, seat ,4 fork seals way too much wasted time and way too much rust .Harley don't use good metal good chrome or good sense anymore.I cant pay that much for a bike I can only take out on cool dry days, dont get me wrong I loved my HD but it just couldn,t handle the highway and I ride way too much for a display model
obieezx11 I fitted them to my 900 also...with absolutely no intention of making it sound like a Harley... I also fitted a Cobra fuel manager and a custom air intake. It was done to enhance the bike's performance...which it did.... The motorcycle world has more than just Harleys in it.... and - don't get me wrong, I like Harleys.....I just cannot afford one....I'm just happy to ride what I have - Cheers
coming from a Harley owner (2013 sportster)..... there are many manufacturers out there that built AWSOME bikes, some have come and gone. Harley is not the only bike that can look and sound good. I dont know why most Harley owners (except me) think every bike is crap unless its by Harley. The main bike builders have been around for well over 50 years, everyone has copied off of one another at some point. Indian was the first built bike, Harley sure had no problem making their bike look similar for years. What about the Vrod and the new Street 750/500? Look and sound like a metric, but God forbid anyone say that they copied off a metric. This attitude from people really pisses me off, and this is coming from a Harley owner. I never did and never will jump on the Harley only bandwagon. Honestly, I probably prefer a Honda over any bike, but love looking at all bikes and listening to them.
+obieezx11 Harley's run a single pin crank (both pistons share same pin) which uses different timing to produce that patented Harley sound. Most everybody else uses dual pin cranks (each piston has it's own pin). Dual pins tend have a more balanced, less lopey exhaust note than the Harley's. Metric cruisers will never sound like a Harley unless the manufacturer designs the engine similar to what HD uses (which will never happen. HD tech < Everybody else).
Very few people allow their bikes to idle down when they show off their pipes. Is it possible to hear the normal idle?

Did you experience any backfiring after you installed the exhaust?
Alex Gutierrez when you come to a stop sign it does a little bit but sounds cool
What kind of stereo does your bike have? Those pipes sound great and deep.
Not sure on the stereo but it’s not very good the pipes on the other hand sound awesome
