He has never stopped being the best since 2020 imo. But he did have a relatively down year last year for his standard.
He’s been the best player in the league for about 5 or 6 years. The only thing he doesn’t do well is shoot 3s he’s pretty much above average or elite at everything else he’s the only player like that in the league.

This isn’t surprising at all. We’ve been telling Bucks fans since before the season started but they were too blind with the dame acquisition to accept the reality, a team without defense stands absolutely no chance.
Crowder will be a nice addition and Horst is notorious for shaking things up at the trade deadline. It's not like they don't have the second best record in the NBA. And they are a veteran team. Health is more important than seeding come playoff time. Rather drop a few games and be healthy than lock in in January only to get banged up come playoff time
Giannis could literally average 44-45 PPG, 15 REB, 2 STL and 3 blocks a game if he wanted to, the bucks heavily need to improve their perimeter defense cuz Giannis is doing everything offensively and defensively

You know why Giannis is the MVP? He brings people into the stands to see HIM. He gets more "Ooohs" and "OMG's" in away games than anyone else in the league! He plays HARD whenever he steps on the court. Does he punish players who guard him? Yes, absolutely does, but he TAKES more punishment every possession. How many players in the league have 3-4 and sometimes 5 players taking a swipe at him nearly every time he touches the ball? He's not a whiner and respects the game and the opponents. He is exactly what the league SHOULD be promoting!

Everyone is talking about the perimeter defense, but what is even worse is the rebounding. The Bucks actually get a decent amount of initial stops but they often fail to secure the defensive rebound, leading to easy put-backs and threes.
They give up an absurd amount of second chance points & offensive boards.
When they used to lead the league. Having both Giannis and Lopez show higher on defense is leading to this. They've sacrificed paint defense and rebounding to pressure the 3pt line. Leading to a lot of easy points.

This team has been going as Lillard goes. They're 12-0 when Lillard shoots .500 or better. 13-11 when he doesn't (including 2 games Lillarrd missed). Pretty glaring stat. And that doesnt get to the Bucks dumb pressure scheme with two poor perimeter guards.
