As somewhat of a perfectionist I can really relate to this - to paraphrase Voltaire: don't let perfection be the enemy of good enough. When I built out my SUV, I had to start rushing through the last couple weeks - moving day was coming for everyone in the house. I wasn't able to put a finish on the wood used in the build, but it works. BUT, everything (fridge, bed, battery, pantry tote, clothes tote, solar panel suitcase, etc.) fit like a glove. 😊
Right there with you on my build, 18 months in, I've made life adjustments along the way but it's daunting. But she hit the nail on the head saying that imperfect action is better than perfect inaction. If I made 5 busses they would all get better but that's all part of it. You did an amazing job on the build and clearly did a lot of research!

I love it! Only one thing I'd do differently is add an itty bitty back-splash type wall with tile between your bed & stove. That way when you cook theres no chance of it splashing over to your bed.
I kinda cringed when I saw the bed next to the stove also. I would have either had to switch the sink and stove around or made, (even a temporary), wall between it and the bed. That would avoid both splashing from cooking, but also insure that the bedding cannot come in contact with the flame of the stove.

Your bus is really nice, I looked for one this size. They were no were to be found within my budget. I will have one some day. I converted an old 2001 Chevy Express 2500 4 years ago. My Goldendoodle and I traveled 3.5 years, I loved every mile of it. I rented a place for one year so I could create and visit with my family, we will definitely be heading back out after the year is up. I miss the vanlife and I honestly believe my Doodle misses it as well. Paying rent each month is not a joy. My Best to both of you, your hard work of 15 hour shifts have paid off immensely. I'm super impressed. I could be your mom either one and I would be so proud, I am super proud of you guys! Team work makes the dream work! You guys are a great team! ❤
My best advice at this time would be to be at an angle so you can see where the blade is coming up through the material, and keep the blade cutting on your line. Remember to take account of the blade width when you make your measurements for the lines, as the result can be way off if you're making more than one cut for the same piece of wood. For example, a circular saw blade takes out one eighth of an inch, so you need to add that 1/8" to each succeding cut mark or you can wind up 1/4" or more off of the actual width/length you wanted after five or more cuts. I usually just measure each cut after I make the first one, to avoid having to do the math. LOL
Oh, wearing safety glasses is important, too, as there is nothing much worse than getting sawdust in your eyes just as you are making the cut and messing it up...plus it can HURT!
This is coming from a masters carpenters daughter . Yall are some badasses. Yall did great i just wish my dad could have seen yall build this . He would be very proud of yall ..

Well done . I noticed you have very nice power tools and saws for people that say you had never nailed Teo pieces of wood together . I think you had . But nice work .
Great job! I've done this myself (like by my self, no help) and know first hand how much blood, sweat and tears goes into this. Kudos to you both for being such a great team. You did great! It looks beautiful! Hope to meet you on the road some day 🙂
I love it. It looks like something a person can accomplish where many of these seriously look like wealthy people only can do it. You two worked so hard and it shows. Wonderful!

I don't know how how to use some of the saw tools

Came out great! I couldn't imagine that amount of work; true warriors. I especially love the mosaic stair tiles at the entrance.
Wonderful!
