@@lavdancy no Alcorn did not take the opportunity to play at home, the decision was made by the swac officials. They decided that which ever team in the league had the best record, thats who would have host the game. If Southern would have won more games than Alcorn then they would have hosted the game.

@@bodean6948 Well I had a little too much melanin to be a Doll during Dr. Greggs' era...or so I thought. I remember during the mid 80s going over to SU from LSU with a friend who was a Golden Girl (LSU's dance line). Her childhood dance instructor was visiting and working with the Dolls and she invited me and another friend to go and watch her dance with them. She danced circles around those girls. She had impeccable technique compared to them. But, they were pretty so I guess it didn't matter. While we were there, Dr. Greggs' fresh a** was flirting and asking us if we wanted to be Dolls. We were like, "we're not SU students." Didn't stop him from being fresh though. The Dolls are basically the same now as they were then.They have a style unlike most HBCU dance lines. You may call it boring but it's tasteful and clean. You're never going to hear people compare their moves to a stripper, and I guess they're okay with that.
