Im glad you're liking the Tesla! Ive done a few roadtrips in my 3. Some things I noticed - No reason to have the AC off. AC uses *very* little power, heat uses a lot more. For context the 3 has something like a 6KW heater. Thats a lot, however, when you average it over your entire trip, its still not enough of a savings where it should be the difference between reaching your destination and not. In my experience in the non-winter months the estimated arrival percentage is usually pretty accurate. I believe that number is crowd sourced against other Teslas. - Probably didn't need to charge above 90% also (trust the car, but give yourself a 10% buffer, 20% in winter months if you're very careful). I've only charged to 100% once (just for fun) - To get navigate on Autopilot to do a lane change, you just need to apply some force to the wheel. Alternative to applying force is to just tap the gear selector down halfway (like you're turning on cruise control), that counts as "applying force" or turning up/down volume. - Hotels with superchargers usually encourage owners to come inside. Not true in all cases (I assume). Sometimes places will offer free drinks or discounts if you show your Tesla card. Usually they'll have a sign if thats true. - To turn off AP you just need to tap up (I think you mentioned this in another video). Also if it tries to change lanes and then turns red it will wait a few seconds to see if the car is going to accelerate and then if they dont it will go over. (At least this is the case in the US. EU law restricted a lot of AP)
6 kW is a rate, 6kW for an hour is a quantity of 6kWh. Cooling requires more energy than heating because heating is essentially 100% efficient, cooling isn't
for those wondering, the blue flashes on the top right of the screen just mean the car needs to know if the driver is still attentive, so it needs him to touch the steering wheel.
When you come across a charger that doesn't work, the etiquette is to leave the nozzle on top of the charger. this tells other users that it isn't working, your welcome.

Charging tip, you’ll spend less time charging if you would run the battery down to 10%, and then only charge to 70-80% instead of all the way into the 90% bracket.
@@iiTzSunrise Fully autonomous cars are a pipe dream. They will, for the foreseeable future, always need an alert carbon based lifeform sitting there waiting to take control. This is because, unless humans are legislated off the road, autonomous vehicles will have to coexist with unpredictable human drivers, and because of that, their conservative programming will often reduce them to “unsafe to proceed” status requiring human intervention. Reminds me of an incident that happened with me back in December 2015 when I was riding with my friend as pillion on a motorcycle (Bajaj Avenger 220 cruise) on an Indian highway. Out of no where I noticed a rope running across the highway. The rope was too thin to be noticed from a distance. I must be at 60 kms/hr when I noticed the thing and was successfully able to stop the bike before hitting it. The rope was tied to a buffalo that was standing on the divider (between the highway) and the other end was held by the owner of the buffalo who was trying to pull so that it (buffalo) crosses the road.. but it won't nudge. I wonder how would tesla respond to such a situation. Will it even notice the mid-air dangling rope as a hurdle ?

nice and concise commentary, i think the evs clincher at this point really is the range and battery power consumption. add massive improvements to this and these cars would take over.
Right mate, here we go: I work for an EV charging company. The reason it takes ages for the last 10-20% is to protect the longevity of the battery in your car. Any rapid charge over 80% DAMAGES the battery. It's much better to use a 7Kwh charger for that last 20% so I would recommend using a homecharge unit, if you have one. Those two chargers at Scotch Corner need reporting. The first one looks like it has a possible diode issue. The second one has an issue with the throughput of the actual electricity - may be something to do with the power supply to the units, or something inside the actual unit malfunctioning. Either way - two chargers underperforming is quite the norm in terms of EV charging stations, one being out for over a month is SHOCKING. The infrastructure is NOT ready. Hope you have some good breakdown cover with your insurance company for the rainy day when you are isolated and you get to a charger to find it doesn't work! Good luck!
