We need to start a game where we bet on how many times he says 'really nice.' :) We almost bought this model as our first full-timer model a year or so ago because the bathroom is cavernous, and the seating was perfect for just a couple.
It's a shame they discontinued this model. We have a 2017 with the L shaped dinette that offers a sleeper bed. This is the perfect couples camper for us, big enough to have true separation for the bedroom and bath yet nimble enough to fit in state and national park sites.
Good Morning My Good Friend Of Big Trucks & Big Trailers & Big RVs & God Bless You & All Of You're Whole Family Today & Have A Great & Blessed Day Today From You're Good Friend Timbo White
My only complaint about that design is the TV is mounted too high. It should be at eye level and it would have been easy to do by redesigning that storage/entertainment unit.
the recliners are a upgrade. it comes standard with a L shaped couch. these have been discontinued for 2020. they moved the floorplan to another model line in the GD family
I love the TV placement too! I never realized how annoying it is to have the TV placed in a weird corner away from the seating until I saw an rv like that in person. For space-saving I get it, but It makes zero sense for usability. At this point, it's becoming a deciding factor for me. it's so uncomfortable
I like your reviews you do a great job. I think you need to take a look at the brand Outdoors RV. I have never been more impressed with build quality and construction as I have been with that brand. Check them out if you can.
Have you noticed that Grand Design doesn't put the heater vents on the floor? Won't have kids or adults dropping things into the vents. Won't cover a vent will a foldout bed, either.
Why do manufactures cheap out and stop the gutter right in the middle of the baggage compartment? Just use another 18" of material and have it dump forward of the doors so you're not getting soaked while you pack up or set up!
Agreed. Bring the TV down to eye-level, put the electronics above it, turn the left storage space into silverware and flatware drawers, split the right storage space into two shorter cabinets above and below the TV, change the theater seating into a dinofa, and Grand Design would have had something grand. Generally, the floor plan is good...big bathroom, good space around the bed, good space in the main living area. I'm guessing the hose connection near the nasties drainage point is a black tank flush. If it doesn't have that, it's a sub-$20k RV.
Check out the Open Range 2102RB. My fiance and I bought one last year. It's nearly the same layout as this, although with more storage and about 2 overall additional feet in length. 7400GW.
We're looking at the new 2021 Jayco Jay Feather 22RB. Jayco added a 2nd entry exit door in the bedroom! That, the outdoor kitchen plus the 2+3 warranty have us leaning that way.
Thanks for the information. I have looked a lot at all kinds of Grand Designs and love your review. I currently have a Forest River Grey Wolf 26DBH and even though it’s been good to me, it provides a lot of challenges that help with content for my channel. Also, love your new intro.
Great quick walk-thru. Unfortunately this is now a discontinued floorplan and is listed as "dealer stock only". We were fortunate to find one here in the Western Provinces. Ours has a chaise lounge dinette, which does open into a second sleeping area. Trailer length is actually 26' 9" Water tank fill is actually inside the pass-thru storage compartment on the drivers side. A couple of other awesome features I didn't hear mentioned in the video are the 35,000 BTU furnace, 52 gallons of fresh water storage, and two grey water tanks.
Want to clarify that this is a 2019 model; in the 2020 model they updated the interior color schemes with different cabinet doors and upgraded blackout shades on the windows. Some folks do actually prefer the 2019 because of that, but of course it's a matter of taste.
So if I take the GVWR of 6695 lbs and subtract the CCC of 1293 lbs then I'm looking at a UVW of 5402 lbs? I'm cross shopping the 2150RB with the Northern Spirit 2145RBX which seems to be about 400 lbs lighter with the same floorplan.
We had this model about a year and half ago. Worst trailer I have ever owned. Had it for six months and the slide stopped working, all 4 leaf springs were flat and had to be replaced and two tires were wore out on the inside edge. Trailer was not overloaded as I weighed it twice in the six months I had it.
I have a question, I'm 6'6" and I'm having a hard time finding a camper trailer that has a shower that I can comfortably stand up in, do you have any recommendations ???? I do very much like Grand Designs, I'm interested in a quality unit and would like to be around 30' foot
I like this unit. I agree, the tv could be placed lower. Someone mentioned NO fridge access with the slide in? True? If so, ugh! Lastly, I do not like the closets coming all the way down to the bed. I'd feel cramped up against the wall as I rolled over while sleeping. I like the ones that are suspended above, giving you more headroom, and a place to set your drink and phone. Other than that, I like Grand Design rvs.
Well-done review! What do you think about the new Alliance Paradigm that is designed for permanent living quarters (which is what we're looking at for a downsizing retirement option)? There are 2 of the largest models right now: 370FB and 372RK.
I’m thinking about getting a grand design 2800 BH . With a GVWR of 7995 . UVW 6,386 My half ton can haul up to 9,300 lbs . Would that be well within the limits of my truck ? Thank you for your time .
The biggest issue you are gonna run into is the payload of your truck. The truck can pull it with the right weight distribution setup, but you are gonna eat into the trucks payload with the tongue weight of the trailer. Most owners are reporting tongue weights of about 1K lbs for the 2800BH. Might want to look at the 2400Bh a little smaller and lighter and your truck would tow it better. good luck and happy camping.
We were very impressed with the Grand Design factory tour. Still no access to the fridge when the slide is a deal breaker for me. Love the large window!
I have an Imagine 2400BH and we can access the fridge with the slide in. The door opens a little more than 45 degrees, so it's tight, but accessible. I wish I could get to the bedroom with the slide closed.
cullinan18 We have a Winnebago 2250DS and can get to bed, bath and fridge with the slide in. One of the reasons we went with that model. Don’t know how many times we’ve stopped to load up on groceries and were able to put all away without moving the slide out. Definitely a major convenience when on a long trip. Happy Camping!
@@donnaschindlbeck7457 I really wish I had the access to the bedroom. Many times I've had to open and close, open and close the slide because I forgot something important in the bedroom. Happy camping!
That is the main reason why i didnt go with this floorplan. I went up one model to the 2250RK. The seating is better with the TV at eye level. It has 2 doors so I can access the front bedroom, bathroom, and then the rear of the coach as well. You can also walk through the whole camper with the slide closed.
Grand Design Imagines are probably the best bang for your buck, regardless of which model or floorplan you get. You get the awesome warranty, and all the same goodies that end up in a Solitude or Momentum.
I like the fact that this is designed for adults only. Great design. Love Grand Design.
We need to start a game where we bet on how many times he says 'really nice.' :)

Mark Wandrey I didn’t hear him say a price, how much were they asking for the one you saw
It's a shame they discontinued this model. We have a 2017 with the L shaped dinette that offers a sleeper bed. This is the perfect couples camper for us, big enough to have true separation for the bedroom and bath yet nimble enough to fit in state and national park sites.
Great camper for a two people. Very nice layout.
We just bought an Imagine and this floor plan was on the shortlist, ended up choosing a 2670MK to get a dedicated dinette.
I have a 2670MK as well. It is very nice!
I agree, a regular dinette is the way to go!
What size tow vehicle are you using? I would like to tow the 2670MK with a half ton truck but don’t know if it’s safe.
We love our Imagine! We were between this and our 2600RB. I loved the J-lounge option on this model.
Good Morning My Good Friend Of Big Trucks & Big Trailers & Big RVs & God Bless You & All Of You're Whole Family Today & Have A Great & Blessed Day Today From You're Good Friend Timbo White
I really like this coach I do wish the wood was in a lighter color. The dark wood makes it seem dark inside.
This is a 2019. 2020s are lighter colored grey.
My only complaint about that design is the TV is mounted too high. It should be at eye level and it would have been easy to do by redesigning that storage/entertainment unit.
Love this one except I would prefer a regular sofa and more ride step above.
the recliners are a upgrade. it comes standard with a L shaped couch. these have been discontinued for 2020. they moved the floorplan to another model line in the GD family
This floorpan has been discontinued in the "Imagine" line. It looks like they've moved it to the Transcend Xplor line as the 221RB.
The Heritage Glen Hyper-Lyte 25RBHL is identical as well
Like this trailer. I really like your new opening. Texting from Ontario Canada. Have a good day.
This unit has an option of different seating configuration so that you can make a bed
LOVE the new intro JD!!
Okay perfect Rv if it had a washer dryer unit somewhere.
Awesome informational educational video experience Y'alls
Looks nice, great floor plan for a couple. I’d love to see more small or midsize TT’s that work for 2 adults and 2 children.
check out the image 24bh
@@tonyat5554 good call 👍

So they put two heating source exhaust on the "patio" side of the RV?? Not having a trailer yet, is this a good idea or is the heat output minimal?
What’s up with that table? Looks like it’s floating in midair.
I prefer your old intro logo.
How about a serious cold weather RV like -20
Why do manufactures cheap out and stop the gutter right in the middle of the baggage compartment? Just use another 18" of material and have it dump forward of the doors so you're not getting soaked while you pack up or set up!
$1 pool noodle does the trick of keeping water away from you while working in the storage area
Can over this in the uk?
Floor plan no good.
Perfect for a single person, thanks! It is weird there's no silverware drawer, and I'd bring the TV down lower. 👍

This travel trailer is strictly for couples who don’t have kids and never plan on bringing anyone with them
My wife and I have been discussing this model and the Jay Feather 22rb.

We ended up getting a North Trail 22crb. I still like the Jayco
Thank you for giving the weight first so that I know whether or not I can even start liking it.

We came very close to buying that model. Great trailer!
Just saw your truck at walmart a little while ago. Sweet rig!

Use as a F/T unit.
Love that storage space for that size trailer. One of the biggest areas I've seen on a trailer that size.

Outside graphics are perfect. Interior looks like a B&W photo. No warmth. Completely lifeless. Sad.
Nice trailer. I appreciate the tours and the variety that you are showing JD. Like the new intro as well. 👍🏻
I love the layout!
Perfect in most ways only thing I don't like is a sliding door for the bathroom
But I still prefer a toy hauler
This is actually a great travel trailer for the traveling blue collared worker.. I’m definitely gonna look into it, thank you
Serious Question: What are the guidelines and stuff to watch out for when shopping used travel trailers?
Interesting little trailer. I think I would prefer to have a proper dinette at least though.
My parents have this model and love it for themselves and their Boston terrier!
I love your in depth videos. I wish you would identify yourself. Cheers
Interesting floor plan! Shame for the lack of bedding
Saw this unit at an RV show recently... Really liked it!
You do the best reviews on you tube. No bs and no gimmicks.
more tacoma/ranger/jeep truck towables plz
What are your thoughts on the Northwood RVs?
This one would be good for those w/o children.
I love it!
