Much like him saying that Tom has no right to speak for the oppressed black community as he's not part of it. Nor should this guy if that's the case. Considering he's made a fine living rapping about the struggles of the black community. Not hardly held back by the color if HIS skin. Now was he?
You're not missing anything his music is for white people without self esteem who love conspiracy theories and just want to hear someone tell them what they already think. If click bait was a person it would be him no substance all ego.
Killer Mike hell yeah Sorry I'm late here...I just googled "why tom macdonald is horrible", and this was the first video that showed up 😊 Agree with you 💯 absolutely Tom is hip-hop's grifter and that's all he is I'm curious about what your community thinks of NF...?
not even close, tom only ever thinks about white vs black and gay vs straight, his brain is filled with miserable, stereotypical and divisive thoughts. In his song white boy he talks about "I'm not racist, I'm not the one who made you a slave" then proceeds to talk about how he doesn't judge black based off of pure black stereotypes like drinking hennesy. All he does is talk about snowflakes, the woke left, black people and gay people. Which ultimately makes him the biggest snowflake of them all. He's barely making any real genuine music. Not to mention his lyrical and musical abilities are some of the worst of any mainstream or popular underground artists.
Rap isn't music it's more like storytelling with a beat but what tom does brings out the truth behind the industry and propaganda that the left has controlled for very long time Hollywood and media Tom brings rap to different level being more positive and with unique style if there was anyone that can say rap is music tom has done it
Tom MacDonald is so racist he said if you don't download his "song" with racist Ben Shapiro, you don't support the Black community. Screw what he thinks about anything.
@@hotshot-te9xw How much of a loser does someone have to be to be a fan of Tom MacDonald? How could anyone consider him to even have any talent? He's a terrible writer, and whatever he recites is just stupid. You can't even call it rapping. It's like he's just reciting social media posts from a racist troll account out loud.
You appearing to be “triggered” and admitting being offended by the song fed right into the narrative they wanted you to. A better way to approach people like Tom Macdonald and his fans, is to simply explain why they’re wrong about hiphop, unemotionally, that way it’s harder to dismiss your very valid points.
"The imaginary racism of the interloper in the community"... this is an important video for several reasons. Great to see Talib put time into this subject and put Tom McDonald in his place.
Imagine Jadakiss destroying 50 cent in a rap battle and then 50 cent goes on Piers Morgan to cry about how he was offended this is essentially what Talib is doing😂😂
You're REACHING and grasping for straws here. Tom is talking to and rapping for His audience, not yours. If another person's work "erases" your entire life's work then it wasn't that great or relevant to begin with. But keep it about race tho and see how far that gets you.
I spent most of my life loving Hip Hop. The Low End Theory initially connected with me despite being a lower income, middle class "parents didn't make it yet" kid who grew up near the Everglades. Being a precisionist who started in Jazz and Swing, I always loved the 90s Hip Hops' samples and messages. I was known as the white boy, hip hop drummer as I got older when everyone was playing blast beats and punk. Very counter coulter to the norm. I think that is why I fell into the conscious side of rap throughout my teens and twenties. My family valued free expression and thought. Be creative, don't hold yourself down. I really believe times have changed so much. The problems are so much different than 25-30 years ago. The majority of kids aren't listening to music with any sort of personal introspection. I thought this was the point of the industry you and Blackstar helped create. Tom and Ben aren't taking a short at your philosophy of hip hop. They are taking a shot of the autotune, mindless trap, rachet, drill, etc... (throw in a lot of pop music) state of the music industry. Yes, the Ben Shapiro verse was total satire, but it done to be controversial, buck all conceived notions, and be an independent thinker. Rage Against the Machines song "Know your Enemy" always comes to mind nowadays. They suffered and were blinded by their own success as I feel you are now.
Let’s look… you fell into conscious hip-hop from jazz drumming and parents who said be a free thinker. Seems like you practicing free comprehension well. How could you both sides an actual insult to the very art you say you love? Seems like your specific cannon of hip-hip is limited, the greats range from street life to learn who you are, from Kool G Rap to KRS-ONE. All paved a path for Native Tongues. NWA isn’t my enemy, the song FTP is a battle cry for urban youth who are targeted by them. Trap, drill etc… those are expressions of youth in circumstances, is overly marketed? Probably so. If none of their music existed the problems they speak about still would. What should that tell you, blaming an expression for choices you make is a poor excuse for a human. If your free thought hasn’t deduced that it’s system of oppression designed to suppress then your mind is still caged. Ben Shitpiro is a noted conservative speaker who has gone out of his way to side with r@cists and is not friend to blk ppl, so ya, we know who are our enemies very well. You Amy actually be one of them.
Good points, I feel brevity in youtube comments lose context. My Hip Hop journey would be way too long winded and boring for a comment section. I was just using a brief moment as a point of reference. R@cism is also thrown around so easily now that it has lost all power. I don't think that people got upset about Five Percenter ideas in hip hop which is super religiously intolerant and in many ways r@cist. I just believe Hip Hop was created to challenge yourself, look for the underlying meaning, and at times be uncomfortable with the message. But at the end of the day it is just music, good, bad, popular, revolting etc. I have know horrible musicians who have made great songs and amazing musicians that have made trash. @@carbonado1

The technical description of music: "Music is the arrangement of sound to create some combination of form, harmony, melody, rhythm, or otherwise expressive content. Music is generally agreed to be a cultural universal that is present in all human societies."
1)"when you watch debates, these people have notes" If ppl are criticizing for having notes, they have nothing real to criticize you for 2) "I'm just going with the scientists" a) The scientists don't agree with each other, you can find one that agrees with mainstream. Here's an example of one that doesn't echo what mainstream wants the message to be : Colin Wright (@SwipeWright) b) Also dont need to be a vet to know the difference between cat & a dog. c) The Trans Activists do not all draw the distinction between sex & gender, they have also said that sex is fluid.
Fake and gay, right off the bat obviously mischaracterizing Tom. Just because he has voiced criticisms of hip hop culture, and how it can be improved, doesn't mean he denigrated the entire thing. Much like him saying that Tom has no right to speak for the oppressed black community as he's not part of it. Nor should this guy if that's the case. Considering he's made a fine living rapping about the struggles of the black community. Not hardly held back by the color if HIS skin. Now was he?
Talib is offended he needs a safe space on UA-cam to speak in. You should be embarrassed Talib your getting clowned not a good look😂😂
solid Bancho vibes from Dave the diver my man
I heard of Thomas.
They will never debate somebody like Is Talib Kweli. Because
You're actually informed on the issue.
Lol. No, he isn't. He quoted Adam Calhoun in this video, not Tom.
I am a white woman living in Texas, and I have no idea to whom you refer. I hope that gives you hope.
You're not missing anything his music is for white people without self esteem who love conspiracy theories and just want to hear someone tell them what they already think. If click bait was a person it would be him no substance all ego.
Me too, and me neither! 😉
Good for u! Do you want a cookie
White savior complex
@@AlexandraOrzechowski or ally. 😉
Killer Mike hell yeah
Sorry I'm late here...I just googled "why tom macdonald is horrible", and this was the first video that showed up 😊
Agree with you 💯 absolutely
Tom is hip-hop's grifter and that's all he is
I'm curious about what your community thinks of NF...?
Tom lived in South Central, you really didn't do your research, lol, you are sounding more racist than Tom has in anything he's released.
LOL
not even close, tom only ever thinks about white vs black and gay vs straight, his brain is filled with miserable, stereotypical and divisive thoughts.
Born in B.C Canada you clowns
Right, many believe "being racist" can only be from white people, WRONG... This guy seems racist and clearly didn't do research on Tom...
Exactly
😴😴😴
Esham, mastamind, k rino, and wax is my list of hip hop mastery.
Edit: I realized I have a spot for one more artist.
Glad I left the left. The victimhood is real.
💯 I'm glad I'm off that plantation too, bro!
THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
100% facts!
Rap isn't music it's more like storytelling with a beat but what tom does brings out the truth behind the industry and propaganda that the left has controlled for very long time Hollywood and media Tom brings rap to different level being more positive and with unique style if there was anyone that can say rap is music tom has done it
That tweet was the first thing I thought of when I saw the song dropped 😂
When Killer Mike talks about "bulls**t rap music" is it possible that he and Tom MacDonald are talking about the same thing?
Tom MacDonald is so racist he said if you don't download his "song" with racist Ben Shapiro, you don't support the Black community. Screw what he thinks about anything.
such cap nerd
@@hotshot-te9xw How much of a loser does someone have to be to be a fan of Tom MacDonald? How could anyone consider him to even have any talent?
He's a terrible writer, and whatever he recites is just stupid.
You can't even call it rapping. It's like he's just reciting social media posts from a racist troll account out loud.
Yup. Talib is a hypocrite
Joe Biden: if you can’t decide whether to vote for me and not trump then you ain’t black!
Who is massa? The person you can’t go against right?
He didn’t blame hiphop he said he was copying the lifestyle of the top stars he was seeing on main stream
CLOUT CHASER #hangovergang
The problem isn't mainstream its the underground hiphop .Thats the problem! The 90's underground denounced bullshit!
That's what makes it good.😅😅😅
"The imaginary racism of the interloper in the community"... this is an important video for several reasons. Great to see Talib put time into this subject and put Tom McDonald in his place.
8,000 people have watched this in 4 months so yeah
Don't forget all the murders and deaths and killings that were attributed to rock and roll. It's just the big merry go round of music

Dude, you intersected yourself into irrelevance.
Social media keeps trying to silence Talib Kweli when the world needs him.
We don't need racist garbage Tom MacQAnon and Ben Swifeisdry as the voices of anything.
We need Talib.
Oh and I tried editing. But I couldn’t. I’m Métis. Partly indigenous. His brother in law and mother in law are indigenous. I doubt he’d want anything to do with him if he was racist.
The technical description of music:
"Music is the arrangement of sound to create some combination of form, harmony, melody, rhythm, or otherwise expressive content. Music is generally agreed to be a cultural universal that is present in all human societies."
Keep the chains on. Thats how they want you.
why he can't say it and you "rappers" can say it it's pretty easy - it's called racism
If rap isn’t music is it considered poetry is poetry, considered music or a musical content
1)"when you watch debates, these people have notes"
If ppl are criticizing for having notes, they have nothing real to criticize you for
2) "I'm just going with the scientists"

Where there are many words sin is not void 😊😅🎉😂❤🎉😊😊
Fake and gay, right off the bat obviously mischaracterizing Tom. Just because he has voiced criticisms of hip hop culture, and how it can be improved, doesn't mean he denigrated the entire thing. Taking that view of what he said is aggressively psychopathic, essentially saying the only way to support someone or something is to be a sycophant.
OK, you wanna talk about wings? Well then I guess I'll just be a seraphim with seven
Lol... And now Talib thinks men can be women?😂😂 You didn't just bring up an article from a biased website and call that science?.😂
So admitted he was a poser and a wanna be ..then realized he wasnt ready for real life .
