Karen, all due respect, I strongly disagree with you and the ambassador. As an Amerucan Filipino born and raised in the US, I believe that ANYONE ENTERING THE US ILLEGALLY MUST BE REMOVED. PARENTS HAVING A CHILD IN THE US AFTER ENTERING ILLEGALLY IS TO BE BLAMED. SCOTUS will make that determination soon. We can't have ANY consideration for citizens of certain countries and deport others. Let's flip this around: Do you think the Philippines will allow foreigners to remain in your country who've entered illegally? I think not. I married a Filipina and followed the law processing her paperwork accordingly and she waited in line. That's the law...PERIOD. Hiding for years in the US ILLEGALLY doesn't give you special privilege. They ALL have to return home and file their paperwork and wait in line.

Based on my knowledge & understanding, the real culprits here is the democrats? Why? Because of their open-boarder policy. They are allowing illegals to come to the US via southern boarders. That’s why there’s what we called sanctuary cities where most of these people are living. During the Biden & Harris administration there were an estimated more than 15 million illegal immigrants entered the US in different nationalities.

Both the interviewer and interviewee are clueless and ill informed. Illegal immigrants are not refugees, especially not these millions whom the failed previous administration allowed in the country.
Karen, kung pumasok ako sa bahay mo ng walang pahintulot, kumain, natulog… ok lang ba sa yo? Pag tumagal ako sa bahay mo, eventually ba papayag ka na tumira ako at maging parte ng family mo? RESPECT the LAW, enter USA legally. We welcome you.
@@Angeltine23ano ang malayo? Tama sinabi niya. Sama analogy. Ganyan mga illegals na pumupunta dito sa US. Pinaka madaling explanation at analogy na nga ang binigay ni @luzsantos5179 hindi mo pa rin na gets? 😂
These millions of people crossing illegally into the US are not refugees. Get a clue Karen. They're just migrants who crossed the border illegally. They have no legal right to anything from the US any more than an illegal immigrant to the Philippines has rights to accommodations from the Philippines government. Also, these are mostly not Filipinos, but rather come from all over the world. Green Card holders are permanent legal residents. Karen is pretty lost here. Nearly all immigrant Pinoys sa US are either there legally or they are over-stays from temporary (usually tourist) visas. There are some seamen ship jumpers and perhaps some who came across the border from Mexico illegally but surely very few. The over-stays can be deported, but there are millions of illegal border crossers who are much higher priority, especially the many who have criminal records or who have been deported previously but keep coming back. Over-stays can also still get Green Cards and become permanent residents.
You lost me when you said “over-stays can still get a green card”? Like how so??? They over stayed!!! Anyone who violates the duration of their visa loses the right to apply for anything to legalize their stay. Unless you condone those who marry for papers, which most Filipinos that are out of status are known for. It’s such a disgrace and utterly disgusting practice, but I guess for some whatever works right?!!🤮🤮🤮
I have a question, if I were illegally in the country of the Philippines I would be kicked out, right? Same as here in the U.S., if you are here illegally you should be deported, illegal is illegal.
I was able to stay in the US because I complied with their policies. No shortcuts. It was not easy but I thank God I was granted a (tourist) visa and it was through the legal means. Never had I ever abused it by breaking any law or doing anything illegal.
paano tayong affected ng pag-withdraw ng ng US sa Paris accord nag-withdraw ang US diya kasi clearly lugi ang US sa agreement na yan hinde sila pwede mag-drill ng oil and bibili and bibili na lang sila sa ibang country.
America is drilling its own oil instead of buying oil from other countries like what Biden did. That was what Pres Trump meant when he said …drill baby drill
I don’t understand why there’s a massive support for illegal migrants. It’s so unfair to those who’ve done it legally (including valid assylum seekers). If you don’t have the qualifications to enter legally, is that a valid justification to break the law? That’s like expecting everyone else to adjust to your situation, which is unfair. In life, not everything you desire is achievable. If I desire to have a brand new car but I don’t have the money and so I robbed a bank and bought the car I wanted, is that justifiable?
pinoy in America here. I support Trump's policies. America first. you came here illegally, you need to go. apply through proper means and follow like most of us
It’s best to leave now before they get caught because if ICE does find them they will be banned for life. Just do the right thing, go home and reconsider the next step which is apply legally, so when the time comes, they don’t have to keep looking behind their back.
Local laws are nevertheless bound to FEDERAL law. Federal law does NOT permit ILLEGAL immigration, regardless of whether "SANCTUARY CITIES" want to help the law breakers.
That's why a lot of us Filipino-Americans are mad at all the illegals because we had to jump so many hoops or dumaan sa butas ng karayom to come here legally and pay our taxes then someone just jump over the fence to come here and be treated like a special guest of honors, put up on hotels and given free food, lodging and medical habang kami ay magkakanda kuba sa pagtrabaho para may pang gastos. We love our new President Trump. MAGA.
Hi Karen, you must interview Jose Antonio Vargas your fellow journalist, a Pullitzer recipient and formerly an undocumented Filipino American himself regarding this U.S. Immigration Issue. He is in the best position to shed light on this matter. Hope to see you interviewing him soon to give your audience a True Perspective of what and how undocumented immigrants are for America. Thank you.
Its time for them to go home. No disrespect po but the TNT has unfairly availed the american employment system for so many years n not paying taxes while we the legal immigrants went thru all the legal requirements n we have paid our share of taxes every single year n thats unfair for us. Filipinos should come here via the legal ways n lumaban parehas po like us coz they might not have wealthy lives here but they send their income to the philippines n most of them have nice houses there.
Totoo yan. Ako dumaan sa butas ng karayom pra lang magka visa tapos ung ibang pinoy Hindi sila lumalaban ng patas.. at madami din dito mga illigal aliens na mga Spanish tapos driving without license pa.
An advice to over staying Filipinos. Stay away from criminal activities. They are righteous kind of people. They will reconsider you to stay if you're not a liability. Here in LA there's a branch of DMV that gives driver license to over staying immigrants. I know a lot of friends driving their cars although they overstayed. They are working they pay tax through 1091. As I said stay away from criminal activities in the first place.
Karen, please do not keep pushing Philippine people to do ANYTHING (suggesting things that are wayyyy off) to make their way to the US. There are laws which have to be followed.
It is utterly sad that this journalist was ill-informed. She could have easily done her research or better yet, asked the network’s legal analysts to find out if places of worship can legally provide sanctuary to undocumented individuals living in the U.S., rather than asking someone who doesn’t have any background in immigration law. The simple answer to her question is “No.” ICE or federal agents with a warrant can arrest illegal aliens regardless of where they are. Pastors and staff members of churches in sanctuary cities that provide refuge to undocumented individuals can be arrested, as the Immigration and National Act prohibits anyone from harboring individuals whom they are aware, are undocumented immigrants. However, that law is hardly enforced. More often than not, federal agents don’t even initiate an arrest, except in cases where undocumented individuals have outstanding warrants or are subject to deportation or removal. Sanctuary cities will not assist in any law enforcement operations that will lead to the detaining or arrest of individuals who are ordered to be removed by the Justice Department. The deportation process can be lengthy as it involves exhaustive litigation which includes appeals. Generally, some sanctuary cities like Seattle, Boston, L.A., and others, have policies and ordinances that shield individuals from getting deported. Nonetheless, these policies don’t have any legal backbone as federal laws take precedence over local laws, ordinances, and state laws. In other words, state attorneys general of sanctuary cities can Trump-proof their state but they can’t prevent deportation orders from the Justice Department.
Ibig sabihin nyan...kung Illegal ka.. Hindi ka Parte jan.. Hindi ka invited jan... Wala kang Rights jan.. Wala kang Boses jan... Di ka mahalaga jan... Nakiki-We ka lang jan kahit di ka kasali... UWI........😂😂😂

For y’all here who is glorifying this evil man, especially those who say that they worked hard for their naturalization, we call came here in the hope of a better life or to be united with family. . . .. we all have the same goal but not everyone is afforded the same journey. .. . . Rather than deportation, except for those who do commit crimes here, why not look for a path to citizenship? Why be so selfish to only want it for yourself? Would you not want this for a family member? To put this all in proper context, I am one who was given the opportunity to be naturalized and was given the way to do it . .. had to work hard to pay off my lawyer and went through the process . .. it was not easy but I did it . . .now just because this was my story, I will not pass judgment to others who were not as fortunate as I am . .. rather, I will wish that there is a way for them to achieve the same end goal .. . So no, its not black and white for me
Very simple, enter the US legally. Kahit anong country pa yan, JUST follow the rules. Tapos mag makaawa and even have the audacity to complain when deported. For those who's staying illegal, LEAVE!!!

We had to have THREE interviews in our country of origin (two with the entire family) with consular officials before we were approved and allowed to emigrate. I recall my parents say that the red tape was designed to discourage immigrants. I always thought it was hard to immigrate to the USA. I did not realize it became so EASY - just show up. That is just so WRONG. If we had a hard time, so should everyone else.

I dunno but this man is sketchy. Two months ago, Amy. Romualdez made a murky statement advising Filipinos with undocumented (or TNT) status to "immediately leave voluntarily because once you are deported you can never go back to the US." Hence, many kababayans have been on edge about this misleading info. Now, you are saying with more compassion and empathy that this group of Filipinos who've been here in the US for many years with their families and who have paid taxes, have certain human rights. And that there will be experts on this matter to assist them on their cases. I betcha a lot of the FilAm communities have complained against this rep with the way he "interpreted" the proper protocol prior to releasing such statement after Trump won the election.
Philippines should do the same kick all illegal foreigners living in the Philippines so there is room for pilipino citizens.bong bong is pro illegal immigrants
@@MeifooSunchuen He did NOT disclose the entire picture of what's happening here in the US that they are targeting those "illegal migrants with criminal records" who "illegally crossed the US border" - i.e. cartels, tran$national organized groups from other countries, etc. - terrorizing, assaulting, breaking into homes, murdering innocent people, and a whole gamut of harrowing crimes all across the US. Plus, the caravans of asylum seekers and what not who were promised "legal status" giving them priorities, debit cards, hotel accommodations by the power-to-be for political gain after a certain amount of time. A huge chunk of this specific group were granted some sort of legality but I heard now they are being sent back to their countries inspite of their brief legal stay. These are some of the complex and complicated circumstances the US are dealing at this moment. Phil journalists need to pivot on these matters, if they don't want to embarrass themselves and/or the news agencies. There is a strong disconnect between the reporters in the Phils and their lack of research to fact-check, understand and analyze true and valuable information prior to doing an interview. And for this so-called amb, the way he dropped the bomb telling Pinoys must go back home asap if you are undocumented...or else suffer the consequences!!! That is pure mainstream intimidation and bullying. I saw in the local news here our kababayans are in frantic fight-or-flight mode obviously because of this misleading statement. He jumped his gun hastily not thinking it through unless that was how they were briefed by upper echelon who knows. In my pov, this is how it blew up out of epic proportion. I know other nationalities, not only Pinoys, are triggered by this media mayhem. I see a lot of hateful and negative comments if you get here illegally, you need to get out. They went through the proper channel and patiently waited for many years, etc. I do respect many of their sentiments. We've been there, we've done that. My father fell under the TNT category many, many moons ago. We waited ten years before we saw him till we finally grasped that precious ticket to an American dream. He told us horrible stories of hiding in cabinets at work when the authorities dropped by un-announced. Imagine the unfathomable. By the grace of God, he got his papers all straightened out. Took a lot of guts to take the risk. He surpassed all the struggles and made it through. I am forever grateful because we made it here and established our citizenship. So I feel our fellowmen. It's not easy to survive in that kind of situation especially if you have mouths to feed. If you put your shoes in theirs, these individuals and or families, work so hard selflessly even if they earn minimum wage. They suck it all up to support their families in the Phils because they want better future for their children/family.
Dapat lang madeport. Ito yung problem kasi kaming gusto lang mamasyal eh di maapprove approve samantalang yang mga yan are taking advantage of their tourist visa. It's illegal and criminal
If I had the authority to issue an executive order, I would prioritize expediting the processing of family-sponsored visa applications that have been approved for more than 10 years. These applicants, particularly siblings of U.S. citizens, are likely to have earned at least a Bachelor's degree, supported financially by their siblings in the U.S. Many of them have also spent over a decade working while waiting for their visas. Accelerating this process would not only reunite families but also contribute valuable talent and resources to the U.S. workforce. Moreover, these individuals have been thoroughly vetted under the legal immigration system, making them a much more reliable and safer addition to the community compared to individuals who enter through the border or remain undocumented, potentially posing risks to American citizens. By prioritizing legal immigration, the government can uphold national security while addressing workforce needs.
That's another thing. To process paperwork to come here is even longer now because the system is so backlogged by all these millions of illegal aliens.
Go thru the legal way. Coming from the Philippines is not easy but at least those who done it legally is fair enough to be here. No short cut, and for those families who knows they have relatives that are TNT do not enabler them. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Those who are TNT, wag masyadong mayabang. Go home, come back when your papers are approved and legal.. Maraming ganyan..
Pag illegal kang pumunta ibig sabhn mali. So kung papalayasin na kayo wala kayong magagawa dhil una sa lahat mali ang pag stay nyo dyan. Mahirap ba intindihin un?

Daming pin0y jan TNT...kasali mga yan
Overstays or TNTs cannot have greencards unless they do it legally. They have to go home and process your papers and pay fees.
Exactly
You lost me when you said “over-stays can still get a green card”? Like how so??? They over stayed!!! Anyone who violates the duration of their visa loses the right to apply for anything to legalize their stay. Unless you condone those who marry for papers, which most Filipinos that are out of status are known for. It’s such a disgrace and utterly disgusting practice, but I guess for some whatever works right?!!🤮🤮🤮

paano tayong affected ng pag-withdraw ng ng US sa Paris accord nag-withdraw ang US diya kasi clearly lugi ang US sa agreement na yan hinde sila pwede mag-drill ng oil and bibili and bibili na lang sila sa ibang country.
Very good sir.could we get a valid adress for our records.

Meaning of ILLEGAL according to the dictionary …SOMETHING THAT IS FORBIDDEN BY LAW . An illegal is an illegal , period !
My parents waited 20 years to legally migrate. Work, pay taxes, and retire
We voted for trump because of his common sense policy

That's why a lot of us Filipino-Americans are mad at all the illegals because we had to jump so many hoops or dumaan sa butas ng karayom to come here legally and pay our taxes then someone just jump over the fence to come here and be treated like a special guest of honors, put up on hotels and given free food, lodging and medical habang kami ay magkakanda kuba sa pagtrabaho para may pang gastos. Thank you.
Mr..Ambassador, Popular votes are not the basis for getting elected as US President, the Electoral College is.
We cannot please everybody. Let’s just hope people will discern what the right things to do.
As I said stay away from criminal activities in the first place.
agree
Totally agree
Karen, please do not keep pushing Philippine people to do ANYTHING (suggesting things that are wayyyy off) to make their way to the US. There are laws which have to be followed.
Illegal means not autorize to stay permanent, "understand" and do not insist to stay if you do not have papers to stay - follow their LAW.
Pastors and staff members of churches in sanctuary cities that provide refuge to undocumented individuals can be arrested,
as the Immigration and National Act prohibits anyone from harboring individuals whom they are aware, are undocumented immigrants. However, that law is hardly enforced. More often than not, federal agents don’t even initiate an arrest, except in cases where undocumented individuals have outstanding warrants or are subject to deportation or removal.
Sanctuary cities will not assist in
any law enforcement operations that will lead to the detaining or arrest of individuals who are ordered to be removed by the Justice Department.

Hence, many kababayans have been on edge about this misleading info.

@@Tiglath-PileserXIX makes sense. A lot of Filipinos seek better job opportunities abroad and don't want to deal with so much corruption in the govt.
Breaking the law ... Breaking the law. Don't play if you can pay.
