Assyrian National Song : YIMMA ----- أغنية قومية آشورية : الأمّ

أغنية "الأمّ" تتكوّن من جزئين : الجزء الأوّل من تأليف الكاتب والصحفي الآشوري أداي ألخص، والجزء الثاني من تأليف الشاعر الآشوري الكبير يوسف بيت يوسف - والأغنية هي من التراث الآشوري القديم
This song is two parts. The first part is five stanzas written by Rabi Addai Allhas, the editor of the well known Assyrian journal Galgamish. It portrays the simple life of an Assyrian family that was shattered during WW1. The second part of the song is written by the great Assyrian poet Rabi Yosep Bet-Yosep, and it is three stanzas. The music is from an ancient Assyrian folk tune that he slightly modified to fit the meter of the poetry.
