      Star Trek is great. I watch it also. Here is the site for the old time radio Christmas episode of Sherlock Holmes. Make yourself a nice hot cup of tea and enjoy. Here is the site:ua-cam.com/video/_EUcwxmJqzk/v-deo.html

      Thank you, J&C. Crazy root is right. I will update on it and if anything roots for me. Winter is hard to root items in the basement. Fingers crossed. Enjoy a nice relaxing evening with a good book and a hot cup of tea while sitting in your favorite chair. Tom

      Wow! I bet that was one cool looking tree. Was it a very wide diameter on the trunk? I bet this was a nice marvel to see. Now to see if all goes well after the repot. Stay well, my friend and enjoy a nice relaxing cup of tea tonight. Tom

      @@CherieChi Cool! I bet you could do a short video on these bottle trees. Like a short clip. I bet you would get many views. I know I would be one of them. I wonder if you could do a video of the botanical garden. That would be interesting. Stay well and be safe and enjoy an evening tea, Cherie.

    Hey Tom, hope all is well. How are the trees/root cuttings looking now? Thanks for all you do.

      All is well. Thank you. Root cuttings did not produce. Probably no eye in it although one is still firm in the pot in full sun, yet fails to produce. The tree itself is growing just fine. I will have to show it on an update. Stay well and enjoy a nice relaxing cup of tea tonight. Tom

    The lipstick does work, but as a woman, can confirm, woody colours are hard to come by! But you're much more likely to find them if you look for "nude" shades, these are generally browns and beiges, which I think work a bit better for bonsai then hot reds 😂 Stay safe in this cold weather

      Fantastic idea on the color. My sister and niece always get them for me. They know the sales and where to get them cheap. I will let them know. I do have some brownish reds. I did use the glow in the dark lipstick that they sell for Halloween. Used that on the rose bushes a few years back. It was eerie to see the cuts glowing in the dark in the fall weather. I forgot to ask my niece this year for some to try on a cut. It would have been cool. Enjoy a nice relaxing evening sitting in your favorite chair with a good book and a cup of tea. Tom

    Instant Ocean brand Holdfast Epoxy sticks. Seachem, Fluval, Aquastick all make Aquarium safe epoxy sticks. It's a putty type stuff you kneed together to activate it and it sticks like JB weld does. That's a great little evil spirit catcher there!! I'm curious if the roots and cuttings will take too! Fingers crossed!

      I wrote it down this time. Thank you Marysol. I will update one way or the other if the roots and the cuttings root. At this time of the year, in the basement, it is a bit tricky. Fingers crossed like you said. Enjoy your cup of tea tonight. Tom

    • @growclipbonsaiforseniors1951
      @growclipbonsaiforseniors1951  7 місяців тому

      Nothing from the roots as of yet. I am giving them a bit more time to see what or if anything comes up. A few shriveled up. The thicker one is still there but nothing as of yet. If something does come, I will show it on a video. Stay well and enjoy a relaxing cup of tea tonight. I am having one now. Tom

      thanks for replying. The reason i ask is that i detached a sucker from the trunk of a bottle tree. For some reason the branch had grown into the ground and roots had formed. I have potted 17/4/24) the branch with the feeder roots to see how it goes. fingers crossed

      @@sashakeltane4763 Cool. Good luck I have to check my one cutting to see if anything happened. Hard for me in the basement with low light. I still can take a cutting in the spring or summer once it takes off. Roots though. Nothing.

    How did this tree go after this video? Did it survive? Did the cuttings or root cuttings grow? Interested because I live in Queensland, and have always been told that they respond badly to pruning and root disturbance. I hope that is incorrect, as I would love to bonsai one.

    • @growclipbonsaiforseniors1951
      @growclipbonsaiforseniors1951  5 місяців тому

      After the potting, the tree went dormant. Now it is growing just fine. Nothing on the roots growing. I have one piece of root outside with nothing so far, but still solid. I will show the tree in another video. Stay well and enjoy a relaxing cup of tea tonight. Tom

    Wow Tom, what a corkscrew tap root there my friend. Nice removal of that beast of a root. Looks like it grows kind of like a money tree. Good luck with that one my friend.

      @growclipbonsaiforseniors1951  11 місяців тому

      Thank you, Dave. It does look like the roots of the money tree. Those roots I removed, I planted them all just to see if anything will come from them. After pruning, from my research, this tree should sprout out branches fast, about 2 weeks. Fingers crossed. Stay well my friend and enjoy a nice relaxing hot cup of tea tonight to take the chill out of the bones. Tom
