How to know it's work or not
Tune frequency in b/w 20-200hz and place this circuit in room ...you will see mosquitos are driving away with this irretating sound
Dear Muftee, the RV1 is not adjust the frequency only, C1 R1 & R2 they have a balance to make the frequency, the duty cycle and the low-high duration.
In this case you need 90% High duration with 35 - 40 KHz frequency, of course the 555 can not do that so...you have to work with 45% high pulse AND may i suggest some violence?
Darlington transistor on the pin 3, inductor of 3.3 mH at 2 Ohms 1 Ampere for the load and PTW123 horn?

This Circuit produce can 25khz ....but you have to tune it using oscilloscope etc

Yes you can use
Is there any option to set frequency without using oscilloscope?
You may simulate the circuit on software environments such as LTSpice, Proteus etc. Those would workz with small margin of error.
