I love mablethorpe! If you haven’t been please do go it’s a lovely place ❤
Lovely place used to go there for the sand racing
Love Mablethorpe, we'll be there in a couple of weeks. 9.5 /10
9 out of 10! Much better than the last two. I’d go here if I could!
Great video. I live in Canada now but was born and grew up in Louth. This brought back memories of many day trips to Mablethorpe as a child ❤️
I am in my late sixties and grew up in Mablethorpe but havent been back there since about 1993. In the summer I went to sleep with the sound of the bingo and fairground and the smell of fried food and candyfloss drifting through the open window. Out of season it was the sound of the wind and the sea. The beach is glorious and kept clean. Everything looks familiar but thankfully spruced up a bit. Thanks for the tour. Brought back memories but do I miss the place. Unfortunately not.
Hello Neil are you well fantastic vidio of the seaside best wishes take care stay safe xx ❤😊
Thank you! You too!
10 out of 10 by the way.
AGreed
I used to go on family holidays here during the late 60s. Does anyone recall the man in the town centre who offered to take your picture with his monkey perched on your shoulder? Or the mannequin type cowboy you could draw guns with inside the amusement arcade? Happy childhood days at Mablethorpe. 😊
LOL....same here mate, early 60s, used to go in the Louth ph. too young to drink, my mum and dad used to sing the old war songs, well meet again and roll out the barrel etc.
Stayed at the tower cottages Admulty road, had the old gas lighting, used to go there every year for a two week holiday....Some times go there now for nastalga.....
I have a photo of my daughter with the monkey taken in 1979 😊
The cowboy used to say "Don't forget to cock the gun!"
Yes I remember the man with the monkey also the Kodak beach photographers with their striped jackets and the man dressed in a teddy bear costume that you could have your picture taken with.
Thanks for posting, reminds me of my childhood when I lived in the UK . We always used to go to Hayling Island. No, I don't think I'd visit all the way from Perth, Western Australia, but I love 'walking' around with you !
Well I can't believe that I have never been to Mablethorpe!!
What fabulous sandy beach, its certainly a place I'm going to visit.
Thankyou for showing us around 😊
Great video, wish I was there !
Thanks - great place isn't it
Nice video, just what I was looking for, never been there, and looking for somewhere to stay next year.👍🏻
Going here for the first time leaving from Scotland 5 hour journey,we have done Bridlington in East Yorkshire now decided to go further afield
😂you wouldn't believe it but I was walking the very same place just last week . We were there for a few days in our campervan and it really is a super area for beaches from Skegness to Cleethorpes . I absolutely love Mablethorpe and give it 10 out of 10 . Thanks for a superb video .
I like how you go all of england to smaller towns. And not just London.
Yeah deffo
I worked in Mablethorpe as a teenager on the dodgems and the big wheel its changed a lot since then and there where facilities here and there that may explain the porcelain flower pots and the gnomes from various B&B's. looks like it could all represent the passed owners of rides and hospitality folk! A kind of tribute/memorial
I went last year when I was on holiday in Skegness, a lovely day out, nice walk around the shops and then along the front on both sides. The front is a great place to have fish and chips, great view.
Can't beat seaside fish and chips!
Nice thanks for sharing 🇬🇧❤️❤️🎊🎊👍👍✅👍👍
Thank you too
I love this town I’ve visit it 5 times this year and my goal is to move within the next 2 years
Great place
Thank you so much, awesome tour as always! Could you do a tour of the Southbourne area in Bournemouth as well?🥰
I enjoyed your video and yes I would pop over for the day when I’m staying in my caravan in ingoldmels. I watched a few of these videos (not all yours) and I find them useful, but just wondering if it would be a good idea to show people where the car parks are. Keep up the good work.😊
I have just been to Mablethorpe for a few day's and enjoyed it, 10 on points
Been many years since I've visited but have to say it looks great and think I need to visit once more 9/10
Spent many weeks of my childhood here. Purely as my grandparents retired here. I have to say Mablethorpe had got very, very, tired and tatty looking by the late 80's when we sadly lost my grandad so once sold up we simply never came back. The town had by then succumbed to the deluge of the the much cheaper package holidays to Benidorm and the like causing visitors to dwindle sometimes almost to nothing. But its nice to see it survived. Its still very ahem "budget" - Hey! C'mon we used to affectionally call it Mabledump! And your appraisal of it being "traditional" is spot on. But whereas I enjoyed this short trip down memory lane I am sadly not inspired to venture back, even after all these years. Unlike your vids to Looe and Polperro (another childhood hols destination) as they both still look just as gorgeous today and I am very tempted to visit again. Sorry Mabledump.... you, even in the sun, look a tad shabby.
But there is one thing no one can take away from Mablethorpe, as shown in all its glory in this very vid, and that is its beach is simply magnificent!
Just got back from mablethorpe! It does need some investment but the beach is brilliant, just everything seems to close around 4! Just one arcade open!
I love mablethorpe pace is not as hectic as ingoldmells or skeg! I camp here each year in September, love the pubs resteraunts and cafes and just the right amount of shops. My main eating plave was always daves diner , the best food around ask the locals! I give it 10 stars. Oh yes and its easy travelling distance to sutton on sea, chapel st leonards and skeggy!
It's a lovely seaside place. Me and my family went here a few years back and stayed and stayed at Golden Sands we had a fab timd
Great stuff - I love Mablethorpe
Thanks for a great video I really enjoyed it the beach looks lovely and clean I'll give it 8out of 10.hope you ok
Never been here, Skegness, clean plenty to do, loads of food places ,9 out of 10
We love it there. The beach is a corker and when the sun shines there aren’t many family resorts that are better. When my kids were younger we went on day trips regularly, happy memories. The best chippy by the way is down the side street next to the rock shop on the high street ;-). Love the films you make. Is Sherringham on the cards?
Sheringham coming up!
There's a couple of Sheringham on my channel if you look too that I filmed before
Lovely🍀
Thank you! 😊
It's some years since I've been to Mablethorpe and I wouldn't mind going again. Please could you film Hunstanton, it's lovely round that whole area.
Ooh yes good idea - Will put it in my plans now! Thank you - watch this space!
I have never been to Mablethorpe, but what you have shown me looks really good and for that reason, i will give it 10 out 10.😊
Thank you so much! Hope you are well
Another great & fantastic video of MABLETHORPE | Full seaside beach and town tour can i suggest Minster on sae in Kent!.👍👍💚💚
Great idea
We were there last month for a few days. Really enjoyed it 😁 by
Great video. I haven't been to Mablethorpe in years and have forgotten how big the beach was.
Yeh it's big isn't it! Always takes me by surprise every time I go!
It's more than 35 years since I last visited Mablethorpe. There was an Arnold Palmer crazy golf park beside the ramp up to the beach. Looks like it's a brick and paving path now. I don't recognise anywhere.
As it’s where we used to have our week’s holiday every year as a kid I want to give it 10 out of 10 for sentimental reasons. Trying to look objectively however, I’d give it a solid 8/10. You can’t beat the beach at Mablethorpe and I’d say it actually looks better now than I remember it many a year ago (the exception being the Spanish City outlet which looks rather shabby). I hope you finished with fish and chips from Salty’s, the best chippy in Mablethorpe!😋
Hi Neil, thanks for another great coastal video. As you didn't mention it in your comments, I'm assuming that you failed to notice the guy on the beach creating a full size horse sand sculpture? Have a look at 5 minutes in 😁😁
Went here 30+ years back with a lovely lady who i should have married but didn't.Hey-ho,we had a fun couple of weeks!
That sounds like a story with lots more detail ha ha!
A few years ago you did a video tour of Mablethorpe. During the video, a female vocalist sang a great song. She had a wonderful voice and I am trying to locate that video. Can you help me find it. Thanks.
7/10
Did you get the fish and chips from Saltys (where you passed just before the end)? Always get them from there if in Mablethorpe. Fish cooked to order as it should be and always good.
Saltys is the best!😊
Used to work in Mablethorpe down at the Golden Sands holiday park. Great little seaside town. As a suggestion how about having a walk around Ingoldmells? Only down the road from Mablethorpe 👍🏻
On the way this weekend!
Aww missed you yesterday my friend spotted you
Ah really! They should have said hello!
I went to Mablethorpe many many years ago, I think I was about 16 at the time, we stayed in a caravan park, I wonder if it is still there. Don't remember much of the beach as it rained most of the time. I would probably give it 7 out of 10. Would be interesting to see you do a video of Westward Ho! that has certainly changed in my estimation.
Gosh - what day was this ? I came here last Thursday - a week ago today and it was dead, half of the shops etc were closed , hardly anyone on the beach - is this from the weekend ?
Yeh I think so - I think I put the date at the start - could have been a bank holiday
The council should use a snow plough to get the sand off the walkway and back onto the beach it is hell for wheelchair users and people with mobility issues
I grew up 20 minutes drive from Mabo. A nicer place than Skeggie IMO
I don't think I been to Mablethorpe, unless it was about 1 or 2 , I would have not know
It's a fun place on the right days
10
❤️
Where r the nearest toilets to the beach.. i have IBS and diabetes
There are a couple of blocks of toilets at strategic points along the beach. When I visited this summer you had to pay to use one set but the set further along the beach going north was free.
It makes Cleveleys look sexy and edgy in comparison.I last visited Mayblethorpe in 1984 it wasn't up to much then, its gone downhill since.
Oooh not been to Cleveleys in a while - might have a look next week actually
@@GimbalWalkTV The Star Wars series Andor had scenes filmed on the front. The Towers Woodland is a small park with a duck pond near the town centre.
Mablethorpe is in near the Miami beach.
Am I correct?
Yeh correct!
My sister has lived their for many years with her 2 kids, the beech is decent but that's the only good thing about the place
