What? They interrupted the match with that whistle like 4 times. Then all of a a sudden someone won? But they didn’t even get to wrestle? Wtf!
I believe you get a point for every takedown. Just guessing, it's maybe three out of five points? You are hardly going to allow the contestants to continue to wrestle on the ground, pushing each other's faces into the sand, for example. This is, I suppose, safer than wrestling on a mat, and certainly less exhausting. The wrestlers don't need all the safety equipment, nor the extensive training. More average guys and gals can take part.
You wouldn't like sumo.
