definitely, although I still laugh stupidly about "through the bed's EYES" after the 20th episode 🥴 another funny moment "it's bed 9's job to get him to the theater on time" - I instantly pictured a nurse berating the bed for being late 🤣
I know this wasn't one of the stories on here, but i once saw a story about a little girl who had a condition that she was in pain 24/7. She couldn't even stand for a cover to touch her. It took the strongest pain meds to ease her pain. She was crying out in pain. Yet here i am complaining about chronic pain.
You know I saw that condition and a young 20-year-old man on another A&E medical program and he gets to the point that he just passes out because the pain is excruciating. I know I have fibromyalgia and increased in my bedsheet feels like a rope but at least there’s medication that deals with that Type of pain but this type of pain that you’re talking about it’s unbelievable. And we’re allowed to complain about our pain, sure it’s not what they have but it’s pain nevertheless to us so don’t feel bad about it.
I much prefer watching the British medical shows to our American shows; most of the medical professionals and patients are far more congenial and even in emergency situations things are much more calm and not as chaotic.
I’m up here in Canada and I agree with you though at times I’ve had a great experience in our ER but then I’ve had some really bad ones as well. On August 15/24, which is in three weeks. I have to go in for double bypass open-heart surgery and I’m a type one diabetic for the past 53 years. And I don’t know what to expect and I am frightened like crazy. well, this will be my 22nd surgery and this is the one I’m most afraid of.
Yeah, the doctors and nurses too. I guess that's what happens when patients don't have to worry about becoming bankrupt from a simple hospital visit and doctors and nurses aren't working like slaves to pay off their school loans.
Me too. And the editing and narration of it was so abrupt. I like 24 hours in A & E better in that sense, because when the patients have sad news, it’s handled much more delicately.
I love these videos !! Being American it's something times hard to understand like Rubin's mom I didn't understand anything she said. Little Rubin is darling 💖 Blessing for all the children and parents. OCT 2021
So I have 2 questions? Is this really real or are they just dramatizing this? Which arm did the boy dislocate his elbow playing sports? At start his left arm is in a sling at 12:14 it is the right arm in a sling and 12:34 it is the left arm in a sling. So which is it right or left?
Its his left arm but yes I did see what you were talking about. I think it was just a camera or editing glitch, because these are actual real life and are not actors.
@@NS-gf8ne I was a month late and my mom was 33 at the time and it was fine. I think hospitals just don't like waiting and want as little risk for complications as possible, so it's not that it can't be done, they'd just rather not.
@@FufieLiz just because some end up fine does not mean that the risk is not higher. It's their job to help minimise the risk. People would be complaining very loudly if medical staff were doing otherwise. You want them to put their patients lives in danger just because some people end up fine? For every day over the risk increases so of course they would rather not wait. Personally, knowing the stas for such things I'd rather not wait either. And remember that we will not have been told the full medical details of the case so how are we to know what this particular patient's individual risk is?
Older mom, previous c section, don't want the baby to grow to big. So three days not so bad. Remember they tried induction first. It did not work so they had to go to c section to keep her low risk. Better chance of speedy recovery to if you don't let it drag on. Try watching 'one born every minute' it has alot more insight into decision making process for pregnant women.
Is Reuben four or six? I thought I heard the narrator say four in the beginning and then six later on. Also, I know they have to sift through and edit hours worth of footage, but many times in this series things have been edited out of sequence, e.g. oxygen on and then oxygen off and Charles, the man with the abdominal pain, had his trousers on then he had them off then he had them on and then he had them off again. Otherwise, this is a very entertaining series and offers a unique perspective in that it shows cases through the "eyes" of the hospital bed, something other series don't do. Thank you for uploading it.

Well here where I live my dr came to my house after he was done for the day. He had removed a cyst from my face and on his way home he stopped by and checked it out and put new bandages on. And that's here in the USA. While it has faults its still the best in the world. And I am aware there are issues!! But I sure wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
Its a vape and he wasnt smoking it. Just holding it. Likely a comfort thing. Im 44 and remember in my teens when anyone could smoke in the hospitals. Weird
When my younger brother used one, he said it was like a pacifier & most of the time he wasn't paying attention to it & what he did with it. So thankful he quit. Our older brother died from the COPD & his cigarette smoking... sad.
@@tamaraj4200 I have been in and out of the hospital for decades. Rare has been the time that I had a two bed room. I have not seen one of these since the 1960s lol!
If we could switch places I'd prefer to be able to swap around and I'd be there and the kid out of there and better. I don't like seeing kids hurt and innocent. Sad.
Why do they keep the maternity patient in her own clothes and pants seems so different from the us. They want you ready if anything happens, and why mess up your own clothes.

Whoever thought of making a documentary about hospital beds is a genius!! The magic of seeing a new life enter the world has never failed to amaze me.

This series shows so much compassion.
The old couple in the later end video were so adorable and such a lovely grannies.
So sorry to hear about Charles' diagnosis. I hope he has many happy years ahead of him.
I love how even the medical professionals call the stomach a ‘tummy’ !!
Wonderful baby’s birth. Great elbow back in. Great slow dancers. Love the hospital videos.

So all the hospital in Britain have open rooms with six to eight beds?

Well im sure the private hospitals wouldnt be like that. They have curtains as room dividers though.
