Packed with loads of wholesome ingredients, this green dressing could also be called a green goodness dressing! I use it for almost everything as it’s not just for salads, but it’s excellent as a dip as well.

It's so versatile. Make it a big thicker and it's a dip, make it looser, and it's a dressing. So cool
Exactly! You totally get it 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Stems of parsley are flavorful, just chop them up a wee but smaller and it’ll blend fine.
Thank you for this recipe! I've been recreating the Panera green goddess toasted baguette at home and the Good & Gather Green Goddess dressing is not cutting it.
Okay Mister Mister, two years later and I'm making your delicious Green Goddess Dressing!
It is a Green Dressing - but the original Green Goddess had Anchovy Fillets and used Tarragon - instead of basil and cilantro, It also used Mayo instead of Greek Yogurt. It is a beautiful Green Dressing that you have, and I am sure it tastes delicious - but the original Green Goddess originated in San Francisco at a restaurant that Duncan Hines visited as a traveling journalist and food critic in the 1940s. It was popularized by Trader Vic's - who used the same recipe from a Duncan Hines recipe book - and sold his restaurant name to the Hilton company - which put Trader Vic's in all their hotels. By the 50s everyone had heard of the dressing - and by the 60s there were a million different variations on the theme. The ingredients were finely chopped and added to mayo - and the original Green Goddess did not look very green - and needed to be refrigerated for a few hours to bring out and blend the flavors together.
Appreciate how you complimented first, but mostly educated us all.
Exactly right.
His dressing sounds yummy. Green Goddess dressing it is NOT!
This looks amazing! Thank you.
My pleasure!
I agree about the blender. I have the same one. My older one works better. Yum
I’m a little surprised that you didn’t use a standard food processor.
a good blender is a game changer. that guy is not doing the job 🤣
Is there anything i can sub for greek yougurt vecause i cant have dairy
Wow., nice 😋 xoxo
Thank you! 🙏🏻
👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Nothing wrong with the blender
Great for pasta noodles as a pesto I say.
That looks good to put it ontop of a steak
For sure! Great idea
Yum!! After being obssessed with Panera's Green Goddess dressing I'm finally making my own! Can't wait to try this dressing out
Fantastic!
My two cents: If you chop the parsley and cilantro stems finely they'll break down in the blender much better, and the stems have a ton of flavor in them. Great recipe though, thanks for posting.
This is an amazing dressing! I've made three batches so far, for my most recent I added a chopped avocado (half) to make it extra creamy. You are so right about wanting to eat it by the spoonful - I enjoy it as a dip with lightly salted tortilla chips. Thank you for sharing this easy but delicious recipe! 😀
Believe it or not Green Goddess is yummy on steak.
The vitamix doesn’t suck, you need to use the tamper tool for thicker mixes. It comes with literally every model……
The color of that dressing is beautiful! It might actually be a contender for a paint color I'm deciding on for one of my rooms! Great video....I like the little mishaps. They make cooking shows more relatable. I hate it when everything is "perfect" because real life certainly isn't. Thanks for all the info, loved it!❤
So happy to hear that! It truly is a beautiful color 😀 And I agree with you, life is filled with little accidents and sometimes those accidents make the meal even better than if everything went perfect. Have a great rest of your week!
Your recipes looks amazing. I’ve seen others make it, but there is something missing. But just seeing the ingredients you used, I know this will be amazing. 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks so much! I hope you love it!

thanks for the video and great recipe, also thanks for leaving in all the bluper moment's, made me smile😊
Vitamix provides with every blender a specialized tamper which goes in the top of the lid. So you don't have to be pulling out a spatula.
1/2 of olive oil is a ridiculously large amount. While olive oil is healthy, more than 3 TBSP still creates the same health concerns that regular oil does. Not to mention nearly 1000 calories of just oil and made roughly 2 servings only.
My husband and me will take that blender off your hands if you don’t want it
Haha well that was my friends blender or else I would give it to you!
This is great for midsummer when all the herbs are coming in good.
Totally agree!
I had forgotten all about green goddess dressing. I can’t wait to try this recipe!
It’s so easy to forget about but it’s truly magical!
I love this recipe one of my favorite green goddess recipes ❤❤❤❤
You need to start with light weight items first then add heavier items. Oil and Greek yogurt should go last.
This is my first time seeing your video and love it! Thank you for showing how cooking can sometimes be…an imperfect process. Yet, you make do and at the end…yummmy! Also, Love your attitude! I’m definitely subscribing to your channel. Many thanks! 💕
You are the first person to ever say they hate their vitamix... seems like you don't know how to use it, just add a bit of water, as you said at the end. I mean, the whole video is too chaotic. forgot the s&p, the whole yogurt scooping, the spatula. You should have remade it. This is poor content. Other videos of yours are much better.
It was the spatula mishap that caused the immediate subscribe for me
Haha whatever it takes! 🙌🏻
Anyone have tips on how to make it a bit liquidier?
You're killing me, you're so funny that dressing looks really good
Haha thank you!
@@cookingwithcoit you're welcome 😊
Dude buy a new blender asap this thing don't even pulse lol! lol!
Yes we really need to buy you a new blender but the dip looks fantastic and it goes real well with your potato wedge and chicken tender👍👍👍👍😋🥂 and by the way we do that with a cucumber also😋
The cucumber makes it! 🙌🏻
Looks delicious!!! What non-dairy yogurt do you recommend? Also you need a Ninja Blender way better in my opinion . Love all your videos 🙌
Thank you! I like Kite Hill's yogurt for a non-dairy option. I am going to be testing out a new Ninja style blender that looks pretty good. I will let you know how the test comes out!
Yes! I love my ninja it never fails me
I don't have a blender just the Nurto Bullet?
Thank you for using Greek yogurt
Sorry I was quite inactive because of my exams but now im backkk!!!!!! Im going to try this 'chutney' with chicken kebabs today, I know it will turn out awesome but still I will review it later🥰🤩
We missed you! Welcome back 🙌🏻
@@cookingwithcoit as expected it was delicious 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺tysmmmmm 💙🥺
Worth the wait💙
how long does this last in the fridge?
Don’t expose our secrets Coit
I love how natural he is and he's having fun with it.
How long does it keep?
Not your day
🤔 idk why, but I thought there was avocado in this dressing 🤷♀️
One of my favorite dressings. Looks delicious.
👍👌
That's a good start, but you left out the avocado, which, by definition, it should have.
Looks absolutely amazing 😍
Thank you so much!
Put your herbs in first then the rest of the ingredients that might work best
Is that the correct cup for liquid ingredients?
Appreciate the realness 😂! Can’t wait to try!
How long does it store in the fridge?
Every video for green goddess dressing is soooooo different 😊
Just what I was looking for! Thank you!
Any suggestions for yogurt if one is Vegan?
You could use a vegan yogurt from a brand like Kitehill
@@cookingwithcoit thank you!👍😊
No anchovies???
I only like anchovies in my Caesar salad dressing :)
YUM!!!
Thank you!
That is not green goddess dressing. Just because it’s green doesn’t make it right, nice try!
forgot the anchovies
Woooh anchovies are a bit too much for me but I respect the idea!
@@cookingwithcoit anchovies are a "bit much?" must explain why most of your recipes look super bland.
@@maximegrossman2146do you really needed to be this rude?
Just get ninja food processor neutral bullet blender all in one it works great for me
