Some Tipps: ca. 10 Uniforms for one Squad Send Reservists to all Settelments that have under 4 or 5 full Police Squads and Build these Squads to get Order Established ( you can see that if you hover over a city) Give your Army proper Uniforms so there are better protected and dont die so fast Establish a Standard Infantry gun and start producing that with Ammo (your Soldiers shoudn't fight with Mosins or other crap) Assign the Scopes in the Research tab to the weapons
To up stability, I’ve learned alcohol and making every city says “law and order established” instead of “police squads needed to maintain order” are the most important. I went from averaging 10-15% stab to high 40s after doing that
Does anyone know if stability affects production efficiency? My save game seem to have been changed in the past two updates (since 0.8). My stability seems to be almost always stuck at 0 maybe due to me claiming new settlements. Then next thing I realise my bread reserve dropping like a fly going from 28k down to 0. Despite owning like 8 wheat fields and 11 bakeries then I noticed my production efficiency is always between 7%-11% which probably explains why I’m constantly struggling to produce enough food (which I’ve noticed annoyingly does affect the AI). So my question is how does one break of out this cycle as I suspect my current cycle is stuck in a vicious dead loop that I can’t seem to break out of as I’ve tried deleting battalion and deleting residential buildings to lower food consumption, creating enough police squads to provide law and order to increase stability, constantly building bakeries but doesn’t seem to help as the production efficiency is broken. Any one good any ideas?
@ check and see if you have anybody working in said bakeries, you can tell if you have a negative worker reserve when you try to construct a new building, not sure of the exact wording of it but you get the idea
@ ah yea I think I’ve seen that before but never really paid attention to it. So what’s the solution? Build residential housing to increase population?
@@therealolms5095 I checked my operating reserve is at -4192 LOL. Instead of building all those bakeries I should have been building residential housing instead and with those the population takes time to buildup too… I have no idea how many I’ll need to build nor how long it’ll take for it to catch up… this game… lol
This game sorely needs naval gameplay features, stat! Otherwise it'll be like Empire Total War and its' cousin Napoleon Total War to an extent (because there were never port battles where you could offload troops into rowboats far away but enemy defences and coastal artillery batteries are still in range; followed by 18th century beach hand to hand charges)
I'll help with what knowledge I have regarding the game. I'm fairly new so still learning stuff, but some things: Creating police squads as garrisons in towns can help improve stability over time. Likewise having commodities in those towns- like food and cigarettes and alcohol. To send the commodities to the town you need to use the resource tab, select an amount, and send to -the town you want. This is the same for forces. You can see what stuff a force needs by hovering over it on the map. At least before the most recent update, it seems like it was bugged where if you didn't send the full amount the force needs of something to them, that item's need wouldn't go down. It's a fair bit easier to manage a few doomstacks than a bunch of small forces, but because you only get so much that can spawn in on a battle, you can sometimes end up trying to assault somewhere that just loses a big stack if not careful. As far as I can tell, the squad editor allows you to choose the equipment for a squad of a particular type. Though you need to select the gear for each member in the squad individually, including whether the squad comes with a vehicle. If you don't actually *have* something that the squad selection indicates for the squad, it seems to default instead to basic gear for that slot. However, if you have a lot of something, this is how you put it to use in the field; you can 'retrofit' the gear of a force with the resupply icon, but any gear it already has that's better then gets downgraded (you still have the other gear, but it's traded out on the troops). Why the game doesn't only show selection choices you do have, I don't know... but maybe someday in the future, here's hoping. Same regarding supply convoys. It would really help if you could just type in how many you want to send rather than use a slider that often won't go for the exact amount you need. Third thing is that the game is ...well, a fair bit 4x strategy. Though it takes months/years of in-game time, you're basically expected to build up your economy by building buildings that will help you produce goods you need rather than needing to trade for them. But early on, you'll need to trade for the things you need to build them. If, early game, you condense your forces, which tend to need alcohol (made from wheat in a distillery) and cigarettes (made from tobacco) and canned food (made from meat), you may actually see less needed by one big stack than several smaller ones. To build buildings, you need stone and wood planks. Stone can be harvested directly with a quarry, while wood planks come from logs - both which need a separate building to produce. There are also some other buildings that are highly valuable. An iron production plant (which seems to require capital cities to build?), aluminum plant, and bank. The metals are needed for a lot of military gear, including vehicles, ammo, and suchlike. The latter produces money for you, which can be used to trade (in addition to what money your economy produces). All are incredibly valuable and as long as your food situation isn't dire, are safe bets as the first building to start working on in a given run. Later on, residential buildings increase the population, which means more workers over time, which also means more soldier reserves down the line. That's not first priority though. With the early blitz of capturing land like you've done, there's pleeenty of room to build. I'm more or less in agreement that the RPG unlocks are probably first priority. Armored vehicles can absolutely wreck your day without them. Distributing them to your troops happens with the squad editor- though again, it isn't right away, they need to do a resupply after and need to be the type of force indicated. Different factions have their own unique unlock trees. So the gear you can eventually obtain will be different from other factions, and if you specifically want something you don't produce, you'd need to trade for it. Ammo that is needed by your starting squads can be produced by your starting military factories from the get-go, even if you don't have any of a needed ammo type right away. If you upgrade your weapons through the tech tree, they may need ammo you con't produce right away that also need to be unlocked. Hope all this helps. :)
Yo Daly! Long time lurker, just gotta say I’m always impressed at how you manage to keep the conversation and coverage of whatever you’re playing consistent and fun. Me, whenever I’m playing a game (by myself) I get super quiet and just laser focus. It would be so boring to watch in comparison 😂
23:38 I gues the AI is bugged out because it is an island nation and sending their armies to march on your cities by land instead of going by naval invasion.
what the devs need to do is just cut the 70% of the resource management temporarily i.e. just have rations, (generic) Small arms ammo, vehicle ammo, 1 morale / stability item, (Generic)Rifle , 1 troop carrier, 1 APC, 1 Tank, 1 Artilery, 1 Helo, 1 boat. they then can focus on making the squad editor and AI in game work to a decent degree before going and adding complexity. They have a fantastic framework and this is a change that can be done in roughly (depending on game engine and skill) 90 - 120 man hours. i think if they focused down like this they could draw so many people to the game
Why are most people complain about the squad editor? It's fairly simple to use. Just don't use the standard squads, define your own and use them... Getting the troops across: Just divide the battalions into smaller ones that fit into the transports. You're holding the port city, just create a new battalion, leave the city, exchange troops with the named battalions and embark on the transports. Once across, merge the named battalions back. Really simple, if you think about it.
It’s a bit of a steep learning curve as it’s not the most intuitive way of creating a squad I guess. Def took me many hours to nail down how it works. Logically most ppl’s first thought won’t be deleting squads and creating new ones. Also the system still has its issues such as if I had a spec ops squad with M4A1 and FAL but in another army I use other weapons such as SKS and VAL etc but I still want to create a spec ops squad for the heavy armour then when I resupply the first aforementioned squad I’d have to go back into the squad editor and switch back everything to its original gear setup before reloading. So it’s a bit tedious to say the least but I guess that’s kinda the common theme with most of the issues in the current Beta state of the game. As well as lack of info with stats regarding vehicles, AI unbalanced with seemingly not being affected by food consumption but they seem to be affected by money limit when it comes to trading in the market.
@skyz84 Deleting squads and rebuilding them is pretty much the first thing I do. Call me weird, but I like my troops to have a uniform loadout. As for the different equipment: Just use a variation in the name of the squad, like Spec Ops W for Western arms and Spec Ops E for Eastern arms. No need for changes in the Squad editor every time, and you know what to expect in a battle.
@@michaelschneider3903how do you create your own loadout? From the battalion page? I recall there’s an edit/rename button somewhere does that then register it as a new “class” in the squad editor?
