- Hello everyone! In today's video, we'll be thrifting aesthetic and affordable home decor finds from Goodwill. So many of you enjoyed my collaboration with Liz Besanson and were amazed by all of the minimalist and mid-century vintage thrift finds we sourced for each other. I wanted to take you along with me to two of my local Goodwill locations to see the types of home decor accents/accessories and home goods that I seek while shopping at my favorite thrift stores.
This is a budget-friendly haul! The pieces that I'm showing totaled $20 before tax which is incredibly affordable for these eclectic pieces.
I upcycled one of the pieces by spray painting it to fit into my home decor aesthetic so be sure to keep an open mind while sourcing these your own inexpensive finds!
Marble bookends, candlestick holders, glassware, and statues - we're doing it all! Thrifting has become one of my favorite ways to cut costs when decorating all while sourcing one-of-a-kind, unique, and affordable decor for the home.

It is such a rush! Especially when the shelves are piled high with new finds 🤩 I thought the glasses were super unique myself, I’m glad you liked them too!
I would put succulents and white rocks in those whiskey glasses. I don’t drink either, like a burro tail and let it grow out and down.

Thank you so much, Debra! I appreciate the compliments 🤩 thrifting surely is addictive, I had. I idea just how hooked I would become but now I have the sudden urge to visit a thrift store any opportunity I get. I think for me, it’s knowing I can continuously filter beautiful pieces into my collection and not feel guilty as most aren’t all that expensive. Where as even HomeGoods is a bit more of a stretch as the $21 I spent on all the items in this video would be well over $150 there.
BEAU!!!! Where do I begin?! I feel like a proud thrift momma here. I am literally shook at those finds not surprised at all by your keen eye for pulling them in front of camera! The metal candle holder, those slanted glasses, marble bookends oh my!! And you left behind that west elm vase?! Ahhhh! Go back and get it lol! Well, this was very well done. Oh, how I have the thrift bug now 😆 thank you for expanding my horizons, even before our collaboration, and showing me the potential that lies behind the door of a Goodwill in terms of home decor sourcing! It’s very rare as you know, to go in and find a handful of pieces all at once like this. I made sure to explain that after seeing all of the comments left on our channels - it’s definitely a talent that has to be worked upon! I don’t know what I was thinking or how I could have left that west elm vessel behind 😩 I’m glad you enjoyed these finds. I appreciate you for always being so gracious, my friend 🤍

The viewers just love the camera going in and showing them what’s there as many don’t have access to a GW or thrift shop..especially at our prices on the Eastcoast so it is a thrill to watch. Heck, I still watch thrifting videos myself, there’s something about the element of surprise when you see what people find and that is the magic of these type videos. 🤍
LOVE the marble bookends. And I agree with the color of the empire state building - I actually like the original color

So many years ago I lived in Eastern Canada, I started thrifting probably out of sheer boredom. It was cold and I didn't know anybody so I just went shopping. Lo Early on I bought a blue and white platter that I just loved for about $10. I loved it so much that I started keeping eye out for more. Over several years I had acquired a little collection, dinner plates, cups, etc. Turns out it was a highly collectible design called Blue Willow and the items were actually expensive being antiques. Fast forward ten -fifteen years later the blue and white trend really caught on. The new stuff at stores is beautiful but mass produced, there is something to be said about the unique quality of antique and many vintage pieces.

The glassware in the Goodwill’s around here would NEVER be as appealing as the ones that you found. Thrifting around here is sucky. The prices are also horrible! I love the stuff that you found!

Me too, Michelle! I have so many clear crystal glass objects and decor accessories. Perfect for winter but also very chic in the every-day 🙏🏼✨ I was so quick to grab the marble bookends. I have quite a few sets but these were a perfect addition to my collection!

Love your finds. I loved Those coasters you passed on in marble. I pick up things like that to use under other items to elevate them a bit. And those diamond glasses would make adorable succulent terrariums. It wouldn’t hurt them so they could be totally used as glasses again some day. You do have a very good eye for things. I thought I was the only one who keeps different vignettes from GW on standby for rotation. One of my fav times to go is end of the semester at the local college. I have found some of the best original art-or nit so great art in fabulous frames-for next to nothing! Love the thrill of the thrift!!

Omg, Beau! When I saw that vase I thought...I have the same one I found at the thrift store and then when I heard you say my name...I had to do a double take!!!! The marble bookends are fabulous. I have the same smoke candlesticks too. You are so right about having to go to multiple thrift stores to find great home decor. I don’t drink either but those faceted glasses are fab. I would drink my OJ from them. 🍊 It’s amazing what a little spray paint can do to make a piece go from “dud” to “stud”! You found some great pieces. ❤️

I love thrifting. Discovered this passion for over 5 years now. And my husband and I have found some amazing pieces from home decor and furnishings to clothing❗️My hubby came across an authentic Burberry Men’s coat for $14.99 and bought it, of course. 😌 I’ve found and bought Tory Burch sun glasses, Jimmy Choo handbag, Gucci and Louis Vuitton cosmetic bags all authentic and my list goes on. 🥰 Hubby also came across a pair of authentic Louis Vuitton Men’s shoes for $4.99. He turned around and sold it for over $500.
After watching this, I’m itching to now. But it’s later in the day and it’s really best to go when they open. So tomorrow we’ll plan to go to our favorite thrift store(s) and see what treasures we can find❣️☺️

It’s definitely quite an experience! Go in with an open mind and make sure to really access each piece. It’s a playground filled with treasures but you have to patiently search them out ☺️

There was a time I turned my nose up at Thrift Stores until my husband introduced me to flea markets. I caught the thrifting bug and have enjoyed looking for treasurers ever since. As an avid reader those bookends caught my eye, what a find. 😍. Today I stopped by thrift store on my way home and was able to find four irregular martini glasses. 🤗 That’s all I found, maybe next time I’ll find candle sticks. 😁. Thank you for all you do.
