I idea just how hooked I would become but now I have the sudden urge to visit a thrift store any opportunity I get. I think for me, it’s knowing I can continuously filter beautiful pieces into my collection and not feel guilty as most aren’t all that expensive. Where as even HomeGoods is a bit more of a stretch as the $21 I spent on all the items in this video would be well over $150 there.
I love thrifting. Discovered this passion for over 5 years now. And my husband and I have found some amazing pieces from home decor and furnishings to clothing❗️My hubby came across an authentic Burberry Men’s coat for $14.99 and bought it, of course. 😌 I’ve found and bought Tory Burch sun glasses, Jimmy Choo handbag, Gucci and Louis Vuitton cosmetic bags all authentic and my list goes on. 🥰 Hubby also came across a pair of authentic Louis Vuitton Men’s shoes for $4.99. He turned around and sold it for over $500. After watching this, I’m itching to now. But it’s later in the day and it’s really best to go when they open. So tomorrow we’ll plan to go to our favorite thrift store(s) and see what treasures we can find❣️☺️ Love every piece you found and brought home Beau❗️Love how the candle holder turned out! So many years ago I lived in Eastern Canada, I started thrifting probably out of sheer boredom. It was cold and I didn't know anybody so I just went shopping. Lo Early on I bought a blue and white platter that I just loved for about $10. I loved it so much that I started keeping eye out for more. Over several years I had acquired a little collection, dinner plates, cups, etc. Turns out it was a highly collectible design called Blue Willow and the items were actually expensive being antiques. Fast forward ten -fifteen years later the blue and white trend really caught on. The new stuff at stores is beautiful but mass produced, there is something to be said about the unique quality of antique and many vintage pieces. The glassware in the Goodwill’s around here would NEVER be as appealing as the ones that you found. Thrifting around here is sucky. The prices are also horrible! I love the stuff that you found!

I thought I was the only one who keeps different vignettes from GW on standby for rotation. One of my fav times to go is end of the semester at the local college. I have found some of the best original art-or nit so great art in fabulous frames-for next to nothing! Love the thrill of the thrift!!

Love your finds. I loved Those coasters you passed on in marble. I pick up things like that to use under other items to elevate them a bit. And those diamond glasses would make adorable succulent terrariums. It wouldn’t hurt them so they could be totally used as glasses again some day. You do have a very good eye for things. I always like to show prices I gravitate towards though as it resonates with others and inspires others to think outside of the box just as you have shared with me in your comment! I have the same smoke candlesticks too. You are so right about having to go to multiple thrift stores to find great home decor. I don’t drink either but those faceted glasses are fab. You are my thifting soul mate. My entire house is hi-end, vintage thrifted finds. Just to add, sometimes decorators will donate to their local Goodwill. I'm in WPB/Palm Beach and alot of times the employees will tell you who donates. The Mikasa glasses were also sold in TJ Maxx for much lower price. Funny, I also have a large Empire State, got at a Garage sale...I think it may have been from Bombay Co. The bookends are a fabulous find!

Hi Beau. Well, I see that I am too late in suggesting the faceted glasses to be used to house air plants, but that was one if the first options that came to mind. The marble bookends were a great find....would have snatched them up in a second. I, too, am not a big drinker, bit I am.always drawn to beautiful barware. Uniquely shaped glassware serves a function in the appreciation of a good cocktail, not to mention the aesthetic it adds to a display, and as a conversation topic. Hi Beau, it's me again those GW stores shelves look like you shopping homegoods. You passed on so many things I would have been tempted to get. So very hard for me to stay focused only get what actually fits my aesthetic's. I love glass especially crystal. I lived near a mikasa outlet back in the 90's up to mid 2k's I bought a lot. Then my taste changed and stored or sold most of it a yard sale. Now I am on the hunt to get them back. Dang everything old is new again. That’s so interesting! I have definitely seen a variation of how they place prices on items. I once saw a video where they had written on items with a black permanent marker 😱 that definitely stressed me out!

You definitely should go to Goodwill in January the shelves are packed with goods. Everyone does their end of year cleaning which gives us a better opportunity to find what we are looking for.

And my husband and I have found some amazing pieces from home decor and furnishings to clothing❗️My hubby came across an authentic Burberry Men’s coat for $14.99 and bought it, of course. 😌 I’ve found and bought Tory Burch sun glasses, Jimmy Choo handbag, Gucci and Louis Vuitton cosmetic bags all authentic and my list goes on. 🥰 Hubby also came across a pair of authentic Louis Vuitton Men’s shoes for $4.99. He turned around and sold it for over $500.
After watching this, I’m itching to now. But it’s later in the day and it’s really best to go when they open. So tomorrow we’ll plan to go to our favorite thrift store(s) and see what treasures we can find❣️☺️

It is such a rush! Especially when the shelves are piled high with new finds 🤩 I thought the glasses were super unique myself, I’m glad you liked them too!
I would put succulents and white rocks in those whiskey glasses. I don’t drink either, like a burro tail and let it grow out and down.
So many years ago I lived in Eastern Canada, I started thrifting probably out of sheer boredom. It was cold and I didn't know anybody so I just went shopping. Lo Early on I bought a blue and white platter that I just loved for about $10. I loved it so much that I started keeping eye out for more. Over several years I had acquired a little collection, dinner plates, cups, etc. Turns out it was a highly collectible design called Blue Willow and the items were actually expensive being antiques. Fast forward ten -fifteen years later the blue and white trend really caught on. The new stuff at stores is beautiful but mass produced, there is something to be said about the unique quality of antique and many vintage pieces.

The glassware in the Goodwill’s around here would NEVER be as appealing as the ones that you found. Thrifting around here is sucky. The prices are also horrible! I love the stuff that you found!

I thought I was the only one who keeps different vignettes from GW on standby for rotation. One of my fav times to go is end of the semester at the local college. I have found some of the best original art-or nit so great art in fabulous frames-for next to nothing! Love the thrill of the thrift!!

I have the same smoke candlesticks too. You are so right about having to go to multiple thrift stores to find great home decor. I don’t drink either but those faceted glasses are fab. You are my thifting soul mate. My entire house is hi-end, vintage thrifted finds. Just to add, sometimes decorators will donate to their local Goodwill. I'm in WPB/Palm Beach and alot of times the employees will tell you who donates. The Mikasa glasses were also sold in TJ Maxx for much lower price. Funny, I also have a large Empire State, got at a Garage sale...I think it may have been from Bombay Co. The bookends are a fabulous find!

Hi Beau. Well, I see that I am too late in suggesting the faceted glasses to be used to house air plants, but that was one if the first options that came to mind. The marble bookends were a great find....would have snatched them up in a second. I, too, am not a big drinker, bit I am.always drawn to beautiful barware. Uniquely shaped glassware serves a function in the appreciation of a good cocktail, not to mention the aesthetic it adds to a display, and as a conversation topic.

Hi Beau, it's me again those GW stores shelves look like you shopping homegoods. You passed on so many things I would have been tempted to get. So very hard for me to stay focused only get what actually fits my aesthetic's. I love glass especially crystal. I lived near a mikasa outlet back in the 90's up to mid 2k's I bought a lot. Then my taste changed and stored or sold most of it a yard sale. Now I am on the hunt to get them back. Dang everything old is new again. That’s so interesting! I have definitely seen a variation of how they place prices on items. I once saw a video where they had written on items with a black permanent marker 😱 that definitely stressed me out!

😆😆😆 this is very much how my mind works, too, Tracy! It’s like I’ll have everything planned, schedule is set, and then here comes that nuisance of a thought 💭 that I must visit goodwill! Sometimes it pays off though, you just never know!
@@beaualexander7000 And it did! I found some very nice pieces from Pier 1! A bunch of novels, and a small gold book on Audrey Hepburn. One small vase has a name engraved that looks like M Mixanhe and Google shows nothing. Do you have a tried and true place to check names?
@@tracygarrett3952 you made out like a bandit! I love that 🙌🏼 I typically will Google or use Etsy or EBay for reference by just searching the name or the type of product until I find something similar. It’s time consuming but when I’m curious enough, I’ll take a few minutes to play detective 😆

Beautiful finds for sure, thank you for sharing. I love going to Goodwill and finding everything at a much reasonable price. You definitely should go to Goodwill in January the shelves are packed with goods. Everyone does their end of year cleaning which gives us a better opportunity to find what we are looking for.
