- This is an English translation of Alessia G Tramontana's "heart solid granny square" video. This is completely not my pattern. Here is the link to her video: • piastrella granny con ...
By the way I feel really dumb because I don't know why my brain decided that this was French. I am pretty sure it's Italian and I apologize. This is extremely embarrassing but I am not going to re film, edit, and export haha. I also misspelled my instagram username right at the end.
I will be posting the cardigan I make out of these on my instagram @JamieCHaskell.Yarn / jamiechaskell.yarn
And here is the finished cardi 💗:

•The pink part uses 8yds of this yarn and the white part takes 25yds
•The squares are 6inx6in

Hi Jamie ! Thank you so so much for the English translation 🥰 I made a youtube video of me making a crochet heart bag using your tutorial. Your tutorial was super helpful and informative 💗

Thank you 🙏 for the tutorial!!
Thank you for this tutorial! I ended up with 13 dc on all sides first round by skipping the first pre corner dc and the last corner dc. Dc in the middle of the last round gives me 18 dc even!
Thank you
Thank you for this tutorial💚
tysm it was rlly helpful
i'm only halfway through this tutorial (at the part where we're tying in the loose ends!) and i just want to say, this is by far the most comprehensive and thorough crochet tutorial i've ever came across! thank you so much for this! i'm so excited for the finished product :)
Awe thank you so much!!! I always hate when I watch tutorials and I'm like wait huh so I tried to take all the things I didn't like out of tutorials and do the opposite. So happy to be able to help! Send me the final product to my Instagram! @jamiechaskell.yarn
i rly appreciate the tips u leave every now and then bc it makes this tutorial so in-depth, like the needle tip @ 16:31 hehe :D
Thank you !!! This tutoriale save my life😍
Hello I am new to your channel. This is so pretty. This would make a beautiful blanket too. Thanks for the tutorial. Excited to see what else I can learn from you. Thanks again!
I'm so glad I can help out! I wasn't planning on making any other tutorials but I'm getting such a great response to this one that I might just have to! 💗
This tutorial is the best!! It was so easy to follow.
NEW SUBSCRIBER!!!❤️❤️
This is the best tutorial!! I just made mine😁
Awesome!!!! Send me a pic on my Instagram if you can (@jamiechaskell.yarn)
It took me a bit longer to follow along as a beginner, but your clear instructions made it easier to understand :)
I love your video! I feel like we made this together and I'm super proud of the result. Also, can you make tutorial for a regular granny square which is the same size as this heart square? The existing videos on yt don't have the same number of stitches at the end as this one and idk how to fix that :D
great tutorial. to make it easier to get the yarn though the tapestry needle you can fold the yarn over and push the bent yarn end through the eye of the needle. the yarn will go through the eye without catching and fraying.
Thanks a lot for this helpful tutorial!
I was a bit confused at first because I'm still a beginner and my heart turned out wrong like 3 times but I MADE IT🎉
Currently on my first try which is a circle with two holes for eyes 😭
@@isabella715 let me know how it turns out I made all the squares and I'm turning it in to a dress
Here's the pictures of the finished cardi!: instagram.com/p/CKw5OtlL5WE/?igshid=1qus74jdt2rn5
Thank you so much I really loved how u made this video thank you
I know I'm late commenting but this is a cracking tutorial. Thank you!
thanks a lot for this video! it is very helpful and easy to understand!
Awe thank you so much!!!
thank you so much!! just found you from her vidro :)
Omg I'm so glad to be able to help!!!
thank you so much for this!
The hand placement helps alot 🫤
Love this tutorial!! Had a quick question. For the second row where it full-on DC is it alright for the top row of mine to be 13 instead of 14. I've looked it over twice; done it over twice but I can't seem to get 14.
Ofc! It should be fine. Maybe you're forgetting to count the ch 2?
Omg this is so helpful! You’re really good at explaining patterns and I think I’m going to make a crop top/ bra letter with these!
Send me a pic on my Instagram once you're done I'd love to see it!!! Also thanks so much!
Easy to follow for beginner like me. Thanks! Xo ❤
thank you so much Very good tutorial :)
Me encantó todo el video, solo que tiene poco volumen pero aún así se puede entender, gracias 🌷
Me encanta, gracias🤗
Great job!
queen! tysm... seriously
You're welcome!!!
Thank you
Healthy hugs. I did it 👏💓
that other video is in italian and it sounds so cool to listen to even if i dont fully understand it
Thank you for a clear explanation of how to crochet this beautiful granny square
How can I increase the size to a 6” square..
You would just do more rounds of the solid dc until you get the size you want
Thank you so much . Was such joy to see the completed project . 💕
Starting this for a bag for one of my friends birthday, coming back to say if the result was good
making a pair of sweatpants... will be watching video with every square...
I LOVE U I LOVED THR OTHER VIDEO TOO BUT IT WAS IN ITALIAN😩❤️
Hi! Loved making this. I want to add this square to an Afghan with solid squares. Do you have a pattern for a solid granny square that has 18 stitches per side?
thank you so much for this video
Yw!!!
I had no problem with the crochet heart but, when i made solid squares to make a tote bag they were 2 completely different sizes
So, the intervals from my solid granny square is 3, 7, 11, 15
But with the one with the heart trom this tutorial is 13/14 then 18....they don't line up and idk how to fix my normal solid granny square for it to work :(
Thanks for the tutorial! It was super helpful! Can you stop after the first white border if it’s for a smaller project?
Yes! Totally! You can just do the first white round or keep going for however big you want it. It might end up being a little wonky because the other borders help even it out but I'm sure you could make it work!
@@jamiehaskellyarn thank you so much for this! My hat came out so cute!!
@@jordanhoward2511 Ooo nice I wanna see! Send me a pic on my Instagram @jamiechaskell.yarn if you can!!!
How big is this square?
thank you!
HI! if I want a larger size should I just do more rounds of the round 2 in the video? BTW thanks for this tutorial I loved it!
Yes! Just remember that the heart will remain the same size.
this is my first crochet creation and i found it so easy to follow, thank you :D i feel like my square is a little bugged so far but i also think i had a tiny bit inconsistent tension in some bits. still i feel so proud!!! ❤️
OMG TYSM but im just a begginer in crochet i want to do this😔
Hey! I was once too! It was all 100% UA-cam university man haha
Make more video like this plz 😊😊
It’s really help me a lot 💜💜💜💜
I'd love to but do you have any suggestions? I would love to show how I make stuff but a lot of it is from other peoples patterns :/
oooo such a great explanation, plenty of talented gals on here but can't teach very well oops
I made a lot of granny squares thanks to your video. However, there's a fault in the written tutorial. For round 1 of the white yarn, its written triple crochet, ch2, triple crochet in the next stitch while in the video you've done it as triple crochet, ch2, triple crochet in the same stitch. I got a huge hole when I did according to the written ver n was wondering what was wrong hehe
Ah! Thank you so much. Just fixed it!
@@jamiehaskellyarn Its repeated after a couple of lines also
you r a gem
if I want to make a smaller heart, by converting the trcs into dcs and the dcs into scs, will I have to change anything in the square?
Hm. Your stitch count wouldn't be off but it could make your square a little funky. I'd say try it out and see if you like it
@@jamiehaskellyarn hey, I tried it, but it wouldn't even form a heart shape. best to stick to the video:)
@@malvika2892 awe darn :/ maybe try to find a thinner yarn of the same color you're using if possible
I want to like to make crochet awesome cool colors designs like this
thank u sm!!
