I would HIGHLY recommend giving up coffee completely& eliminating as much caffeine/sugar as possible. I have severe anxiety & slightly high BP and oddly enough coffee made it SO MUCH WORSE. when I stopped drinking coffee/caffeine my anxiety got so much better! it’s something you wouldn’t think effects anxiety but it totally does!

Yes!!! I stopped drinking caffeine because it started hurting my back and my heart rate would sky rocket then in turn send me into a panic attack. I haven’t had caffeine in over 10 years at this point.
Agree, one time I drank coffee and then went to a dr appt and they said my BP was super high and needed to recheck it bc they were worried as I usually have normal BP. So yes i agree & have heard coffee/caffeine can heighten BP & anxiety.

Yes I also was told to stop any kind of caffeine it was really hard at first but I felt amazing after 3 months ❤️
The panic attack’s are definitely from postpartum. Your hormones are still trying to get back to normal. I’m sorry your going through these things. It will all be ok

My kid HATED pace feeding. If you stopped a bottle mid flow she’d freak out. Grandma thought it was a good idea but that didn’t last long lol

I was diagnosed with hypertension earlier this year. Although mine is much more mild than yours and I am on a very small dosage it is actually not correlated to anxiety. My doctor also had me do a stress test and see a cardiologist and get an echo test to ensure that the high blood pressure had not been affecting my heart since it's obviously not good for your heart to be over working all the time. I would definitely make sure you get those. And also FYI high blood pressure is hereditary. I am in great shape and exercise and still have it. You can be healthy and a healthy weight and still have high blood pressure
Have you considered taking a break from UA-cam? That might eliminate some stress.

Registered Dietitian here: definitely pay attention to your sodium intake from your food (try to limit adding salt to your meals, look for low sodium options, try salt alternatives). Obviously, diet is not the only thing that causes hypertension, but I just thought I would throw this out there as salt does increase our BP as well. Aim to consume less than 2,300 mg of sodium per day. Sorry that you are going through this!

HOLLY Dolly I just recently cut out dairy. It hasn’t CURED my panic disorder but I definitely feel a difference. And my body isn’t in as much pain as it used to be! Never knew dairy could affect a person so much!

I stopped getting bad anxiety when I quit drinking caffeine. I also started taking magnesium, vitamin d, fish oil, and calcium. If you haven’t tried yet I highly suggest switching to decaf. :)

Same. In the summer of 2017 I was having awful anxiety and panicc attacks brought on by nothing. I went to see a therapist and I decided to stop coffee around that same time. It stopped completely after a couple weeks.
Sitting out in the sun is better than taking vitamin d.

Just wanted to touch base on the topic you discussed in your Instagram story when someone asked if you were gonna have any more kids & you said “can I enjoy the baby I have now” I don’t think anyone asking that is meaning it in that way! I think people are asking if you’re considering have more kids since experiencing motherhood now. Some give birth and automatically decide they want no more like I did. I just don’t want you to feel that people are already pressuring you about another child. We love seeing your baby and family ❤️ I think some are just curious if you your experience makes you not want or do want more.

It’s just annoying when people ask that. My daughter is almost five and people still ask us.
It’s still a rude thing to ask. You never know if complications happened and they can no longer have more kids. You never know what someone is going through. People should be more mindful.

I was diagnosed with it years ago that I’m on 10mg and my doctor has even told me that I could go down to 5mg. Just make sure you drink water and stay active. Cut back on coffee ☕️ and you will be fine pretty lady. Tfs🤗

Cathy M it’s not really pre packaged nothing is pre seasoned or processed it’s just like the produce you would get at a grocery store I have high bp too and it’s fine

@@Creative_contour yes but the actual meals themselves do have a lot of sodium and calories. you should check the nutritional information about some of those hello fresh meals. They aren't as healthy as they try to advertise at all.
You should just let YT go an focus on your family. Babies tend to pick up vibes from parents and not saying the followers wouldn't miss the videos, but truth be told you have suffered from these panic attacks since you were young and the added stress of trying to keep up with this job may be to much. We all would rather you be around for your son for a long time and this is just one more reason to be under pressure.
It shows when you do put videos out. No Hate. Just observation. You can still make your money from posting on Instagram that way especially with the VIRUS going on you can just relax and be YOU with your little family. Followers will still be with you on Instagram. [ And for the love of God stop with the mediums! ] Trust GOD.. :/

Melissa B you obviously haven’t noticed the changes in her since she had this baby. She’s def suffering from some PPD and the comments are getting to her. She seems down, always posting PSA’s on IG and constantly explaining why she’s doing this or doing that. She had to tell the camera why she wasn’t wearing her wedding ring. She’s too concerned about others opinions and it’s not healthy. I think she should get in a mental place where she’s more comfortable and the hate doesn’t get to her as much. Some women struggle in the beginning of motherhood and that is OK. But struggling in front of an audience who are saying vial things is not. We’ll all still be here for her when she feels better

My dads cardiologist said a lot of heart conditions that happen to young people can be solved by restraining from sugar and carbohydrates. He said," Sugar is used for sugar scrubs. Imagine a sugar scrub going through your arteries at 50 mph." I'll always remember him saying that. I went on keto and got rid of my hypertention and diabetes. I actually got sick being vegetarian and vegan for 3 years. Hormones take a while to regulate. I had full blown panic attacks at target 2 months postpartum. I'm now 3 months postpartum for my second kid and I'm feeling okay. Do what makes you happy. Have an at home spa day.

@@beanz4123 opposite lol Four generations of high blood pressure and diabetes. We all got better eating high fat low carb low sugar. One of those situations where my health was in the gutter due to my body not being able to convert carbs or sugar into energy, mind you I rode 15+ miles daily on my rode bike. Ended up becoming my healthiest and off meds doing heavy lifting/ keto carnivore. I strongly believe some people are meant to be herbivores and other carnivors. I was the perfect vegan and it jacked me up :/ My vegan brother is in the same boat his heart is going bad 4 yrs of being vegan.

It’s kind of disappointing to me how you put a question box up on Instagram for people to ask you general questions, and of course people are going to be curious if you plan on more children... Yet when they ask, you answer rudely. Obviously you have a brand new baby, obviously no one expects that you’re going to pop another one out nine months from today... it’s just a general question especially since you guys have Bella as well. So maybe you didn’t plan on anymore.. it’s not that big of a deal. I feel bad for those that generally were curious and then got rude answers like “Can I just enjoy the baby I just had two months ago?” Honestly, I’d rather you didn’t answer my question at all if it were me asking.

Eliminate caffeine! Sleep 8-9 hours (I know that’s difficult with baby, but it will help), read, listen to videos of rain or calming instrumental music, watch Gilmore Girls (it’s so therapeutic for me), aromatherapy, light therapy, bed yoga on UA-cam 🧘♀️
I have the same thing after I had my son. It totally sucks. Now with this Covid-19 my anxiety its through the roof

Meg I messaged your Instagram as well but in case you don’t see it please ask your DR’s about Postpartum cardiomyopathy. Or to have a echocardiogram, my family member had this and her drs missed it she was 5 months postpartum and she had a heart failure. Praying for you and your health 🙏🏼

Also something I wish people told me or at least I didn’t know with my first and I have 3 kids now.... is that your stress and mood affects the baby big time. Happy momma happy baby. I suggest meditation for anxiety and less junk good. It helped me I went through a rough time with my first I didn’t wanna leave my room.
You'll be fine, baby girl. Just take the meds and follow the doctor's instructions. I was put on BP meds when I was your age and that was 20 years ago. I do a daily devotion on an app called Abide and I also use the breathing exercise on an app called Calm. Blessings!

With the right diet you don't need meds for blood pressure.
you had anxiety before your baby. it’s unfortunate that you thought a baby had the potential to cure it. Meditation has potential.. Remember baby feels what you feel x.

So sorry to hear about your high BP issues. I'm in my 50's and have it. I can tell you diet plays a big part. I totally changed my diet & although on 2 meds. its under control. I did 2 things. No sugar & No sodium. Replace salt with flavor. Mrs. Dash, garlic powder ect.
mysonruns it makes me sad that drs go straight to meds instead of diet it can 100% lower it many people will skip that part and go for the scripts it should be diet then meds if necessary Mrs Dash is amazing ! Also spyke is another natural substitute for salt it’s yummy

Sometimes we do that when we think things are cute. It’s called cute aggression. I find myself doing it with my pets sometimes. Google it, it’s just an instinctive response.
Try looking into grounding techniques to help when you’re having anxious thoughts. There’s a method called the 5-4-3-2-1 method that helps bring you back to the present moment when you’re caught in your anxiety. You can also try breathing techniques like belly breathing. These are some techniques that you can do anywhere and anytime when you need to calm yourself back down from anxious thoughts. Also, if you aren’t right now, try finding a therapist or counselor to talk to. Right now a lot of places are doing telehealth due to the crisis our society is in, so you can do it from home.
Having a baby or any kids period is super stressful. Plus, she used to be on Prozac & that causes huge stress. Not only that I would all the time be stressed if I were married to Anthony but, I have to admit, he seems a lot better & nicer since they got married & had a baby. That's just UA-cam. We never know what is really going on in their life.
I think your current stress with baby, covid19, postpartum all together is raising your anxiety through the roof and causing your hypertension.

At his age he needs 10-12 hrs of sleep a night and he gets ALL his feedings / calories in the day. It was approved by our pediatrician and our sleep consultant set up this schedule for us. He used to have one feeding really early in the morning & really late at night and we started eliminating one at a time and now he’s sleeping 10-11 hours straight. Nothing is wrong with his weight. He’s gaining perfectly.

I never comment but I figured that maybe my comment might help you to feel a little bit better. I went through the same exact thing that you’re going through. And while I was going through it ALL I wanted was for someone who had been through it to tell me that they had experienced what I was experiencing and that I would be ok. Well, I’m hoping to do that for you. I never had issues with BP prior to becoming pregnant. I had my first child, a son, September 2019. He’s almost 8 months now. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia and I was actually induced one day, three weeks prior to my due date. I was being monitored for my high BP all the time, at every office visit. Well one time I went in and they told me to just go to triage at the hospital to get checked out, I would probably be sent home. I wasn’t. I was induced that day because my BP was scary high. Never having had dealt with “health issues” before and then dealing with it while pregnant and then while a new first time mom was so scary to me. On my check ups postpartum I would think my BP would be controlled and it wasn’t. It was only getting worse. They kept messing with my medication to try and fix it. Nothing was fixing it. It was stresssssing me out. Then I was also dealing with lack of sleep, just being so overwhelmed with a huge life change, so concerned about every little thing in regards to my son, on and on. It all contributed I think. I had my first major panic attack about 2 months postpartum. I had never experienced that before. I thought I was dying. I didn’t know what to do. It was the first night my husband went back to work, and he works overnight. I was TERRIFIED. My dad came and picked me up the next day after he heard what happened and I spent the next 2 months at my parents getting help. I went to counseling, therapy, you name it, I tried it. I kept hearing from the doctors, “this is so common”. Even at the counseling sessions no one there had it. I felt so alone. If it was so common why couldn’t I meet anyone who had been through it. Long story short, my BP is now under control, I no longer take the meds. I have had a couple episodes of panic attacks and some lingering anxiety and truth be told I still get scared most nights it will happen again. But, it doesn’t. YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS. YOU WILL FEEL BETTER. THERE IS A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL. Pray. Pray a lot. That’s what really helped me. God is in control. He put you on this earth for a purpose and you’re that sweet angel’s momma. Happy Mother’s Day! Your son is adorable. Don’t get down on yourself. You’re doing a great job! NO ONE can parent or love your child better than you can. You got this!
Best form of Meditation hands down is when God is present. PRAY ! Don’t be fooled by the luxury of paying people who tell you your future.. TRUST GOD , Lean on HIM & Not THE WORLD ... God is GOD ALMIGHTY . & he knows where these so called Mediums get their power from .. & Lord knows it ain’t from him. I’d be more than happy to touch base on what I just spoke about . G B AMEN girl!!!! So glad someone said it. I kept scrolling through the comments and all I saw were worldly suggestions (diet change, exercise, eliminate sodium etc). Those things don’t work!! And if they do it’s only temporary. Jesus is the ultimate comfort. Philippians 4:6-7 speaks about anxiety. God can remove all anxiety from your life if you just trust Him and cry out to Him. I didn’t have a depressed feeling after giving birth but I had SEVERE anxiety for about the first year of my sons life. Postpartum depression is not always depression it can be anger, anxiety, etc. it’s mostly extreme emotions.
6 months after my son was born, I was diagnosed with high blood pressure. I have been taking blood pressure medicine since 2018. It’s okay, it’s scary but just follow your gut and your doctor’s recommendation for treatments.

Start eating healthy!!! Cut out the coffee!! Stop eating out so much, that food is full os sodium nd crap! Maybe try a keto, paleo diet.

I am a mother myself. I have never commented anything like that and almost didn’t. I just felt really upset seeing that. I see a very distinct teeth grit because he’s fussing and her hand tighten behind his head. I’m not trying to be ridiculous or cause trouble.

My dads blood pressure was 200/130 and they told him that he was a ticking time bomb and they don’t even know how it’s possible he’s walking. That was when he was 25 and he’s 55 now. He’s been on high blood pressure medicine ever sense and is totally fine and manageable. Keep your head up ❤️

I was diagnosed with hypertension at age 14! Unfortunately, I’ve been on medication ever since and will most likely be on it for the rest of my life. It was definitely scary to hear at first, but It really hasn’t affected me on a daily basis. Best thing to do to keep your blood pressure steady (on top of medication) is to eliminate caffeine and salt from your diet. From looking at the comments, it seems that would also help with your anxiety, so it would be a win/win! It’s also really important to get in some daily physical activity.
For panic attacks, in the moment, try combat breathing. You breathe in for 4 seconds, hold it for 4 seconds, then release for 4 seconds and hold for 4 seconds - repeat at least 4x or until you can calm down.
I went through this exact same thing with my 2nd baby, it’s scary but it gets better once sleep returns and hormones balance. I also had anxiety before kids, but anxiety after kids is like 10x stronger! Hang in there, Meg! You’re doing a great a job. 😍
It’s scary dealing with anything when it comes to your health but change your lifestyle up.
Exercise, yoga, therapy, eating different / healthy diet . And watch it change dramatically. 🤞
So, hbp can be hereditary. You can control this with diet change: watch the salt, try to limit caffeine, but the diet can really impact your hbp. I had to go to the ER for hbp too, and had many tests done. Luckily my issues are not severe, but anxiety plays a lot into my hbp. Best wishes, but definitely look into your diet, and try not to worry. Limit stress in your life, and relax.

Many studies have shown that women with preeclampsia are not being adequately monitored and are experiencing high blood pressure long after they give birth. Doctors are often missing the severity because the follow up care is not as thorough. Blood pressure fluctuates so much throughout the day and sometimes it can be within normal range at your checkup visit. Utilize the blood pressure machine; document the numbers throughout the day: first waking up, after meals, after a stressful moment, workouts, before bed etc for a few weeks and then follow up and communicate directly with your cardiologist. Please make sure you see a specialist for the best care and options; especially since hypertension runs in your family. Sending lots of love. Stay well, Meg and stay safe ❤️
I was diagnosed with hypertension as well and am currently on bp meds. Once you get it under control it's no biggie but of course it sucks. Also, you should try the onyx and rose cbd-oil if you haven't. Katie and Hayden that own Alani Nu own this company as well and it's helped me so so much with anxiety and panic attacks! Girl, I have anxiety and multiple health problems and I follow a man called Ramdass he is a spiritual guru and he just recently passed away, he does meditations and his voice is so soothing you can find them on UA-cam, it’s something about his voice. He actually had a massive stroke years ago due to old life habits he had and instead of letting it change his life negatively he completely saw it as a positive thing and continued to touch peoples lives. He’s honestly amazing and sooo insightful and calming. Check him out. Also diet is a huge thing for hypertension as your dad may have mentioned so check that out and start doing light exercise while reducing hypertension it also will help you with your anxiety. Usually at this age they are pretty serious looking lol my son does it too! But he’s now starting to smile a lot (he just turned 3 months)
My niece is two months and she has a serious face most of the time.
When they smile for the first 3 months it’s reflex and not a true smile until but some babies smile as early as 6 weeks. Each baby develops differently, my son is 7 weeks and only “smiles” in his sleep or when he’s trying to poop.
My baby girl was smiling hours after she came out. I always wondered why I never see this baby ever smile.

I’ve had an anxiety disorder since high school and I’m in my senior year of college now (22). Starting Jan of this year my life seemingly completely exploded in front of me with family problems, I became homeless and with all that and other things I triggered an autoimmune disease to develop and through all that I started fainting and finally got into a dr last month and my BP was 155/100. She immediately had me stop taking my birth control pills bc of the stroke risk and just told me it may be life or death if I don’t do everything I can to reduce my stress. My BP really didn’t improve until I finally found housing and the quarter ended and I got a week for spring break. My point is- it is scary, really scary. But in my experience it was 100% stress and sometimes we really just have to force ourselves to do anything we can to reduce that stress🙏🏻♥️
Did they tell you, you could potentially have Pre-eclampsia? I was 5 days PP ( which they say you can still get pre-clampsia months after delivery ) when I was admitted into the emergency room with my BP being 160/100. They put me on a magnesium drip for 24 hours to prevent seizure / stroke. I was in the hospital for 4 days, they discharged me with a BP medicine and I’ve been taking it for 2 months now. My Dr. pretty much said I had pre-eclampsia underlying my whole pregnancy. This sounds a lot like that. Stay hydrated, take your BP meds everyday. They should be able to wean you off of it down the road 💖

My son slept through the night at 2 months. We fed him at 7pm and he woke up at 7 am.

People say for the night but what they mean usually for the baby’s long stretch of sleep however long that is. It could be 3 hours or some baby’s sleep 12 it just depends on the baby and how well they sleep and then they feed them again once baby wakes up. Some of these comments🙄 if you’re not a parent stop commenting, you don’t know!

I had post partum anxiety when I had my first child, definitely not a fun experience! I also suffer with PTSD. 2 children later, I still have panic attacks but not as often. But with everything going on I can feel them trying to creep up on me. I’m staying away from caffeine, negative news or shows. These months with a newborn go by so fast, you will miss them, just focus on him and your health ❤️🙏
My husband deals with the same thing. Anxiety, insomnia, high blood pressure, and headaches...it’s an on going struggle not only for him but for us as a couple. Try to keep your head up, get as much sleep as you can. You’re an amazing mom! And you can only keep being amazing by taking care of yourself so you can take care of your little man!
Also I use to drink lavender, chamomile tea for my anxiety and stress. I can't drink it anymore bc it makes me way too tired to tend to my baby but I definitely recommend it for anxiety.

It’s definitely postpartum depression. I felt the same way when I had my last baby. It was really hard to deal with. Having high blood pressure is no joke. Make sure u take your medication, u can definitely have a stroke if u don’t keep that under control.

My husband started struggling with blood pressure last year. He would get unbearable headaches. He’s on daily medicine now and everything is fine. Bravo to you mama for getting help where you need it. Even if it involves medicine. I’ve watched you since I was 16 and I’ll continue to also be a supporter ♥️

I have hypertension and had a high risk pregnancy because of it. I’m blessed I delivered at 37 weeks with zero complications and have a healthy baby boy. Hypertension is a serious thing. My mother just recently passed away because she suffered from end stage renal failure caused by years of untreated hypertension. I totally understand what you’re going through the same thing.
Jewel Aiken what symptoms do you have? Or how were u feeling before going into doctor? I had a high risk pregnancy and slight preeclampsia. My bp got to high and I had to deliver at 34weeks. Baby healthy. But my bp acts up sometimes since and I’m not sure why or what.

Counciling, Bible study, SLEEPING, healthy diet(watch your sugars caffeine and salt intake, meditating, me-time). It’s all a mental game. Practice gratitude. Mind over matter. Once all this is over, get help from friends and family to help with baby while you do chores. Have date nights with Ant. It takes a village. You got this!!!

When I was a fist time mom I had twins everyone envied me when I was thinking you guys are crazy. I would stress about my house not being clean or organized but in reality this doesn’t matter because all these things will continue to be there. Enjoy you le baby and every moment you can; I know you are but you never have to apologize to your viewers if we really enjoy your company we will understand especially if you are a new mom.
Now my twins are almost 12 and I have another little boy that is 2 years old and try to enjoy every second that I can with them; that’s including my understanding husband. My heart goes out to you and your family but especially to you because I know being a mom was the most desired thing for you and i want you to enjoy every little second of it. I wish you the best and I really hope you take care of yourself because Caden needs you.
It’s anxiety from Covid19 I’m sure! Everything will be fine. Being a new mom, lack of sleep ect all contribute. Low sodium diet. Low stress. Limit alcohol. Heart healthy diet. Exercise

Meg get a complete physical done and have them check your vitamin D levels if they are really low it can cause a lot of depression and panic attacks! I was going thru the same thing and my levels were extremely low, as soon as I started taking the vitamin D supplements those symptoms disappeared. Tfs xoxo
Ive never had a baby but I had the same issue at 22 (32 now). I went to the emergency room for a panic attack that I couldn't get under control and my blood pressure was so severely high that I was put in the ICU, and even after the panic attack it wouldn't come down. I was diagnosed with severe hypertension and had to go on medication, which didn't work and had to be changed 3 times, but I am not only a prescription that works and keeps my blood pressure at normal levels. Mine is hereditary according to my doctor and I will forever be on meds, but with meds it is treated and not harming my heart. It takes a bit coming to terms with being on medication forever but its the only cure for my case, so its just part of life. You have to just be thankful that they caught it early before it causes lasting damage and that with medication, you can have normal blood pressure.

Anxiety can definitely cause your blood pressure to be up. I never had mine that high due to stress, but I’ve had my thyroid cause issues like that. Hopefully they do a full bloodwork up on you to make sure there’s not an underlying condition. I had the exact opposite problem when I was pregnant with my first. My BP would get so low I’d want to pass out. I just found out I was pregnant a week ago and I get anxiety about going through a lot of these apts alone. My husband isn’t allowed back for the first ultrasound. I was looking forward to that memory of my little girl being there too so we could cherish that as a family. It’s just a rough time for everyone.

No, she hasn't talked about it only thing she has said is they are doing what's best for their child.
She pumped and supplemented at first , after a few weeks kaden took the formula well so they stuck to that, also Could not pump enough to keep the supply up
She’s formula feeding she mentioned it in her insta live, she said it was cause of her “complications” after labor.. 🤷🏻♀️

Hi Meg, your health problems hit home for me. When i had my first son i was 32 weeks pregnant and i was rushed to the ER because i had severe preclampsia with HELLP syndrome which is very rare. It caused my placenta to rupture and my baby didnt have any oxygen going to his brain which caused him to have partial brain damage. I suffered with high blood pressure for months after giving birth. I was also on Xanex due to my anxiety which i feel like it was triggering my high BP. It took a lot to overcome my anxiety but my mom helped me out a lot just talking to her made me feel better. She would assure me i was going to be fine. I think it also takes time for your body to recover from all the hormones and being pregnant. I also stopped drinking caffeine which was hard for a sleep deprived mother lol. Just wanted to tell you that you are not alone and you will overcome this Im now pregnant with my 4th child and my other pregnancies have been completely normal.

I’m completely understand how you feel. My son is 8 months now but when he was smaller I was struggling so much like you. I can tell you’re overwhelmed with motherhood and everything else because I’ve been there too. I was putting so much pressure on myself. I would constantly tell myself “other women do this all the time why can’t I?” But I learned really quickly to let that go. It was affecting my relationship with my husband and my son because I wouldn’t be bonding with him like I should be because I was too busy doing chores cooking and doing everything else. Like you said, learn to relax and just sit on the couch with your baby boy. Enjoy these months because my god, they fly by. It’s ridiculous how fast time goes by.
