Good honest review. Very useful in our "On Line" world. If the box says it is 1/16th it simply should be 1/16th.......I bet there will be a lot of returns on this one.
Great review, we are birds of a feather, if they would do this 1/14 true and all metal like the 583 and 580/1580 I would jump. This is a toy to be sure not hobby/pro grade or to scale, thanks for sharing.
Offed it right away on eBay. Now I kinda wished I still had it because I would have dropped my new 60lb dozer on it and smashed it to bits. That would make a cool video I think!
I have a nearly 3 year old nephew that I have bought a lot of the Bruder toys for. Two of them he will get on Christmas this year are the 1/16th scale Mack semi flat loader, as well as a Euro Man semi flat loader. Both trucks are massive at over 30" in length, and their payloads are scaled for the trucks. The Man has a Cat dozer on the flat bed that looks to be in the scale of the toy you pulled out of the polystyrene box. The Bruder dozer you compared it to dwarfs both the dozer on the Man truck, as well as the front end loader on the Mack.
Really you thought this guy's review was good ... ? You could tell he never even got them in dirt . He talked about price full metal hydrolic dozer min. 2500.00 compared to ruffly 80.00 hum
My tractor like this only works on control for a maximum of 1 minute, even with the battery and charged batteries. Do you know what this could be? Is there a solution? What is the average normal operating time?
Wow, it is almost as if this video was made exactly for me. I have the 1:14 excavator Huina and Amweii (I agree, excellent) and I have the Bruder 1:16, which I intend to make electric out the components of one of my excavators. I was curious about the Dozer, and you made a completely perfect video showing it... which made me decide to lose interest in buying it. MANY THANKS!
Thanks for your review and I really do love your channel especially on Tamiya ...I do however take slight disagreement with you on this item .. I do agree on the less than ideal scale point though ...Other than that here's how i see this dozer ..I like mine a lot given the price which was about $105 Australian It does push surprisingly well and by adding some weight to the undercarriage even more so ...I model HO Scale model rail via Athearn , Kato , Intermountain , Broadway Limited and Atlas and have spent at least $30,,000 over a dozen years and use fully digital command control to build a substantial layout now ..When I started in the hobby though I began with cheap basic Bachmann and Model Power analog train sets , not super detailed like my stuff is now and a fraction of the price but it set me deep into this fantastic pastime that otherwise I may not have discovered . Huina and similar cheap brands should be seen as the chance for newbies to do similarly in R/C earthmoving or any other R/C genre ..Yes these are "toys' by serious R/C standards but for some with limited budgets it allows perhaps a kick start into a fascinating new world ...Your brilliant vids on the much more advanced equipment are a highlight for me and a joy to watch..Thanks so much ...
I agree I have one of their excavators and love it!!!! Was gunna order one of these to go with it but not now lol thank you for your honesty. You earned a sub!!!!
The old Nu-bright D9, is the one to go for, if...you can still get one, the scale is the same as the Bruder model, I have upgraded this model to include the Bruder linked tracks and sprockets, the Huina 550 excavator transmitter and master board, don,t know wether to up-grade the blade mech as works quite well, I was going to get the Huina offering, but will press on with my old Nu bright for now...
What the heck is w/ the scale they so did it up wrong. I’m considered a legend by others on conversions and when I heard the word conversion I had to check this out 😉👍🏼
Haha Bob! This is actually a matter for the and since you had that accident (I'm glad you are recovering well!) you first had a giant Toyota 1/10 on a diminished 1/14 truck and now this... Please try to stay 'on scale'... Just kidding, but I'm really OCD considering sizes! Cheerio
Thank you for this review I was thinking of this to replace the old custom made one but not any more . Tiny you should do a size comparison with tamiya truck for the excavators I am looking for a huina excavator.
Actually here is a picture from Huina showing the 1/14 scale printed on the excavator box: facebook.com/photo?fbid=2377892552534234&set=a.1431828280474004
@@HobbyconceptsLLC Unfortunately - and as you were mentioning with the dozer - Huina tends to claim false scales (larger than they actually are). This doesn't take away the fact that they are great value and quality though :-)
I think this review is slightly misleading. You suggest that it is Huina themselves who are stating the scale as 1:16. Huina's own website makes no mention of the scale of this model. It is websites the likes of AliExpress that mention 1:16. Huina only states the models dimensions.
Actually you are incorrect. Hunia has 1:16 printed on the box. You can see the box on their Facebook page here: facebook.com/photo?fbid=2820098434980308&set=a.1431828280474004
Unfortunately RC construction equipment is very expensive if you want it to be the right kind there's no way to get around it it has to be $1,000 on up and even at $1,000 you're really not going to get much. It kind of starts at about the $2,000 range just to get started. And if the vehicle does not have a real hydraulic system then you may as well not even bring it to the table
Agreed! The first company to the table with a nice 1/14 Dozer for around $500 or so will sell a ton of them. Maybe HG models is listening, their stuff is amazing.
I was going to buy one, but what, way out of scale...I am lucky enough to own a New Bright power dozer, great model for its day and is close to 1.16 scale and is miles better, so am upgrading this as rather than spend money on this thing..lol
Starting to look at your Construction Equipment videos.... Sorry I started with this one. Sounds like you're sorry you paid good money for it. Well Bob...... You could paint it White and put Bobcat decals on it. 😜 THEN it might be 1/14th Scale!! 😂😂😁
You are wright, Huina models are definitly not the scale that they announce on the box. My wife bought a dumptruck and a wheelloader and both vehicles are realy another scale then it supposed to be.
There's a reason why they didn't send it in the original box/sleeve. It would say on the sleeve what scale it really is. I'm guessing they are thinking your not smart enough to know the difference, hence, no sleeve. Send it back.
WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO RELEASE A DECENT BULLDOZER THIS IS CRAP IT'S NOTHING ON THE EXCAVATOR, THIS IS SECOND RATE It has no guts mostly plastic I added lead weight to mine

Yes, I don't want anyone else fooled!
Great heads up video on the size and scale.
Great honest review, learnt a lot especially working out the scale. Have crossed this dozer off my Christmas list. Thanks

Another good video. And FYI the "Spike" is called a ripper.
glad i got to see your video because i was just getting ready to buy one thanks so much for the heads up thats so good to know
I'm thinking if you cut the cab off, put a scale worker on it so it is just a smaller cabless dozer?

Thanks for this great review!
Thank yo for the info I was just gonna buy it last night
Look awesome😍👍
Think they are trying get them to scale as the 1592 is 1/14 quarry excavator
Yes 592 is a perfect fit to 1/14 scales of justice 👌✅
That power rear spike is called a ripper.
You should do a review of which one pushes better

You ever push dirt with any of them ?
Aye man I made a order for speaker mount radio sprey paints and rims but one question when will you have lesu tires? For dump?
January (I hope)

Thanks for your honest review. Very disappointed with Tamiya not being honest about the scale of this.
It is Huina - not Tamiya.
Huina seem to pick the scales they put on their products blindfolded.
Could include some of the prices on the Bull dozers and trucks thanks
Hi Bob, I would ask for a refund, because of the false advertising . Great video 👍
What the heck is w/ the scale they so did it up wrong. I’m considered a legend by others on conversions and when I heard the word conversion I had to check this out 😉👍🏼
So any word on replacing the light bar on the Hemet?
nice video Bob, how about the 1/16 Bruder is it worth the money ?
The Bruder is a beautiful toy. Non powered but makes a great load for a Tamiya semi.
are you going to get in touch with huina to see what excuse they have ?
Almost all their products list incorrect scales.

As always, great review Bob!
One detail though: the excavators are 1/16, not 1/14. Same with the 583 loader.

just get a 1/22 scale trailer truck to haul it! :p
Forced perspective shots, maybe. 1/12 driver, 1/14 truck, 1/16 lowboy, 1/24 dozer?
It would make cleaning Legos up more fun. Big oof on their scale though.
I built a front blade attachment- stick rake. Even made a video about it
Could you do some videos on the excavator thanks

Huina never got the scales right. 580 and 550 are advertised as 1:14 but is actually 1:18.
For sure, but this time it is not even close....
@@HobbyconceptsLLC, close to 1/20 scale. Just for have fun i buy one today. but, can i updated the unit an put more power on it? Thanks

It looks more like a Cat D-11 and would come in closer to 1:32 scale. That D-7 would be even smaller than a D-9.
Ok. Did. Not. Know. Thanks 👍. Lee
I always wanted a big RC buldozer since I was a kid but that comes short
You are wright, Huina models are definitly not the scale that they announce on the box. My wife bought a dumptruck and a wheelloader and both vehicles are realy another scale then it supposed to be.
OR. instead of makin up numbers you could do math and Divide 318 by 14.5 to get 21.93 which is your scale or 176/8 = 22. Either way.
Does somebody make a 1:14 scale dozer?
Divide 318 by 14.5
Thanks for the review, I was looking to get a dozer... This will NOT be it..
Not suitable for me use of this RC toys size that really matters most of lower level power full operations 😰

that's unfortunate. thats a joke.
Hi, there's an ebay bulldozer that looks better and has two version's, plastic
and metal.

Nooooo small small ligth light plástic
It is basically a really good toy for a child. Very misrepresented by a seemingly reputable company. I wonder why they pulled thus stunt.
