Did it work after cleaning ? I have a non smart version and the USB ports just stopped working (actually the 3rd unit this has happened on ) and it would be a shame to ewaste it
It didn't :( I had to remove the motherboard from the chain to make it work - Desoldered the connections to the motherboard and soldered them directly (wires to those metal things)
Looks like salts formed by improperly cleaned flux. This will corrode the circuitry. Bit of a shame to screw this up when they built the bus bars so well.

This has happened to me twice. Once it gets overloaded up to a point, I think an internal fuse will blow. This is my theory anyway
